We've ordered takeout from Pizza World twice and only have good things to say. The staff have been very friendly when we picked it up. The salads are huge and delicious. We've tried the Taste of Chicago, Philly, and Via Bianco pizzas, which are all very different styles but quite good. The sandwiches are ideal for those of us who like slightly crunchy bread, so my husband said the Philly pizza is better than the sandwich. (I preferred the sandwich.) Been ordering from this same Pizza World for the past 20 years, and even as their quality can waiver a bit from time to time I've remained loyal; until now. About a year ago I placed an order for delivery only to be told that I was no longer in their delivery range (even though I am). After some discussion they decided to make an exception for me but I just didn't have a very good feeling about the way they went about it and decided to give up on them completely. Fast forward to a few months ago and I had guests that asked for Pizza World. So we used a different phone than mine to phone it in and we went to pick it up. We got lucky and everything went well. So 2-weeks-ago I ordered from my phone (they know who I am from the caller ID and have notes about past experiences). I picked up the pizza this time instead of using delivery but when I got the pizza home it was completely inedible! From the first bite my wife and I became sick. It was like biting into a salt-lick! Without a doubt it was the worst pizza I've ever tasted. We immediately threw the whole thing away. I tried contacting the store about it several times and when I received no answers from them I tried contacting their corporate headquarters several times yet not a single person ever reached out to me. I'm DONE! Unless you enjoy spending your money on something that'll just make you sick feel free to order from them. I order from here all the time never had an issue. I placed my order at 4p received an email that it will be ready at approximately 615p. My husband gets there to food that was ready at 4p. The so called manager/owner says not his problem as I'm telling him I have a confirmation email for the order stating it will be ready at 615p but didn't get an email stating it was ready. This is BS did not try to help the situation but hung up on md. How do you send customers away with cold food that was ready for 2 hours. I wish I could attach the email. Yum x100. New to the are and tried to find pizza we'd never had before and this didn't disappoint. Tasty speciality pizza that is reasonable and super close to home. Ordered a chicken, bacon, ranch and BBQ chicken pizza. Both were super delicious. I opted to pick up the pizza since it was so close to our home and delivery would have taken at least an hour they said. Other than the extended delivery time, we were really pleased! If I could give zero stars I would. My husband and I ordered a pizza and a Italian sub from the restaurant tonight and asked for no onions. The worker confirmed no onions and the receipt said no onions. Upon paying for our food and receiving my delivery my sub was completely covered in onions. This may not seem like a big deal to some but I truly cannot eat onions. I called the store to ask for a refund and was rudely talked to by one of the "partners". The partner John stated that he could not refund me and could not replace the food today but could credit us for a later date. I asked that I get a refund due to probably not eating there again and he stated "I don't understand why you can't scrape off the onions I'm sure it's not that much". I asked if he was the manager and he stated he is a partner. I said that was extremely rude for him to say and very bad customer service...he hung up. My husband called back and also asked for a refund and asked why he hung up on me (his wife) and stated how he did not think this was good customer service or that hanging up on a customer should not be the solution. John (the partner) stated and I quote "well how about this, I hang up on you". And so John hung up the phone and we have now paid for food we cannot eat. read more

I actually liked the combinations of pizzas they have. It's not just a run of the mill "pizza hut". I actually don't feel grease traps on my hips the following day. It is however a little pricier than your normal chain pizza. I'd rather eat here to change it up a little now and then. read more

This rating is mostly due to the service. Called and placed order at 7:20 on a Monday night, was told it would be an hour for delivery. At 8:45 I called to check on the status and was told the driver would be here in 2 seconds, he was almost here. At 9:05 our $48 worth of food arrived cold while we were on the phone, yet again, with the store; this time being told the driver was on his way back to the store. This wouldn't have been nearly as frustrating if we hadn't been misinformed at all three points of contact. We've been burned by this location before with missing items and slow delivery; their menu is currently in the trash, where it belongs. read more

Most expensive pizza i've had in a long time. The pizza was not that great, i read reviews so thought i would try it. Their wings are disgusting, i had a wing craze the night i ordered from here and they tasted way over done and seemed like they were just dipped in a watery sauce. I do not recommend them at all! There pizza is soggy in the middle, their crust though is decent (the outside of the pizzas) i would have to say i will never order from them again. It was $27 for 6 wings and a medium pizza. Manager would not give refund and hung up phone on my wife. Called back and politely asked why and I quote said "how about I hang up the phone on you" and did so. It's been nearly 7 months since my very bad experience at the Belleville Pizza World, but I thought I would provide an update. I saw the message from Lisa below my review. I called yesterday to speak with her, but was informed that she no longer worked there. I spoke with Bruce, one of the new managers, and he informed me that all of the former staff no longer worked there and that the business was under new ownership and new management. I said I was willing to give them a second chance after everything I heard. Tonight, I placed an order for our family favorite - the Appondonza. Flat out - this is the best pizza in town!!! My family and I loved every bit of it and I was very pleased with the professionalism and courtesy of Bruce and his team. I even met the new owner who thanked me for my loyal patronage. I told them it was great to be back and I was happy to put the "blip on the radar" from the past behind us. Thank you to all for making things right and continuing to make great pizza! Solid choice for pizza. Homemade crust and generous with cheese. A minor complaint is that the dough seemed a bit undercooked-but that may be a personal preference issue. Same with the spices. A bit bland and we ordered fresh garlic which was near absent. Delivery was on time and the pizza was hot. Would order again, if back in town. read more

