They have specials Monday-Friday and all of their menu options look delicious...especially Fridays Chicken Pot Pie special that comes with 1 side! I ordered 2 personal pan pizzas. One The Works and one sausage and pepperoni ($21+). The Works was sooo cheesy and the olives were whole, it brought a delightful saltiness to the pizza. There wasn't an abundance of sauce, which is my preference. The ingredients were so FRESH--every topping stood out. I can't wait to go back and try more! The staff were friendly and helped me with my order and the restaurant was clean. There are plenty of areas to sit for dine in or just waiting on your order. Stopped by Pizza Wing King tonight and have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Third best pizza I've had in the Triad. Very, very solid slice. The sauce is fantastic and the cheese compliments very well. Crust is really floppy but I still enjoyed it. Would definitely go back for a slice. A dozen chicken wings came free with my pizza. I thought sure, give me buffalo. I'm here to tell you that the wings were dynamic!! I can confidently say they are the best wings in the Piedmont Triad. Was not expecting to find such a wing gem. This is the fourth restaurant at this location in the past 7 years that I can think of. By far it is the one that has the best potential to make it. First the menu is extensive for a small place. They seem to cater to a wide range of palates. So far I've had a chicken sandwich, a wrap, the personal pizza & 3 wing combo, a burger, a grilled chicken salad... I have not been disappointed with any meal. Besides the food, which is of the utmost importance, the staff has been nothing but friendly each and every visit. The waitresses are all very friendly, and when i told one it was my first time she took the time to explain some items I was not sure about and make some recommendations based on what I was in the mood for. I ultimately decided to go for Pizza and Wings... because... Pizza Wing King, yo. The pizza was good, not amazing, but good. I ate my whole personal pie. The wings, which I took in hot honey bbq with ranch, were actually really good. Good size wings as well, plenty of meat on the bones. To top it off, the sweet tea is on point. Absolutely love this place! We eat here at least once a week maybe more. Great courteous staff. A menu with tons of variety from pizza to souvlaki from burgers to calabash shrimp. Doesn't serve beer. Didn't eat there. It was actually a rather rude experience from the waitresses that were at the front. Walked in asked if they served beer, the one lady laughed and said "ma'am this is a family restaurant we don't serve beer" I said okay that's fine! And walked out. As I was walking out the woman who answered me along with her clan of girls behind her all start giggling and making side bar comments, one girl said "like seriously, who would ask that?". My wife introduced me to this restaurant and it has become a favorite instantly! The people that run it have a history of experience in the restaurant business. If you have ever eaten at Christo's in Salisbury, NC, another favorite of mine, these people are from that family. The food is excellent, as well as the variety offered. Incredible wings, great pizza, burgers, salads, mediterran fare, some of the best meal loaf I have eaten! My Mother-in-Law loved the Carolina burger and commented that the slaw was as good as hers (and her slaw is outstanding)! Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. Good service, clean facilities. I inquired if they would also be carrying the wonderful cherry cheese strudel and the napoleons that Christo's of Salisbury has and they said it was planned to be on the menu later. We visited Pizza Wing King for lunch today and were surprised by the large menu and choice of food options. Luckily they also had a lunch menu. The prices for lunch were very reasonable and the portions generous. I think it was around $5 for a small pizza with three toppings, a side (choices were soup, salad, 3 wings, or 3 tenders, and a drink! Our waitress informed us that everything was made in house with only the freshest of ingredients from the salad dressing, wing sauces, soups, to the pizza crust. There were three of us and we all chose the pizza lunch special, each of us having a different side. The side salad was large and it came in a big bowl so it was easy to eat. The soup of the day was potato and it got thumbs up. I had the chicken wings because after all it is the Pizza Wing King so I had to try the pizza and wings! The garlic Parmesan wings were meaty and cooked perfectly. The house made sauce was extremely tasty. This place has only been open for a little over a week and they already had regulars one of which was in line at the cash register at the same time we were. As of the last couple of years, nothing has really been too successful in this building, but I think this streak has come to an end. The menu is definitely overwhelming, but with the help of the friendly staff, you can be lead to some very good choices. I had the wings and I think, by far, this restaurant has the best wings to offer in the Archdale/Trinity area. They are nicely breaded and pretty large (in contrast to the wings at East Coast Wings) and the sauces are on point. Our first observation of this place is overall very good. I recently visited this restaurant for the first time, and ordered their patty melt with fries. The food was very good; the service, not so much. My waitress stood at another customer's table and talked with the customers there for the majority of the time of my visit. I got a giggle out of overhearing her telling them about a past customer who left her $1 tip, saying to the tipper, if you can't tip more than a dollar, then you go get it yourself. Maybe she was giving that customer the same treatment I was getting, and yep, you guessed it, I left her a dollar too. In fact, I had to walk over to the counter and ask for a to-go box for the remainder of my generous portion of patty melt. I have waited tables in my past, and I was NEVER allowed to visit and chat at the patrons' tables. It's just not great for business, especially if you want a good tip. I WILL return and try some more of their dishes, based on other customers' comments here, as they do have a great variety of offerings. read more
