    Two slices of pepperoni pizza
    Dawn S.

The owner was so personable funny. I found this gem through social media where he also has a lot of content you need to watch . Pizza was so good my youngest son got the chop cheese he said it's one of the best he has had. Atmosphere music was great and he greeted everyone who came through the door!

I've been seeing this place on facebook and finally tried it. Don't be turned off by the prices. You get what you pay for. I got a couple of slices of cheese and was impressed. Neko is a cool guy too.

Pretty solid pizza spot, good pricing as well. The pizza has a nice crust, slightly tangy sauce, and good low moisture cheese. The marinara that came with the breadsticks wasn't great, I'll say that. And the only other complaint is that I asked for both things crispy, they were not. Either way. I'll be ordering from here again as it seems to be the only solid pizza spot that isn't in Worcester. Service was great and the inside looked pretty charming too

Small cheese from Neko's. Looked so good, I had to eat a slice before taking the pic!

Almost every item in the store-- from meats to cheeses to drinks to candies and snacks-- is imported from Italy and you can taste the difference. This ain't your daddy's Boar's Head. -- Tutto: Tried on focaccia, with Mortadella, Soppressata, Capicola, Prosciutto, Provolone, Stracciatella Cheese, Tomatoes, Onions, Pickles, Hot Cherry Peppers, and Garden Greens. Very creamy cheese, almost mayoey in texture. It took some adjustment on my first try, but I got used to it quickly. Strong flavors overall. Very enjoyable. -- Matto: Tried (on two different visits) on a grilled seeded roll, this packed Prosciutto, Soppressata, Sharp Provolone, and Hot Cherry Peppers. There was no valet service, and the parking lot was already full, but we found a street parking spot very close to the restaurant. We were seated immediately at a window table overlooking the pond, one of Alicante's nicest features. We've dined here many times over the years, although our last visit was disappointing due to sluggish service. Fortunately, this evening proved to be a return to form. Ice water, wine, and warm bread arrived almost immediately as our attentive three-person service team got us settled. While the evening specials were tempting, we opted for two longtime favorites from the regular menu: Piccata di Pollo - $27 Shrimp Scampi - $29 Total with wine and tax: $84.53 Our entrées arrived promptly, hot, and beautifully prepared. The chicken piccata was exceptionally tender, complemented by a bright, flavorful lemon-butter sauce. The shrimp scampi featured perfectly cooked shrimp in a classic butter and garlic sauce that was well-balanced and not over-seasoned. As always, the portions were generous--enough that some of the chicken accompanied us home. After one less-than-memorable visit, it was nice to see Alicante back at the top of its game. Excellent food, attentive service, and a beautiful setting make this a restaurant we look forward to visiting again. Tip: Even though Alicante is on Route 16, you can park along the road. Be careful exiting the driver side, it's a very busy road.

Music= 5 stars, venue= 4 stars, food= 1 star, drinks= 4 stars, service= 2 stars, location= 1star…read more We've been here several times specifically to hear bands. It is located in the 'hood...feels sketchy just parking and walking in, even with the street lights on. Something about the trash blowing like tumbleweeds while police sirens blare in the background along with the quiet bump of hip hop just makes it feel so poetically grimy. Inside also feels grimy, which I guess is what some look for in a dive bar. (I personally differentiate "seedy and understated" from "grimy to the point of giving me the heebie jeebies".) There is dusty taxidermy all over the walls, some of which are wearing outfits- funny, I suppose, but just makes me feel uncomfortable to think of the globs of dust flying off into my drink or food. But before I ever noticed this, we had ordered a couple beers and a cheese plate. The beers came quickly, but the keg was definitely tapped- tasted flat. On other occasions we have had a decent mixed drink- the coca cola tastes normal and the ice to drink and liquor to mixer ratio is normal. The cheese plate- why they described this as a cheese plate is beyond me. It was one type of cheese- cheddar I think, with saltines still in the sleeve with a soup cup full of spicy Chinese mustard; some regular white onion slices were also piled sadly on the side. Pretty hilarious in all honesty! On another, busier night we were there and sat outside, which is pretty chill. Except that the staff rarely comes to clear old drinks so some tables are filled with empty glasses, making it so that no one can sit there. When you need a refill, you have to go back inside and shoulder your way through at the bar, which will have just 2 bartenders when they're slammed, one time (of the half dozen times we've been) I saw a bar back behind the bar helping. Needless to say, it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get a drink at the bar on a busy night. The crowd is definitely mostly white (every time we have been, at least), which could be considered odd? The music is always either honky tonk, old people jazz, or folk music, and the musicians are always white. Overall, a fun place to hear live music (especially if you're white) and get a drink. Would not recommend for an extended stay or to get food.
