Charming funky little Italian restaurant. Fantastic food and wonderful staff. A tasty and fun experience. Highly recommend!

Margarita pizza

Best pizza I've ever had! This place was such a gem; wanted to go to pizzateca due to the reviews on Yelp originally but it was closed so we came here and holy shit this place is so much better! (See my review for pizzateca) We ordered wine (of course) and a margarita pizza. The dough and crust was the greatest thing ever! Super friendly service from the waitresses and overall just a great experience. Could not recommend enough, please check it out!!

This is by far the best pizza I have had, amazing!! My girlfriend also had pasta and it was just really good. Would 100% recommend.

Siciliana

Needed to grab some food and drinks prior to a game, so we stepped in for an early dinner at Pizzaiolo. Of course, given the hour, we were the only people in the restaurant. Didn't matter. Server was attentive and great to us. Ambiance is a little italian pizzeria, so its informal. Glasses of red wine. Perfect. Siciliana Pizza-I have been craving this salty goodness; olives, capers anchiovies. Does it compare to Italy? No. But did it meet my salty craving? Yes. We were ready for our hike to the game, so mission accomplished.

Spinach Ravioli

Food was amazing! A friend and I stumbled upon this place near where we were staying and it did not disappoint. The service was amazing, our waiter recommended us dishes based on taste and appetite and we listened. Both the ravioli and tortellini were great. The restaurant is small but has options for high tables and low ones with beautiful italian inspired decorations.

Lasagna and pizza diavola, delicious!

This place was amazing and the staff are so nice! Every time people walked in they greeted them, it was so warm and inviting, sad we are leaving Madrid before we can try the rest of the menu. We ordered the carpaccio and it was refreshing , flavorful and delicious! For our meals we ordered lasagna and the pizza diavola. Everything was made fresh. A LOT of food for very good prices. Super cute inside, clean restaurant and bathroom. You must give it a try!

Pizza Etna

This place is very near our Airbnb. We walked by at around 9:30pm and lucked into a table for two. The restaurant was very busy with guests dining in, take out orders and a squad of bicycle delivery guys waiting to pickup orders. We enjoyed the caponata which is served in a pizza dough bowl. It is a large portion and very delicious. Then we shared a pizza Etna - ham, spicy salami and arugula. Service was good considering the packed restaurant. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a little break from the areas delicious tapas!

mushroom pizza

cannot remember the name of the pizza we got, but it was SO GOODDDD. def hit the spot after a long day. we also got a ravioli pasta which was also very yum. the staff was AWESOME, made sure that none of the food we wanted to order had pork in it (we don't eat pork) and was overall very friendly! vibe of the place was v cozy and intimate def come hereee

A little walk off the Grand Via but worth it!! We went based on other reviews & would go back again! Antonio was so fun, the food was amazing & it was not touristy!! Lots of food for 3 hungry teens, cold beer & a nice glass of wine for the parents. (Don't miss the Nutella pizza for dessert!)

The food here is Wow! Friendly and attentive staff. We tried a pizza and burrata salad and enjoyed it so much we came back again a few nights later. That visit we tried a baked pasta dish that was also amazing and flavorful. Since we didn't care for tapas, this was wonderful to find quality Italian food, which we prefer.

Special pizza with chorizo and ham

Looking for a good "Italian" place down in Madrid? Well Pizzaiolo is a great place for that. This place was a nice change from all the tapas I've been having during my vacation to Spain. The place itself is not very big but once you enter, you do have that feeling that you have been transported to Italy. The ambiance casual is very nice, with the servers were very accommodating to an English speaking party of 4 people. We got there at around 11:30pm and maybe wait around 10-15 minutes. It was not too bad. Once inside we ordered one of the Italian wines they had, which was very good and then had the specialty pizza with slices of chorizo and ham. The slices of chorizo looked like they were slices of pepperoni on the pizza. The pizza itself was good, has it definitely had a true Italian style to it, with its thin crust and baked in a brick oven. In addition, like I mentioned before, this is a nice change from the massive amounts of tapas I was eating in Madrid at the time, so this meal did satisfy me. For dessert, I got this hugeeee canoli, which I would definitely recommend to get for all you people with a sweet tooth. This place looks like it gets crowded at the peak of dinner (10-11pm), so be ready for a little wait when needed. It did look like many locals congregate here, so that shows how much people are the area appreciate what Pizzaiolo has to offer.

