    Dill Pickle Pizza
    Salvatore B.

In town for baseball tourney, this place was recommended by locals at grocery store. The dill pickle pizza was pretty good. Kids loved the sheet pizza but it was heavy on cheese and soggy. Wings were greasy too. Some people in the group loved both the wings and pizza? To each their own.

Overall food was tasty. I was a little surprised bu the size of the pizza (although I ordered small) for the price it was smaller than I imagined. Also the salad left me wanting something more. Clam strips were good. Would order again.

Your classic pizza and wings backed by Roadkill's own Stubby Bob, another classic itself!

We've eaten in and ordered take out, and never been disappointed. However, I do wish the garbage plate came with authentic Texas hot meat sauce rather than a tomato-based Italian meat sauce. But since I grew up in Rochester, home of the legendary garbage plate, I guess I'm a bit of a garbage plate snob. Whoa, is that any oxymoron?!?! GJP Pizza is among the best available in Oswego, not too thin, and not too thick, but rather just like Goldilocks. I always ask for our wings to be crispy with extra sauce, and they have gotten it right every single time. I've tried a few of their Italian dishes and they're all pretty good, but I haven't tried their subs yet.

Worst customer service ever and the food is just mediocre. Used to be good...skip this place and order from Bridge Street instead.

Great pizza and more than healthy portions for a reasonable price. The meat lasagna fed me 4x and I can eat.

Their ingredients are locally sourced, and all of their menu items are fresh and made from scratch. I walked into Riverwalk Bagel on a rare morning trip to Oswego village and wanted some breakfast. Ordered a ham, egg and cheese on a jalapeno cheddar bagel. Got it, started eating and everything seemed fine. Meat was piled high, bagel was decent, but as I took a bite or two, I noticed something green in my egg. Not really sure how I missed it, as the spots are noticeable even in the pic I took before I started eating. I took the sandwich apart to see that there were green spots all over my egg. I took it to the front counter to see if maybe there was something they put in the eggs I didn't know about, but the response was basically "no, they're just old and get green spots on them when left in the steamer too long." I watched another employee go to the steamer and throw away the remaining eggs, but received no offer to remake mine or anything, employees were pretty apathetic the entire time I was there. I'm not expecting employees of a bagel shop to jump for joy or anything, but the complete lack of interest from the employees when I expressed a concern about an admitted problem on their end will probably keep me from coming back again.

Online reviews are all over the map, so we wanted to see for ourselves. We visited recently with our 7- and 8-year-old nephews, hoping to soak up the tradition. The reality was more transactional. The hostess took our order while sipping her own beverage likely why we were shorted an order of fries. Nice enough, but not especially professional or welcoming. The whole operation moves fast; the staff is determined and task-focused rather than friendly. You get a buzzer and wait. The interior was renovated in 2025, and it shows but not in a good way. The bright white walls and green banquettes feel sterile, more fast-casual chain than 80-year-old lakeside institution. In modernizing, they stripped out whatever nostalgia the old space had and put nothing back. Some local artwork, vintage photos, or lake history on those fresh white walls would go a long way. The food: the boys enjoyed their cheeseburgers, and the fries are genuinely good. The fish sandwich was generously sized but bland the batter had little flavor, and the tartar sauce didn't rescue it. For a place with an 80-year reputation built on fish, I expected more. The lobster mac and cheese left a lot to be desired. The tab: four drinks, two cheeseburgers with fries, lobster mac, and a fish sandwich with fries came to nearly $70 steep for a lakeside stand where fries alone run $5.25. The setting is lovely and the legacy is real. But sometimes generational ownership slips down a slick slope and making money starts to matter more than making memories.
