Yummies Drive-Up - Yes, a bite is missing from this gargantuan sandwich!

The Yummies Drive-Up website claims they serve well-portioned, premium-quality sandwiches and…read moredinners at prices "well below affordable." Bold claim. Completely true. Their food truck operates sporadically, typically once a week depending on the season, and the menu is usually limited. That said, everything we've tried has been consistently excellent. Check their website to see where they'll be next. We caught them at the Stanley Woolen Mill parking lot and ordered: Lobster Roll (Original Size) - $20.95 Harvest Turkey Sandwich - $13.75 Mashed Potatoes with Gravy - $2.50 "Call Tag: F Troop" Total with tip: $43.78 Once you place your order, you get a fun retro call tag. Ours was F Troop, while others got classics like The Brady Bunch. The soundtrack? The theme from The Monkees. Nice touch. About 10 minutes later, our order was up. The "original" lobster roll may be their smaller option, but it's still generously sized--served in a classic New England split-top bun and packed with lobster. Fresh, simple, and done right. Then there's the Harvest Turkey Sandwich--labeled "The BIG-ONE" for good reason. It weighs in at well over 1¼ pounds and lives up to the name. It's massive. Adding the mashed potatoes and gravy turned the second half of that sandwich into dinner later on, which worked out perfectly. Bottom line: Yummies Drive-Up is, in fact, very yummy. Tip: To reduce wait time, call or text your order in the morning. Skip the online form--texting is the way to go.

I happened to be in the area right before the matcha truck was opening and decided to check it out…read more There was still about 10-15 minutes before opening, but I already saw a steady line forming. I ordered the cream top matcha with oatmilk. They had new workers so I did have to repeat my order about three times, but no big deal! The drinks were prepared within a reasonable time so I did not have to wait too long. First of all, the color of this matcha is gorgeous. It has been a while since I have been able to obtain a reasonably priced matcha that does not taste disappointing. The oatmilk was not overpowering and paired really well with the matcha. The matcha was smooth but tasted lighter in flavor than I preferred. There is no bitterness or strong vegetable aftertaste which was nice. I enjoyed the cream foam. Considering the price of this matcha, I would definitely swing by when I am in the area again!

I really wanted to love byChae because the branding, presentation, and interior are all beautiful…read more The shop has a clean minimalist aesthetic, and the drinks look incredible. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves did not live up to the hype for us. We ordered the Mango Sticky Rice Matcha and the Strawberry Matcha. The Strawberry Matcha was definitely the better of the two. The strawberry puree tasted fresh and high quality, and it paired well with the milk. My biggest complaint was that the matcha itself was almost nonexistent. My fiancée and I both felt the same way. Compared to many of the specialty matcha shops that have opened around Boston this summer, the matcha flavor here was much too subtle. The Mango Sticky Rice Matcha was especially disappointing. The mango completely overpowered the drink, and I never got the sticky rice flavor or texture that the name suggests. It tasted much more like a mango latte than a matcha inspired version of mango sticky rice. One thing that also concerned me was watching drinks being prepared without gloves while handling ingredients that appeared to go directly into finished drinks. I understand gloves are not required in every situation if utensils or other food safe practices are being used, but as a customer it did make me question the food handling practices. I might be wrong, maybe that's okay with Boston's department of public health. I expected better for a cafe in Newbury. Overall, I can understand why people visit for the aesthetic and social media appeal, but if you are looking for a strong matcha experience, there are quite a few other specialty matcha shops around Greater Boston that I personally think do it better. Three stars because the presentation and atmosphere were excellent, but the drinks themselves left us wanting more. I think the drinks are priced pretty well and I wouldn't hesitate to order another Strawberry Matcha in the future, maybe just ask them to skip the garnish.

The staff was friendly enough to me the day-of, but were indifferent to my husband and the owner was inexcusably rude to my mom when she inquired as to how they planned to rectify the property damage.

So BBQ...super excited, picturing that Southern style BBQ cooking...but unfortuantely they didn't live up to what I was hoping for. First off, super friendly, no complaints there, service was great. Got the pulled pork without the bun and onion rings. Now of course you may think that bc I got it without the bun maybe that was the issue, however, a co-worker got the bun and before even knowing my thoughts said 'this is lacking flavor'. The BBQ sauce was great but the pork itself was lacking any flavor. I know that pork is hard to flavor sometimes, like you have to make it then shred it to let it soak in the flavor, maybe this last step was missed? The onion rings had about an 80% breading to 20% onion ratio, so disappointing. Now I don't want to say this is true for everything they serve, EVERYONE that got the brisket said it was one of the best briskets they have ever had! So if you go, get this because I truly would go again and try the brisket and will update my review if I agree, can only base it on my experience with my order.
