Was on Tyler Road today when my son saw pizza ranch. We seen it a couple times driving by when we visit Wichita. He decided he wanted to try it. At first when we parked, we saw a long line which is a generally a good sign. We went in and got a table. They were packed. I notice around me not a lot of people eating pizza which was weird since it was a pizza buffet. We went and got a couple of slice and right away i know why. The pizza was not good. the crust was stale and the each pizza didn't have a great taste. I tried a couple different slices and man not one that i liked. We then notice at the end of the pizza bar where everybody was huddled and line up. We notice that there was fried chicken. I had to go try to get me a couple of pieces. Man and it didn't disappoint. The chicken was crispy hot and flavorful. The sides were not that great eithe, beside the mash potatoes . They also had soft serve for dessert and some dessert pizza. The staff was friendly. We had a great time dining at Pizza Ranch. When I first heard of it, I was being told about their great fried chicken and I was confused. Boy was I in for a treat! The fried chicken was amazing, as was the pizza and everything else on the buffet. The salad was some of the freshest I've had, and the salad dressings were tasty. The servers were attentive, but the hospitality began when you ordered. The people working on the line made sure the food was fresh and replenished often . False advertising! When I checked my Ranch Rewards, it said I had $5 available. When I called to order pizza for pickup, the girl who took my order, after she got my phone number and name, said that I had $5 available in my Rewards points. So she applied the $5, and told me my bill is $16.19. But when I went to pick up my pizza, the Carryout Cashier will not give me my $5 discount. After some discussion, he gave me $4 discount for my Reward points. I asked him why and he simply said "I don't know but he can only give $4 discount." So what's the point of the Ranch Rewards? After buying Pizza Ranch chicken and pizza several times, the Ranch Rewards says you earned $5 discount but when you use it, the cashier will only apply $4 discount. What's going on? This is my favorite Wednesday lunch spot. I always start with a salad, then I eat fried chicken, mashed potatoes and corn. YUM. Pizza Ranch has the best tasting soft serve vanilla ice cream in town and I top it off with a crunchy chocolate chip cookie. Like I said, my favorite. I ordered chicken from Pizza Ranch on DoorDash, it was called The Country's Best Chicken on DoorDash. I ordered a 4-piece chicken meal that came with one side, which I ordered mashed potatoes, also I ordered coleslaw. The chicken was very good and flavorful, it could easily match KFC or Popeyes. The coleslaw was delicious and the mashed potatoes and gravy was good, the meal also came with a biscuit, which was good. Ironically, I recommend Pizza Ranch via DoorDash if you're in the mood for fried chicken. read more

Best friend chicken in town!! The pizza was good but the chicken was amazing ! Better than KFC, Popeyes etc. They were a little slow replenishing the buffet with pizza and breadsticks especially for such a busy weekend night BUT I will say after standing up there waiting for more breadsticks to come out i went and sat back down because I was sick of waiting, one of the employees came and brought me a fresh plate of breadsticks to our table because she saw us waiting;) Now that is awesome service!! read more

Ordered chicken delivery last night and it will be the last time. The chicken came cold and soggy with grease. One of the wings was torn apart, it barely even resembled a wing. Gross. I love this place 98%. The pizza is awesome. The chicken is crisp and moist. Pretty good salad bar. Employees are attentive and nice. The part i dont like. I just dont understand whay they charge for a "to go" container. Thats like charging for a "to go" cup. Makes NO SENSE. I had 3 pieces of pizza and a chicken leg that i was too full to eat. I asked for a to go box. You can purchase one i was told. I didnt have any extra $$ on me but i didnt want to throw the food out. But thats what happened. What a waste of food. Where do I even start. The fried chicken tastes like it just sat in a bunch of grease. The pizza tastes like its from Little Caesars. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were from my school cafeteria in 1998. The desert pizza and Ice cream I would rate a 6 out of 10. I wouldnt eat here. After eating at the Emporia and Manhattan restaurants. We had to stop here at this new one in Wichita. Boy were we disappointed. First off, they are squeezing everyone into one small section. Can we spread out a little? Ya we are taking a risk eating in public with covid, but can we get a small bit of room. I had people coughing on my neck. I could barely move around in the tight section we sat in. They were trying to keep everyone in a small section to keep it "clean".... We ordered a pizza. They took the order wrong. We corrected them. They repeated it back correctly. The pizza came out wrong. We explained what it was supposed to have. Rinse, repeat, the pizza came out wrong. I gave up after the second time. The cactus bread was dry and hard as a rock. The salad bar was missing key items found at other restaurants. The pizza was decent, but most all of them were burnt and over cooked. And last and most importantly, no biscuits. I looked forward to one of those buttery biscuits, but nope, not here. I will say. I've not been to pizza ranch in a good while. So they may have taken them off the menu, but I see pictures of them on their Facebook page. So it would be nice if it wasn't advertised. If they aren't going to have it on the buffet. All and all, stick to Emporia or Manhattan for your pizza ranch fix. Skip out on this one for sure. read more

This place is horrible. Chucky Cheese is way better and I'm not a fan of Chucky Cheeses.

The food could've been a bit better, but the service for the most part was a little lackluster the only person that I could see was doing a great job and really trying to connect with the customers and help them as much as he could was a tall boy that looked to be around 18-17 I think was named something like Cameron or some other variation, the only person that I could see with a name tags. What he did was something that I didn't expect, he had told us have a good rest of your night when we left and he also was communicating a decent amount with us and asking how our food was and telling us to enjoy our meal whenever we would order a custom pizza. He seemed to really enjoy his job, it has been almost a week or so since I went and I couldn't get the young one off my mind just seeing how much more he was going over his other coworkers to ensure they we would have an excellent meal. I tried to offer him a job and he said that he was not really looking for another job but would hear me out and see if he wanted to take action. I had offered him a job in customer service and he told me that he was actually 16 and oh my days was I not expecting that. I told him that he needed to be 18 to join and that I was sad that he couldn't join us because of his age. Truly a brilliant young man. there were some other people that stood out that included a woman that had pink hair and was excellent with the customers and my friends that I had with me. Although the place was a little more than I was expecting certain individuals seemed to be holding the entire place together just on the tip of their fingers. Honestly would recommend pizza ranch to some other places but the prices where a bit steep and there didn't seem like there was an excellent selection of soft drinks and such, the salad bar had caught my attention and It was an excellent thing to see just how much they had. Love the stuffed crust pizza and fried chicken. The kids love the games! A weekend favorite for my family!