Not only is the food crazy good, the staff are personable and friendly. The delivery folk are very on time, courteous and kind. Did I mention how great the food is? As a salad monster, I recommend them from this place. My personal fave is the Greek Salad. It is dense with great greens and all the veggies one could imagine. Decided to try another pizza place on the quest to find Good local pizza. Apparently we live just outside of Pizza World's delivery zone.. The pizza was ok, nothing to brag about. The guy that was working there when we went to pick it up was a well mannered and pleasant. The Food prep area was definitely clean I did not spend the night wondering what ELSE was on my pizza! I gave three stars for this reason. I have had some really good pizzas from places where there is no telling when the last time the place was cleaned. (Maybe this adds to the flavor!) however I like the peace of mind knwing my food had been prepared in a clean area.. Overpriced, and you would think they would appreciate customers. Ordered online 4/21/20, went 30 minutes later to pick up, place is locked. As I was standing there, car pulls up and a couple come out. Guy says he owns the joint, why was I there. Explained I ordered and paid for a pizza, guy says he had to leave for ten minutes to get his wife. The lady then proceeds to start screaming at me, on the front walkway, that I shouldn't order if they aren't there. That customers are so stupid, that pizza will come out when she's ready to make them, and I should just sit in my car while she decided if she wanted to today. The guy was very apologetic, but said he was gone 10 minutes. I ordered the pizza 30 minutes before, so he left an order on the printer while he shut his store down. Got refunded, and left. He did this to another person who walked up right as I was leaving. I emailed the corporate, but they feel they apparently don't need to address customers either. NEVER go to this place. I had a bad experience tonight. I called in a order for 2 specialty pizzas and some wings. My daughter and grandson wanted cheeses and bacon so that is what I ordered for my second specialty. The young lady was very nice on the phone. She said the hamburger minus the burger would leave cheese and bacon. I said great. I drove to Pizza World and paid $40 (36+tip) then I rushed home to my hungry family. They each took a bite and were grossed out saying it tasted like mustard. They could not eat it and begged me to try it. I did and sure enough it did taste like mustard. My daughter asked if I would call Pizza World to see if they had made a mistake. The girl who answered listened and then passed me to Bruce. I explained my question and Bruce said he was standing by the girl who took my order and he said she told me there was mustard on the pizza. I would have never ordered a pizza with mustard and no sauce. Bruce said what do you want me to do? I said my family cannot eat it. Bruce said I am not remaking it for you. So I hung up. The pizza went into the trash after we ordered a bacon and cheese pizza, with normal pizza sauce, from Pizza Hut. Then another 20 minute wait, drive to pick up. I hate to waste money. My family had to wait so long to eat. My 8 year old grandson was so sleepy by the time his 2nd pizza arrived. So shocked and disappointed. My Supreme (or whatever it was called) pizza and my wings were excellent. We won't be eating there again after this. read more

What started off as a nice gesture turned out to be a complete disaster. So I placed an order for myself and 4 co workers, which seems like no big deal until it was time to pay. Initially I spoke with Shane, and I explained that I had 5 orders and 3 were paying with a credit card. He seemed to understand and proceed to take the order, however we only got through the first order which was toasted ravioli and then he says hold on. So, I'm patiently holding then Johnny comes on the line to complete the orders. So after all orders have been placed I asked was he ready for the credit cards and he replies he can only take one. I then explain that I told Shane we had three credit cards and Johnny's response was it would all have to go on one card and everyone pay that person back. I said no one wants $64.88 billed on their card when we each have our own money to pay and it shouldn't be this complicated. He insisted that he didn't have a way for us to pay separately, so I said well I'll come and pick it up. Upon my arrival he states he still can't separate the orders and it would have to paid on one card and by now I'm in udder disbelief. Here we are in 2018 damn near 2019 and you can't split tender and order. So he calls someone on the phone who was of no assistance only made the situation worst by saying the orders have to be paid for on one card. I told him I just want a refund because this a complete waste of time and we will never order from them again. He offered no apology or alternative of solution considering the inconvenience. Reluctantly, he gives me a refund. I return to the office and receive a call from Khalid Shah who identified himself as the owner, he started the conversation with an apology but then it went right off the cliff from there. He acknowledges that my company orders from the frequently but if we're going to pay with more than one card to hang up and call back for each order.
