If you find yourself in San Antonio, you might want to check out the shops on Blanco and near Hildebrand. We walked into this gorgeous shop with artist vases and hilarious greeting cards. There is a great assortment of truffles and ice cream treats as well. I'm glad they accept credit cards and cash apps. Parking is limited but there's bus stops nearby. Great places to eat next door as well. read more

BUYER BEWARE! My daughter's small wedding was planned for the weekend after Thanksgiving and in October we selected and paid in full for a top rated florist, No.9. What we didn't expect was the unforseeable - the wedding was called off unexpectedly. Luckily we called the floral shop right away, a week in advance to cancel our order. Angel, the office manager, was nice to work with and said she'd speak to the owner. Four days later she called to say they would credit us with 45% of the total bill paid, for up to a year. Dissapointed, I very nicely and rationally asked for at least 65% credit as I had given ample notice of the cancellation, it being a holiday period I felt a resourceful business could use the materials in other holiday arrangements, there was no explicit "Cancellation Policy" on their business website. I waited for Angel to contact the owner again. No reply. I called back and she said she would try again. Then after almost a month, again no reply. I sent an email and finally the business owner, David Garcia, called back. He maintained the same position because they are a "business" (as if I didn't know) and ultimately offered that I could go by the business and pick up a check for the 45% of the total I paid. So basically, I paid 55% of the total price for no service. Yes I agree, an administrative fee for cancellation is valid BUT 55% of the total? OUCH! That hurt. On top of the fact that the hotel, the musician, the minister, the photographer - none of these charged us a penalty in us facing a heartbreaking situation! This floral shop is a business, yes, but one that is not considerate of customers and the influence they may have in future business. read more

This team performs MAGIC! I have been a huge fan of their work for a long time and follow them on Instagram so when it came time for a bridal bouquet, I knew where I had to go. We did a small intimate wedding due to the current pandemic so all I needed was a small bouquet. This is not your typical florist, they are thinking outside the box and bring a classy, modern look to their work, no baby's-breath here. I gave Angel an idea of what I was looking for, what I liked, and the colors I was leaning toward and let them handle the rest. I was THRILLED with what they came up with. My friends were blown away by the beauty of the design. Even though I shop in that area of town, I had no idea that they had a little storefront with gifts. I read a story on ksat.com in reference to the shop seeking unique puzzles in order to get through the COVID-19 pandemic. The uniqueness of the puzzles drew me in and I immediately ordered 3 puzzles. Two for me and 1 as a gift. I was in love with the picture on the box when they came, but even more so when I dumped out the pieces. The quality of the puzzle pieces was beyond my expectations. The arrangement delivered was not even remotely what was pictured on their website. When contacted them after receiving it, they failed to acknowledge any problems. I see that the business owner has provided a long, somewhat sarcastic response to my review. Their offer to remedy the situation was absurd. They denied that my complaint was legitimate despite the photo I provided of what is clearly a disastrous arrangement. Then, rather than offering to correct their mistake by delivering something similar to the arrangement pictured on their website, they offered a 10% discount off my next order and suggested that I place the order by phone rather than relying on the website. read more

No. 9 handled our wedding flowers for a San Antonio intimate wedding in historic downtown SA. From the moment I met Angel, I knew she would take good care of us. Her vision was in sync with ours, and we were extremely happy with their bouquets and flowers for the ceremony and wedding. Our reception was in the boutique hotel Havana, and she decorated the three chandeliers in such a unique way, with greenery and beautiful white flowers dangling from it. Angel and her staff worked so hard, and was very patient with my many emails and questions. Unfortunately after our wedding, in March of 2020, we were the last event before they had to close temporarily, and we sincerely hope that they can open again soon. Even the entryway to this shop is well designed! You walk in and it smells like an amazing mix of fresh floral and spicy candles. They seem to have curated this place perfectly (for me!). There are candles, unique small planters, large and small succulent plants, locally sourced caramels, fine chocolates, gourmet popcorn and herbal lollipops. I was lucky to get to talk to the owner who let me know that they had been there for a while but as a event florist and catering (rumor has it they do the arrangements for Emma).
