We have tried most pizza joints in Oswego- and none of them quite hit the mark. Cold upon arrival- raw onion tossed on the pizza prior to arrival (oops we meant to cook it) or just crappy pizza! So we decided to try Pizza Villa and we are pretty happy with the pizza. It is on the thicker side which presents a small issue that I will address- but the flavor was great, toppings abundant and the baked wings were delicious. Heading home from Liverpool we called and placed a pickup order. Meat pizza with onions and an order of plain wings- crispy. Staff that answered the phone were great and informative and after a "give us about 30 min" I hung up the phone and headed their way. Arrived to lots of smiles and happy staff making pizzas and wings and told them we had not had great experiences with other places in Oswego- and they said "well we hope you love ours" Got home and dug in. The pizza and sauce (just the right amount) is delicious. I had asked for it to be well done as we generally prefer thin crust, theirs is pretty thick, and they obliged. The wings were really great and fell off the bone. The only criticism I have is that due to the thickness of the crust, it wasn't cooked through and was doughy. They seem to cook the pizza in a pan in the oven and it doesn't have direct contact with the oven (that is what I saw) so perhaps the pan is keeping the crust from cooking through? Not sure- but it was the only draw back. It wasn't horribly undercooked just enough that it was noticeable. Other than that- great taste, great experience and we will be back!! read more

My Favorite Pizza ever! 3 out of 5 stars, due to fact I Ordered a Sheet pie with White Sauce, well I got a pie with "light sauce- Red sauce" not my favorite, no extra cheese or garlic butter as ordered. There were probably 7-8 staff working, but it must have been an off night for them. Also amazing Garlic wings, big juicy, tasty, cooked well! Chunks of garlic. We were in the area and this was the pizza shop closest to us. When we parked the pizza smelled delicious from the parking lot! We ordered a large pizza half cheese, half pepperoni. It was absolutely delicious! As other reviews have mentioned it was really cheesy and the pepperoni was under the cheese. The tomato sauce had a hint of sweetness and the sauce to cheese ratio was just right. I would definitely go there again. read more

Consistently great pizza! Light fluffy crust with the perfect crunch. The sauce has some sweet tones to it, which I didn't think I'd like but actually loved. If you're a fan of mozzarella and you normally order your pizza with extra cheese, DONT! Every pizza they make is smothered in the perfect amount of mozzarella. Any more would be obnoxious. If you're looking for a fancy place to sit and enjoy a pizza, this isn't it. If however, you're looking to pick up a great pie from an old fashioned pizza parlor, look no further. Don't know where all these 3-and-fewer-stars reviews are coming from. Thankfully, I can see they're all much older! Pizza Villa is amazing, one-of-a-kind pizza. It isn't New York City-styled pizza, and that is not what Pizza Villa is going for. I was born and raised in NYC and have had my share of both great and sub-par pizza -- I would still choose Pizza Villa slices over any of my favorite pizzerias in the City. The crust is delicious: thick and fluffy but still with a slight crunch, and hefty enough to hold up their generous toppings. It can often call for eating with a fork and knife, if you're into that sort of thing, or you can just enjoy it like a champ without utensils. We always order extra cheese (so luscious!), and meatball topping is a newfound love for us. Unlike most other pizza, Pizza Villa slices also seem to taste even better the day-after, warmed up! While there isn't full seating room for a dine-in experience, we always take out any way. Pizza Villa should definitely be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home or car because it is a whole experience. The space is no-frills and service is always on point! We are never disappointed. Amazing calzones Love these guys. While I was in town for Harborfest I looking for a really good calzone. I haven't had these guys in a many years and man it was amazing I wish I took pictures. I got a medium pepperoni, sausage and mushroom calzone that was huge and enough for the three of us eating. I'll definitely be getting one more before heading out of town. We ordered a pizza and wings at 5:15pm, she said it should be here by 6pm. I live about a 5 minute drive from there but didn't want to pick it up so we ordered for delivery. We have 2 kids in the house and one of them goes to bed around 7. We called 4 times from 6:30-6:40 asking where it was, but nobody answered any of the times so we ordered from Gino & Joes. The delivery guy shows up at 6:50 and we told him to just bring it back to the store. We will NOT be ordering from here again. Terrible customer service read more

