I'm a fan of their original kettle corn, and chances are you've taste it yourself if you've ever grabbed popcorn at a Fiesta event, SXSW, or a high school football game. These guys are out on the scene pretty frequently. They have too many flavors to list here, but off the top of my head, they include margarita, jalapeño, cotton candy, caramel, and more. This place is a locally owned business that specializes in off-site events and parties, it's not exactly a store front, but you can walk in and pick up some popcorn. So, you'll want to call ahead and make sure they're not gone for an event if you'd like to stop by!

This shop sells fudge, truffles, candied apples, and - what I came for - ice cream! They had a lot of ice cream flavors to choose from, a least a couple dozen. The smiling young woman working behind the ice cream counter offered to give tastes, but I had already figured out which flavors I wanted. I chose two scoops in a cup, one of Cappucino Chip and the other Turtle Cheesecake. They have several tables to sit at, some along a hallway and more in a back room. I took a seat and was in awe of the huge scoops given. The Cappuccino Chip had a mild flavor (I prefer it stronger) but a fair number of tiny chocolate chips. The Turtle Cheesecake had an excellent cheesecake flavor with swirls of caramel, praline pecans, and caramel-filled mini turtles. I'm usually not fond of nuts in my ice cream but I actually enjoyed the pralines. In my humble opinion, there were too few turtles. But I still loved it. If you're in the mood for a cold, creamy treat while visiting the Alamo, you'll find this to be the perfect place to visit.

My husband had the "Cowboy" which was Barq's Root Beer with caramel, marshmallow, and cream. Oh my! Sodamingo also carries some noshy foods. I couldn't resist trying their "famous" jalapeño popcorn. Holy cow, this was amazing. The popcorn was fresh with a slight kick but not real spicy. It also included slices of fried jalapeños that melt in your mouth. It was packaged in-house and comes with a twist tie so you can savor it overtime, but it's hard to not eat the whole bag. I'll continue to go back as much for that popcorn as the soda they're known for. The staff was friendly and helpful, ready to please their patrons. Everything was clean with bright, inviting decor. There seems to be two locations in town and I really hope they'll expand to the Helotes area. I think they'd have a great following there.

We also tried some round candies that tasted like birthday cake. Overall, I would definitely come back but out more thought into what I want to try. I let my eyes tell me what I wanted to try. Lol
