Build Your Own Salad

I discovered this Italian restaurant while searching on Yelp during our visit to the West End Creamery Fall Festival, which is just five minutes away from the pizza place. It had great reviews, so we decided to give it a try, and it did not disappoint. Everything was fresh, the portions were generous, and both the pizza and calzone were cooked to perfection with a crust that our family loved. Also the salad was well balanced with olive and freshly sliced ingredients. I've already recommended it to a few friends who are planning to visit the West End Creamery Fall Festival next weekend, suggesting they stop by afterward if they're craving some delicious pizza and calzone. We'll definitely be returning whenever we're in town for events!

Fabulous Product Run by two Italian brothers, the pizza is fabulous. Not like pizza you usually get for take out. The crust was done perfectly. They use san marzano tomatoes as the sauce. The toppings choices not the usual you get at other places. Different cheese choices also. I can't say enough how pleasantly surprised we were with our meal. Tip: Get the calzone. Definitely worth a try. You won't regret it. Thanks

Our total for 2 pepperoni pizzas and a beer.

We recently had the pleasure of stopping here for pizza. We went late on a Saturday afternoon and they were busy. They have a small dining area and we got a table for 2, it's pleasant inside and our server was very nice. We picked a pepperoni pizza and we were informed that they only have one size, but that it should be enough (we usually always get a large). My husband ordered a beer and I just got a glass of water (only beer and wine available). Our pizza came fairly quickly and it was delicious, nice thin crust and we love it like that. We hadn't really eaten all day so we devoured it pretty fast, so we had our server order us a second one. We really loved it, although it's a little pricey at $40. for 2 small pizzas, we will go back again because it was awfully good!

The best chips ever!

This place is tucked into a small strip complex next to Market 32 and it was a solid find! The employees were very friendly and the service was fast. Unfortunately it was a little too fast because the ham on my Milano panini was a little cold. Otherwise it was a pretty good sandwich with a good compliment of flavors and just enough sauce to be noticeable without being overwhelming. What was fabulous was the San Carlo lime and pink pepper potato chips. These may very well be the best chips I have ever eaten! Now if they can just make sure the food is warm it will be 5 stars!

Super quick and relatively good! A little soggier than I would have preferred but given the amount of toppings that's probably a given. Some of the best pizza I've had in the area. Super welcoming and friends behind the counter staff as well.

My husband and I have had take out from here but never eaten here in the restaurant before. I am over the MOON with service and the pizza and salad! I am a picky salad person so a bowl of lettuce is what I ordered and the balsamic vinegar! Holy wow!!! I am so enthralled with my experience here!! WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! The wine was yummy too! The atmosphere was cozy and Quaint. Slam dunk! Great job! Lemon cello, dessert is to die for!!! I am so happy we came here! From one Italian to another! Our waitress her name is MYA! She was amazing!!!! buon lavoro ci torneremo!!!!

Mushrooms with truffle oil pizza (forgot the name)

My favorite to go pizza joint! The best Italian pizza by far! Fresh ingredients, the perfect balance of flavor and ratio on sauce, cheese and ingredients on the pizza I have tried at least four different types of pizza there. My favorites are always with mushrooms and truffle! I also love their caprese salad with the flatbread. Excellent service and the owner is super friendly! Definitely support local business especially this wonderful pizza gem!

Friends ordered the salmon and mushroom ravioli and both really enjoyed their meals. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive. Not much to look at from outside nestled in a tight residential neighborhood with limited street parking but complimentary valet service. Going inside of the restaurant ,however, the space is much more upscale and very nice. Prices were what I would expect for an upscale menu of this quality with most entrees between $25 and $40. I look forward to returning!

