    Home-Made Chili

Visited this random place in West Point. The place looks like it is in a house. The people inside seemed like they were very close. I felt like I was at a Cheers bar where everyone knows their names. I ate their homemade chili cause I wanted something light and it was like 2pm already. The chili was amazing. So rich with meat and cheese. Definitely worth getting the chili if you are in West Point. The place got super busy after 4pm on Friday. I suspect cause the Phillies game was on. This is definitely the suburb joint to not miss!

I'm so disappointed that I have to write this review but the public needs to be warned. Pizza time used to have MY FAVORITE pizza. I would order it all the time and it was consistently good. I don't know if they changed the kitchen staff or what but recently I've been getting raw pizzas. I have given them multiple chances to correct this mistake. I add notes to orders asking to "please make this pie well done" stating that "it has been delivered raw in the past." Since then, I've ordered a handful of times, and ONLY ONCE did I get an acceptable pie. I don't know what happened to this restaurant. It's really so upsetting that it went so downhill so quickly, with no sense or urgency to correct their mistakes. Safe to say I'm done ordering from here.

First time out since the pandemic shutdown. Ordered a large pizza and it was great. Ate on the patio.

Went here a second time and again everyone at the table was very pleased. One person got the mediterranean chicken wrap (only $6 with a huge order of fries as this was the Sunday special!) - everything was fresh tasting and she loved the dressing on the wrap. The fries are delicious with this crisp coding. Another person got a cuban sandwich which was absolutely humongous. Every layer of the sandwich was great - ham, pulled pork, turkey, the pickles! And I got the salmon Blt which was truly wonderful. It was honestly some of the best and most crisp bacon that I have ever eaten. The salmon was cooked perfectly and had a Cajun spice mix on top of it. The sandwich was coated with a horse radish sauce. At first I was afraid the sauce would be overpowering but it actually added to the sandwich nicely. Again I will certainly be back here! Sat outside again too. Great place to watch a football game!

Great food. Nice bar atmosphere and people are very friendly. They also do a nice brunch on Sunday's. Pizza is delicious!

The two "Hostesses" gave a new meaning which is just the opposite. I'm in town in business and just happened upon this place. There are apparently two entrances to the building so myself and a coworker came in the back. I made eye contact with the Hostesses and neither made an effort to say Hi, ask a question, bring a Menu, NOTHING except to stare at me as if I didn't belong there. Finally the Bartender greeted us with Menu's and a kind word. I just got in town last night so today I planned on having my first Cheese Steak. The "Pounder Cheese Steak did not disappoint. It was rich with the Cheese they used and the grilled onions gave it just enough texture with the Bread. Exceptional! Onion Rings were good and tasted freshly cut. The Sauce served with the onion Rings made a great dipping sauce for the occasional bite of the Cheese Steak. Not sure I'll be back, at least not in this trip. I just hate terrible service.from an establishment that I would otherwise frequent. Yallhollatchaboy'.

However what made my visit on 4/18 the best ever was our server was absolutely fantastic. It's rare when a server's attitude and personality is infectious as ours was yesterday. I don't know her name - sorry - but the impression she made on my party of 5 was unbelievable delightfully. A member of our party spilled a drink and as she was attempting to clean it up our server came over, smiled and helped but made the person feel like a friend instead of an annoyance / mistake. She is probably a college student but the pride and joy she had doing a "job" and making all of feel so welcome was outstanding.

There was much less chicken than was shown in the picture however. The house margarita tasted like salt water and although we only asked for a different drink, the server Len had it taken off the bill. If he didn't we would have probably left a 2 or 3 star review but Len was polite and hospitable the entire time. The restaurant also seemed short staffed for a Friday and he did his - great job making sure to help everyone as multiple tables were asking for drinks between his runs bringing plates back to the kitchen on his own.

Most familiar places were closed, it being Monday so we took to Google to see what our options were. We just wanted burgers. Nothing fancy. We got seated right away and got to peruse the menu. Simple and to.the point. More than reasonable prices for how excellent the food is. Nothing over $20 on the menu. Seriously. I got the maple bbq burger. Now, the only note I have is the bacon could've been crispier. Other than that, it was juicy, full of flavor, cooked perfectly and all elements worked in harmony. The bbq sauce wasn't too sweet or ketchup-y like some and the maple bacon was YUM. My mom got the cheese burger with cooper sharp and it was heavenly. The tomatoes were just bursting with flavor. The decor is geared towards music. We had an old pic of Sonny & Cher with Bob Dylan. It was hard to look at given how changed Cher is from her um... enhancements. The ceiling is covered with old concert.posters & it was a hoot picking all of the ones I LURVE out (old Bowie poster.from the 70s to start). There are TV screens EVERYWHERE with ALL current games showing. I could watch a baseball game while the.flyers were hopefully beating Pittsburgh.(Sorry to all da burgh fans) Just a fun place for great food & drink. Let's break it down: Location: 5/5 Vibe / Atmosphere: 4/5 Beer Selection: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Food: 2/5 Takeout: 3/5 On paper, this place should be a home run. Great location. Solid sports bar energy. Rock-and-roll decor, good music, and it's a perfectly fine spot to catch Monday Night Football or grab beers with friends. The staff generally does a good job, and the beer list is one of the better ones in the area. But the food is the weak link and unfortunately, it's a big one. The food is consistently below average. It's not terrible, but it's disappointing, especially given the prices. This is a place where you're better off ordering apps, feeding the kids, or just sticking to drinks. If this is your one night out for the week or the month, you're probably leaving wishing you'd gone somewhere else. The menu itself is broad, I don't want to say everything here is "mid," but I've tried a wide range of items: salads, turkey burger, tacos, bowls, wings... and the only consistently safe bets seem to be the appetizers or fried foods. For a lot of people, that's probably fine, but those are the items I try to stay away from, which makes the menu tougher to navigate. Maybe there's a standout dish I haven't tried yet, but I shouldn't have to hunt for something good. Takeout is another mixed bag. Every time I've tried ordering online, it looks like it's working...until it doesn't. Checkout fails, and I end up having to call in my order to a noisy bar. Once the order is placed, things usually go smoothly, but they should fix it or put up a notice before wasting your time customizing an order for 8 people. What really bugs me about Pour House is that it occupies a prime spot in the local restaurant scene. It feels like it blocks better sports bar concepts from opening because, technically, "that spot is already taken." But it's a mismatch. They need to pick a lane, either: -Lower the prices and lean into classic bar food, or -Keep the prices and raise the food quality a full notch or two Right now, it's stuck in the middle and that's why it lands at three stars. So close to being great, but not quite there.