Pizza with tomato, ham, zucchini and spicy oil ALSO red tomato pasta with pesto and burrata

Really friendly staff and the owner very excited to promote the specials of the day which were delicious.

The hostess was kind enough to have us wait only 5 minutes and then place us in a table for two with an added chair to accommodate us. The service was very friendly. We received bread and olives on the house as we sat down. We ordered the pasta with salmon and vodka sauce so yummy, the lasagna and the tortelloni pasta filled with pumpkin. All the dishes were very good and we also ordered a bottle of wine. At the end for dessert we ordered a tiramisu and a cheesecake which were so so creamy and delicious. Once again at the end they gave us some limoncello on the house. Overall a very nice dining experience we will definitely be back!

The restaurant is very pretty and the staff is welcoming. We arrived before our reservation and were seated. We had a party of 9 and they were able to give good service despite the large party size. We had some pizza for an appetizer and I had lasagna and my husband had spaghetti bologense . This is the first restaurant that didn't over salt the food and everything came out hot!! The bar serves wine and aperol spritz only so no cocktails to sip here. We did receive some limoncello at the end of the meal which was perfectly chilled. I would recommend this lovely spot in Madrid!

Quick note before the review: This is not the same restaurant it used to be some years ago. Old…read more5-star reviews were well deserved by that time. The food's quality was terrible: - The pizza ingredients were very low quality and not well distributed. - We ordered a simple margherita and it didnt even contain basil leaves. - We ordered a different pizza with egg and bacon: it was also really bad. - Even the balsamic vinegar was bad. (They only had once of these thick vinegar bottles, and the cap was all dirty) - the focaccia was the worst: It has a thick section that was half baked, and the rest of it looked like a thin crispy bread/cookie For the staff: - The staff tried to avoid adding the discount from the reservation. After complaining, they fixed it, but you shouldn't need to complain to prevent being charged extra. - The staff was a bit lost on what was their menu. - They were polite at least The restaurant: - This used to be a different restaurant, one of the best pizza places in Madrid. About aprox. 2 years ago, the owner sold the restaurant and a different one was put in place of it. However, they decided to keep the name of the restaurants as well as all the excellent reviews it had in apps like yelp and trip advisor. While it could be a bit unfair to compare, as it is a completely different restaurant, in which only the name of it remained, the restaurant now has cheaper prices than the original one from years ago, but the ingredients are even cheaper, so in reality, the quality to prize ratio got a massive negative impact.

The restaurant is on a nice small street, so while wandering the area we just happened to stumble upon it on our first day in Madrid. When I saw that it was authentic pasta, I figured it would be great to give it a try, and I'm so glad that we did. We went on a Sunday, the same day as El Rastro, huge weekly flea market in the La Latina neighborhood. The streets were packed and so was Nina. However, we snagged a large community table in the back. One important tip about going on Sunday- they have a limited menu due to the amount of people coming because of El Rastro. The menu offers 2-3 tapas, and only 2 lunch options. But don't worry because both options are AMAZING. Their carbonara and Gnocci are to die for! We also had tinto de Verano to drink (sangria) that was also really yummy. We loved this place so much that on our last full day we had to return for one more meal! We went on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch, perfect time because it wasn't crowded and they also had their full menu available. We were happy to be greeted by the same lovely servers who remembered us from Sunday. My fiancé went with the carbonara again and I tried one of their daily specials, and OMG I am so glad so did. They offered a pappardelle black truffle and parmesan pasta and it was life changing to say the least. I spent time thinking about how I can bring some back to the US. I also tried to savor each bite by eating very slowly lol. During that meal we also had the gnocchi bravas, their take on the classic patatas bravas. That also was amazing, and a nice change since we'd been eating the traditional bravos all week. Please, please, please if you're in Madrid stop by Ninas Pasta Bar for lunch. You will not regret it and you probably will think about the pasta for the rest of your trip, like I did!!