Mare E Monti - Exceptional Authentic Italian & Seafood Pasta Spot in Worcester, MA…read more Mare E Monti is an exceptional Italian gem -- probably home to the best seafood pasta I've ever had. I was in town ahead of a half marathon near Hampton Beach on Sunday. After a long drive and a surprise call that my extended family was touring the East Coast nearby, we decided to meet halfway -- and Worcester made perfect sense. I booked a table for eight at 8 PM on Saturday. We miscounted our party, which led to about a 45-minute wait, but honestly, that just gave us more time to catch up. The interior strikes a lovely balance -- rustic yet modern, cozy yet romantic, and unmistakably Italian in feel. Starters We kicked off with two plates of Calamari Fritti -- classic native calamari, lightly fried and tossed with cherry peppers and a delicate butter sauce. Absolutely delicious; I had to restrain myself from finishing the whole plate. Complimentary garlic bread with olive oil was also served, and I stopped myself at 2-3 slices to save room for the race-fueling carbs to come. For salad, I chose the Insalata Casalinga -- crisp field greens, grape tomatoes, julienne carrots, cucumbers, red onion, and imported olives in a light vinaigrette. Simple, fresh, and highly recommended. The Main Event The real reason I chose Mare E Monti was simple: carb loading. I went with the Pasta con Cozze e Fagioli -- sautéed mussels in a garlic white wine sauce with diced tomatoes and cannellini beans, tossed with linguine. It was everything I'd hoped for: flavorful yet light, satisfying without being heavy. The mussels were tender, the beans added substance, and the pasta was perfectly cooked. Others at the table tried the Ravioli di Aragosta (lobster ravioli) on my recommendation. I snagged a bite -- and it was heavenly. Rich, delicate, and beautifully balanced. Final Thoughts Dinner here was the perfect pre-race meal -- nourishing without weighing me down. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service attentive, and the food consistently excellent. Even parking was simple; I found easy street parking just around the corner (though valet is also available). Oh, and the next morning? I ran a personal best in my half marathon -- just over 1 hour and 20 minutes. I'd like to think the perfect plate of pasta helped fuel that finish. All in all, Mare E Monti is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine and standout seafood pasta in the Worcester area. I'll absolutely be back next time I'm in Massachusetts. It's a popular spot, and I wanted to dine around 5:30 to 6:00pm on a Saturday. I was able to reserve a table at 5:15pm and we were seated promptly upon our arrival. Our two person waiter team introduced us, brought us water, took our drink order and then shared the specials. The specials sounded tasty, especially the pasta special and steak special. We selected: * (1) Mista Salad with cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, kalamata olives, red onions, candied walnuts, crumbled blue cheese, balsamic vinaigrette, over mixed greens. $15 * (1) Arancini Fried Risotto Balls (4) filled with Smoked Gouda and mozzarella cheese served with tomato sauce. $15 * (2) Pasta Special: Sliced sweet Italian sausage and pulled chicken sautéed with roasted zucchini and summer squash, tossed with fresh rigatoni and spinach in a vodka tomato cream sauce, garnished with shaved ricotta salata. $30 Martini Hendricks: $16 Brunello Laleccaia Wine: $18 Total for dinner with tip: $133 The Mista Salad we shared was tasty, we really enjoyed the zesty dressing. The Arancini was excellent, very light with a satisfying crunch. The Pasta Special was delicious, we loved the Vodka Sauce. Our main critique is that the pasta dish could have used more sausage, and that the courses arrived too close together. The martini was good, and the wine was adequate, I would not get this wine again. It didn't compare to the Austin Hope Cabernet, Paso Robles, 2022 ($17) I had at Via Italian Table for example. Overall, this was a very enjoyable dinner, perhaps a little pricey, but a solid four-stars for this visit.

Our server was great (sorry I've forgotten your name) and offered great suggestions. For starters we had the rolllantini, meatballs and we asked if they would sauté the calamari. My fiancé had the shrimp scampi which she enjoyed, her son had an enormous serving of chicken parm while her dad had the pasta primavera. We had cocktails before dinner and the Rutherford cab with our meals. Desserts were also outstanding with the star of that show being the pistachio gelato. Really first rate. A real gem of a place with a fantastic ambiance. A must try.

We haven't dined here in quite some time, but decided to join some friends to this out of the way…read morerestaurant. It's somewhat in the middle of nowhere, so why was it difficult to get a reservation for Saturday night? Simply said, great food at reasonable prices. Our choices were 4:30 or 6:30, we chose to go early after a two-mile chilly walk along the beautiful Blackstone Canal, just 7 minutes away from the UxLocale. We were seated immediately and our waitress arrived in just moments. We were provided menus, waters and we ordered some drinks which arrived not long after. There were only a few patrons here as the UxLocale opens at 4pm. The menu changes weekly, and our party of four selected: * Warm Pecorino with Truffle Honey Cheese * Tuscan Shrimp Pappardelle * Tomato Carbonara Pappardelle * (2) 1.5" New York Strip Steak * Cannoli for Dessert Let's start with the steaks. In a word, delicious! Both were cooked perfectly medium rare, tender and juicy. Two sides are included, I got the Beet Salad (tasty and nicely dressed) and the potatoes with bacon which were awesome. A co-diner ordered the same dish but got the Caesar salad which he liked very much. We both agreed, a solid 5-star dinner at a reasonable $37 price. The shrimp plate looked beautiful and substantial. The diner loved it and ate every bite. The Tomato Carbonara Pappardelle was also tasty, albeit with strong pepper undertones. If you don't like a lot of pepper, you might try a different dish, or ask if the chefs can cut back on it. That said, I liked it and would be happy to order this. Most of the diners liked the Warm Pecorino with Truffle Honey Cheese Skillet (slices of Pecorino Romano cheese, warmed to a mild melt and drizzled with truffle-infused honey. The salty, sharp cheese and sweet, pungent honey are a classic pairing in Tuscan cuisine. Warmed and served on a cast-iron skillet). I liked it, one diner thought it was too salty, though that is the way it's described above. The dishes are all large, three of us brought home leftovers. We finished by sharing a cannoli dessert, which was excellent, crispy cannoli with a light and tasty filling. An outstanding dinner, with excellent services at a reasonable price (dinner for four with drinks was $209 before tip). A solid 5-stars on this visit. Note that they request tips be left in cash (for all of us who use little if any cash these days). There is a cash machine when you first enter.
