A candy store in the mall. I got a can to fill with a variety of different candies. I wish there were more sour gummy options. The can is reusable and can be brought back to refill for a discount. It also comes with a free magnet and sticker. There's also prepackaged snacks, and chocolate fruit in the display!

This is the store where they host Lollipopazoola every year, and usually there's a Loll in business just before the event, allowing them to set it up. Everyone Pops in here to listen to a few bands and then heads out (like a baby). Really nice candy store in San Antonio at the NorthStar Mall which is very busy, and so you get a lot of people swiping all the chocolates up in here. Wow I sound like a person appropriating Ebonics. Oh wait everyone is doing that now. They have some really cool stuff and even though they are not cheap, who doesn't like sugary stuff. I don't like them as much as it'sugar, but they're little bit more kitschy and small and local-feeling even though they're probably not actually more local.

Was super excited to buy these chocolate covered potato chips. I pointed out to the asst manager that it rang up at $11.95 and she proceeded to tell me it was tax. That at least it's not as high as it is in California. Wt?! I got the receipt and I told her, see it rang up at the $11.95 and the bag is labeled at 10.95. And she said she would have to change the prices on the bags. Not an offer to refund me the $1.00. It's 1 flippin dollar. I don't need the dollar. If I was worried about money I wouldn't be shopping in there. But she was so un phased . It's the principle!

Still so much fun! So many colors. Visited again, same level service. Always like to look @ the discount sections, 50% cheaper!

Today was opening day. I was excited to see this place because the one downtown is rather…read moredisappointing. I have gone to locations on the East Coast as well as California, and those are full scale stores, often multiple stories with ceiling high statues of candy. Although this is merely a booth area, I loved the open air feel. Couple this with the service, I this one more than the one on The River Walk. The employees were very friendly. Aside from a few things not having been priced yet, they were operating efficiently & smoothly for day one. The prices here are admittedly higher than most stores, but I would advise seeing it more as an experience. There is also definitely far more selection and variety than The average candy store. One can always try for very little from the candy in the bins. Quality over quantity. The typical by the lb candy, the section with oversized everything, sushi candy, full sized pizza candy, then my favorite, Plush Yummy World Food! The story behind Yummy World is that they were originally designed by Heidi Kenney (http://www.mypapercrane.com) before being bought by KidRobot. I have loved her art for more than a decade, and only admired her even more after meeting her during a local art festival in her home state, Pennsylvania (the festival was in Philadelphia, she lives in nearby Waynesboro). Anyways, they have many of these plushes there! Adorable. Cheese Balls, Curly Fries, Fruit, and Tacos that last forever. Enough said.
