Pizza is definitely fresh without much salt or preservatives but otherwise unremarkable. Vegetable toppings were basically raw. The crust was average and was slightly burnt but I realized afterwards that my friend had asked for it crispy which may have explained this. Based on the pizza my rating may have actually been a 2 but there was some great service which bumped it up. During our meal, my friend's dad catapulted one of our pizzas onto the ground while trying to move the table. It was a bit of a disaster area. The guy working at the counter came over quickly and cleaned it up off the floor. Later, as we mourned the death of the pizza, he brought us out a fresh one without us even asking. I witnessed that pizza fulfill a circle of life complete with reincarnation. It was great of him to replace it with no question and I respect a place that takes care of its customers. read more

I stopped in here totally cold (i.e., didn't check on Yelp first) last weekend and got a quick pizza to go before watching my nephew's volleyball game at L.B. State. I really did not expect much, but I was really surprised. The pizza is GOOD! For me, pizza is all about the crust, and this one is good. Very crunchy bottom layer, with that just perfectly cooked upper layer that's soft but still well cooked. I got mushroom and onions on mine. The mushrooms were fresh, and they put just the right amount on. Good cheese and sauce too. So overall I would have to say one of the better pizzas I've had in California. I enjoyed the pizza I had here. Im a fan of a good amount of sauce on my pizza and they had the perfect proportion of it. I ordered a pepperoni and bell pepper pizza. The pizza is actually pretty good, they really know how to pile on the extra pepperoni and cheese:) And their prices are awesome. The pizza here at Pizzamania has that made from scratch taste. The dough is fuller ingredients fresher and overall less greasy. I work on the other side of the campus but I can tell you it is worth the walk. My goto has been the 1/2 sandwich lunch special. Fo $7.01, you get a 1/2 sandwich, a bowl for one trip to the salad bar and a cup to help yourself to a drink. Right there, its a better deal than Subway on campus. The salad bar has your standard veggies, minus onions. They also have fake bacon bits and macaroni salad. The surprise is that the salad bar has pepperoni and the cheese they use on the pizzas. You can sort of make yourself a ghetto antipasto salad with that. Drink has your usual selection of sodas and iced tea. What is the star is the sandwich. I got the Italian sub for my half. Unlike Subway, they don't cut a footlong in half. The serve it on a bun that is half the size of a normal buns. The meat that they use is very thick and it overflows the sub. Salami, pepperoni, ham and mortadella. Thick slice of cheese and Italian dressing and some mayo. You won't find as many veggies as Subway but who cares? It has the usual lettuce, tomatoes,onions and some wonderful pickles. Not the pickles you would get at 7-11 or Subway, but some nice deli pickle slices. Smash that bad boy down and take your first bite of heaven. Its hearty, tangy and immensely satisfying. I sprinkle some of their Parmesan cheese and chili peppers and put a pepperoncini in each bite( you can get some at the salad bar). All for 7 bucks!. They take credit cards too! read more

This isn't the best pizza I've vet had, but the best I had while in SoCal. As for the customer service remarks, I actually prefer the lack thereof in this kind of establishment. My only complaint really has more to do with the parking lot. There were only 2 handicap spots and both of them were marked for 7-11 customers only. We parked there and took a chance anyway because the other spots didn't allow enough room for my boyfriend to get out. read more

Average food, below average service. I ordered a veggie personal pizza and they brought me out cheese. No biggie, but we also were the only customers there at the moment. They just took the cheese pizza and threw veggies on top...so since it wasn't melted into the cheese, all the veggies fell off when I tried to eat it. The service was fast and quick. They're not the friendliest lot but they weren't necessarily rude. Before I knew it the guy dropped off the pizza at our table. It was FULL of toppings. They weren't skimping but I do wish the toppings were spread more evenly. There weren't any toppings starting from an inch from the crust and the crust itself was close to an inch. I just had to scoot my toppings around... something minor but definitely don't appreciate. The cheese was melty and had the trail when you take a slice. That's awesome. The cheese wasn't my favorite... it had an odd texture to it. It may have been more oil based. If I'm ever craving pizza in the area I might stop by for a pepperoni pizza as I've read good things on yelp... but other than that, I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

I am familiar with Pizzamania in Whittier and when I moved to Long Beach I was excited that their was a Pizzamania here because I loved that place. The first time I called I was placed on hold for so long that I hung up. I decided to give it another shot and purchased a large pepperoni, mushroom, jalepeno and onion pizza. The place loaded it with toppings which is a plus! BUT. The workers need to work on their phone skills. They were quick and rude and didn't give me a total. The same service skills were forwarded at the counter. The pizza was cold, tasted under cooked and there was hardly any sauce on the pizza. I was disappointed. Great pizza.. We ordered the supreme for delivery, but terrible terrible ordering experience. Not sure how the breakdown happened but initially could not get through, then when we did they hung up on us halfway through the ordering. Our final call worked out but not with out multiple mishaps and frustrations. They really need to improve on their phone and communication skills. Pizza arrived fairly fast but Luke warm to hot.
