The boss ordered pizza for us on my suggestion from ordering from Pizzeria Aroma. With different people wanted different things we settled on a thin crust pepperoni and chicken Alfredo pizza. I'm always nervous recommending places that I love, but my co-workers hasn't tried. We ordered online to avoid those pesky food apps charges. Plus they have their own drivers. The driver that dropped off our order was friendly. The pizza arrived and everything smelled great. As my co-workers started to eat they really loved the crust and flavor. The chicken Alfredo pizza was a big surprise, to my tomato hating co-worker. He loved that the spinach and broccoli was cooked well. This might be our new spot for ordering staff lunches. read more

For some odd reason I couldn't log into my account so I had my friend Dawn look into it and here I am. Pizzeria Aroma is and awesome restaurant to visit in person or order for delivery their Pizza is so yummy and the delivery service is great. I ordered this past weekend directly to the restaurant and it was delivered quickly. The salad i ordered was great and the pizza delicious. Still hanging tough in Edgewater! Popped into here the other night. Uncharacteristically sat in the back dining room, and the pace was POPPING. Jim, the owner, working hard as usual, was bustling around the dining room, checking on patrons, delivering dishes, replenishing drinks. We had sandwiches on this night. I had the Cuban Torta. Very good! I'm partial to any sandwich that has pickles. This one was true to what a Cuban sando is - pork, pickles, etc. - recommended! It was enough for two meals, I happily ate the other half the next day. I got a simple side salad with my meal. Something so simple, but so great. First of all, the lettuce and vegs are fresh. I mean FRESH. The vinegarette . . . it is perfection. The proportions were exactly right - I'm someone who LOVES vinegarette, and this was fantastic. Okay, I sneakily DRANK the rest of the dressing once I was done with my salad. I could have put it on my sandwich, hmm, great idea. But I drank it, and I'd do it again. It was that good. My BF had the meatball sandwich, and WOW. Wow. It looked good, and a small bite that I grabbed confirmed that it was fantastic. It was pretty standard meatball sandwich, except it had giardiniera on it - extra tanginess! The size was massive - four juicy meatballs. I'll go back for this one! Every night you go in, there are going to be specials. Drink specials as well as food specials! We had Old Fashioneds on this night, and they were extremely tasty. Pizzeria Aroma is a solid staple in the community. I've ordered from Pizzeria Aroma a handful of times and I haven't been disappointed with the pasta or calzone. They offer daily drink specials and monthly specials if you check online. I've only been able to visit in-person a few times and they always have ample seating. The restaurant is spacious inside and the staff was friendly. Pizzeria Aroma is my go-to place for calzones! I've been on a hunt for a solid calzone since my days in New York. They sell a monster calzone with 4 ingredients before they start to charge for additional ingredients. I love that they don't hold back on the amount of ingredients you get. You can easily get three to four servings from the calzone. It is a great bang for your buck! The pasta dishes are large and jam packed with ingredients similar to the calzone. The fettuccine alfredo with broccoli is delicious! I've easily gotten several meals from the pasta dishes. Another great pasta dish is the chicken parmigiana. We've been to this restaurant multiple times. Sometimes with a party of 2. Other times with a much larger group. We have never had a dish that we weren't 100% satisfied with. Ravioli, fettucinni alfredo, athena chicken, spartan pork chops and pizza for the kids. The service is great. Atmosphere is intimate yet friendly. The owner greets us as if he's known us for years! The food is decent. Doesn't always feel like a homemade soup. There's lots of broth, very little ingredients like vegetables, meat, or pasta. I ask for crackers to supplement the density. The pizza is decent. Pasta sizes are enormous. I've been coming here for over 7 years. Most recently the greeter/server/phone person has been very abrupt and unwelcoming. My prior two visits, I promised myself never to come back. But my guest enjoy the food price. Yesterday was the last straw. I called to ask their soup selection, he gave into me, and hung up. As a gluten-free family, we're used to making compromises--but not here. We ordered three different gluten-free pizzas and every one was fantastic. I had a 10" gluten-free pizza, my wife ordered a 10" with cheese, sausage, and veggies, and we brought home a medium cheese and sausage for the kids. Each pizza had that perfect balance of crispy crust, quality ingredients, and flavorful sauce. Dessert was a treat: a flourless chocolate cake made by a local bakery. Is this the best overall restaurant on the North Side? It might be! I'm sitting here eating leftover cold pizza for breakfast and thinking about how no crust should be this buttery and tasty as a cold leftover. But this is awesome pizza. Our go-to orders are Margherita, Veggie Pesto, and a combo of ham, pineapple and black olive. Thin crust is just a tiny bit more substantial than a cracker crust, and it's absolutely delicious. If you want high-end pizza or a basic pie, they cover all the bases really well. Pasta, entrees, salads, and sandwiches have all been excellent. Great burgers with a variety of toppings too. So this is a terrific place to go when you have a bunch of people who all want something different. (Kind of reminds me of what Leona's used to be like back before they sold it off and it got horrible.) Delivery or pick-up never a hassle and always on time. We've been going since they had that humble little storefront by the Berwyn stop. The full restaurant is such an improvement and makes a perfect weeknight, low-key date spot. Nice decor, but you can still feel relaxed in a hoodie. Parking in the bank lot next door in the evenings. Big plus. Good wine options and a full bar with very capable bartending. The owner could not be nicer. I used to order for someone in a nursing home every Friday, and they took the order before opening at times to accommodate her. Even memorized her usual order. When she passed, their catering for a memorial event was a huge hit. They were very easy to work with on it. While it's great to try new places, there are a few places that I return to again and again because they're just that good. We got their Aroma special pizza and added sausage, olives, spinach and tomatoes. OMG! Thee best pizza ever! I tend to eat with my eyes first and presentation is always an A+ with them. Pizzeria Aroma -- try the pizza and try everything else! Usually my partner and I order the thin crust cheese pizza, which is very delicious, but have recently tried other meals via takeout. This week, we ordered the 1/2 broiled lemon and herb chicken with a side salad over the phone. It was ready for pick-up in 15 minutes. It came with garlic bread and coleslaw, too. All for $12. We also ordered a side pasta -- angel hair with meat sauce. The chicken is perfectly tart, fall off the bone, and portioned well for two. The salad is also hearty. We both felt that the pasta while OK, and not our personal favorite, was a little bit too much food combined with the rest of our order for the both of us, so we saved it for lunch the next day. The chicken was so good that we ordered it again a few nights later when we had a busy night and were both too tired to cook. It was just as good as the first time. We're big fans! read more