I love this pizza. I'm not the biggest fan of thick crust, but this is delicious and crunchy. Very generous with toppings and cheese. Their sauce is magnificent. Not too sweet, not too spicy, just the right amount. This is a juicy pizza. Get out your napkins! The wings are also good, with a tangy mild sauce and a smoky hot sauce. YUM! I heard mixed reviews before I tried myself. I feel guilty giving my full honest opinion. I ordered pepperoni and black olives on welldone medium pie. When the young man brought the pizza to my car right before I pulled out checked the pie and looked at it - it appeared as tho it had no toppings though I was charged for 2 toppings, I said to myself "they're 2 young guys in their n it's well-done at least they got that right just be grateful get home and eat!" To my surprise when I separated the first slice I saw the toppings we actually UNDER the CHEESE and on top of the sauce. This KINDA boggled my mind for a minute... there was A LOT of sauce (not the best sauce not the worst sort avg like a Ragu PREGO no genuine pizzeria Mama mia splash of sugar special family recipe type sauce IMO) and the cheese was very like choppy... almost like this sliced cheddar cheese would be but it was Mozzerella and it was melted but it wasn't stretchy or soft but it was white and seemed like mozzarella - - - let's just say eating each and every slice slice of this pizza had its own unique experience. It was pretty greasy, by the time I'd get to the crust it was DRIPPING in grease. I mean it was sort of satisfying in an odd way and the 2nd day reheat reminded me much of griddled cheese but I wouldn't be eating much that pizza in front of a man I was trying to date or impress LOL. Wow this pizza is just not good! It's awesome eating 4lbs of cheese on top of your pizza, which makes it flop like no other. The crust is the best part of this pie, other than that it's just a doughy mess that falls apart as soon as you pick it up. Dare I say one would have to use a knife and fork to eat this pizza sadly. Dave Portnoy would not be proud and would base the score on how nice the people are because he's too soft to give this a 4.1 like it really is. Today was my first time trying Pizza Villa. We needed two pizzas delivered to our work location today which was 7 miles away (I looked at Google Maps). The delivery charge was $20. Ouch! Personally, I am not a fan of thick pizza unless it's a deep dish pizza loaded with toppings. I thought the pizza was "okay" because it had no overwhelming features to it. I ordered peppers and onions and they prepare the pizza with the cheese on the top, over the toppings. It wasn't my favorite pizza ever, but it was not the worst by any means. If you enjoy thick pizza, this should be your go-to. read more

Been a WEEKLY customer for *25 years and order the same thing , so we know when it is not the same as usual. I'm not sure what's going on there but lately the quality control and service has declined greatly. Deliveries over an hour, dry or undercooked crust, overcooked wings but most recently a pizza with very skimpy amount of toppings and cheese. I called and was told it passed through inspection and was a good pizza. Made to feel as if I was a liar. The male manager I spoke with was very defensive. I then said that I want to be assured that next time my order is consistent to what I'm used to. He said he would make note of it Never even apologized or cared that a longtime customer was not happy with their order. Very disappointed to be treated this way. Hope they listen to complaints and take action to fix or they will be loosing customers and they're best Pizza in Oswego title, if they still have it! read more

I think it's Oswego's best pizza. At this writing, a medium cheese pizza is about as big as most other places' large and costs $9.30. They use a very heavy, chewy dough and the pizza weighs about a ton. The cheese is real - very real, as real as you can get - and they pile it on, as I'm sure they do all other toppings. As another reviewer pointed out, it can get messy, but tastes so good! Price gets better when y'realize a couple of slices are *very* filling and freezing the rest for later makes one pie more than one meal and tastes just as good in a couple of days. read more

When we come up to Oswego, we always to go PV for a mushroom calzone. We give the taste a 5/5. Unfortunately, we both agreed that there was too little sauce and too few mushrooms this time. It was very dry, sauce-wise, not dough-wise, and the mushrooms needed to be 1/2 again, if not twice, as many as what was in ours, a disappointing 2/5. The dough overwhelmed the contents. Definitely not the calzone we usually experience. Fix those 2 things and it would be a 5/5! The 2 guys we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. 5/5 on that front. Our food was ready when they said it would be, and hot, again, 5/5. Because of the paltry amounts of sauce and mushrooms, we have to give an overall 3.5/5. :( read more

Not a bad deal for a sheet pizza especially when other places charge almost $40 or more and that's not adding anything else you may want which could easily top $50+. Pizza Villa in Oswego gets so busy on Saturday evenings (at 5:30pm) that they feel as though they don't have to offer customer service along with their pizza and wings. Adam and I have been ordering from them almost weekly since December, he even more for a many years. Tonight I made our usual order and instead of delivery something made me decide to chose to pick it up. I'm really glad I did, or else I would have paid over the phone and never received any product. I showed up 40 minutes later, as they requested. Waited about 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge me at the counter. Told them my name and what I ordered. The young man poked around some order sheets, casually inquired with his coworkers but could not "find" my order. Two pizzas and three orders of wings. I was able to see the whole thing because of the small building and open kitchen. He comes back to me, shrugs and says he can't find it. I guess he thought I would shrug back and walk away. I said, "so you just aren't going to look anymore, I called 40 minutes ago and gave a full order, I have four hungry kids in the car and would appreciate if you could find my order". Every other employee avoided eye contact with me and the man "helping me" (let's use that term loosely) said, "well you could place another order I guess" but in a tone that said, "I really hope not". I gave him another moment to realize how much he sucked at his job to no avail. I told him and the other employees that they just lost a weekly customer due to their lack of customer service and walked out shaking my head. Now, I am a VERY patient person. I am a very forgiving person. I RARELY write negative reviews. But the way I was treated tonight at this establishment deserves this review. Since the employees at Pizza Villa in Oswego can't see past putting sauce on pre-made crust to help customers I will gladly lighten their load and make sure they no longer will be burdened with my business. read more

First pizza was excellent best I'd had in a long time. The wings were not to my taste. Ordered again a few weeks later, totally different pizza altogether. Way to much cheese and very doughy. My husband and I ate one slice and threw it away. So several weeks later we try again. We ordered and picked up our pizza returned it after one bite . So much cheese made it salty and we didn't ask for extra cheese. We took it back told them that this is now our 2nd time with a bad pizza. We then were told we'll make another one, we ordered light cheese and the rest was what we had previously had. We get it home yes slightly less cheese! But oh so doughy.
