It's large enough for 3 people to share, as there were 2 of us and we had some left over to take home. Brian Olsen has pizza on lock! He is a master at his craft. These pizzas have an amazing flavor, terrific crust and quality ingredients. They serve burgers and a chicken sandwiche, too! We ordered 3 different pizzas... one with garlic cream sauce and green peppers, one with pepperoni, sausage & red peppers and another specialty pizza with the hot honey & arugula with pepperoni and Calabrian chili's. Man, that was some good Za!! Claire was our server and she was terrific, too! Clearing dirty plates, refreshing silverware and beverages. Terrific attitude! All in all, Bettendorf has an amazing pizza restaurant that the locals should be grateful for in their own neighborhood! And, Smash serves beer, wine, and cocktails, too. I wish I lived closer. I'd become a regular and dine in often! Whenever I'm back in town, I'll be sure to stop by to try some different specialty pies, like the elote pie. That one sounded really good! This location in Bettendorf was the only one I could find that supports dine-in, which is what my wife and I wanted. Later we found out that they had just reopened their dining room earlier in the year (it had been closed since Covid). Harris Pizza started as a neighborhood liquor store in 1960, owned by the Harris family. The Quad-City style of pizza was created by Mary Harris, with many of the important pieces (a hand tossed crust infused with malt and molasses, a spicy tomato sauce with pepper flakes, a heavy dose of end to end toppings underneath a thick layer of mozzarella cheese, and slices being long rectangular pieces) being attributed to her. It expanded to multiple locations around the Quad Cities (really five cities: Davenport IA, Rock Island IL, Moline IL, East Moline IL, Bettendorf IA...though the more correct moniker of Quint Cities never caught on), including this fifth location in Bettendorf. We came for an early dinner. One orders and pays at the counter, with the food being delivered to the table. We ordered a small size Hawaiian Pizza ($17.77) ordered well done, waffle fries ($6.50), fried cheese curds ($10.50 plus $1.35 extra for marinara dipping sauce). I got a Yuengling Lager in a bottle ($4.75). They also offer Hank's gourmet soda in bottles, with vanilla cream ($2.27) being what my wife chose. The food came in waves, with the waffle fries being first. They were outstanding, not overly battered or seasoned but fried to perfection. The cheese curds were really good too, a healthy amount and served piping hot, great to dip in the OK marinara. The pizza came last, and it indeed was more than enough for two with a very thick layer of cheese. The ham had been put under the cheese, but the canned pineapple bits were on top. My wife and I agreed that it was a really good pizza, though I would have loved it if it had been cooked even a bit longer than the well done (maybe ask for it extra well done next time?). Just like a tavern style cut, all the pieces are not the same size so one can be picky in getting a crust heavy piece vs a toppings heavy one. Either way, it is quite filling. The value is outstanding and the service was prompt and friendly throughout. The small pizza (with a ton of toppings and cheese) was more than enough for the two of us, with about half of it still to be eaten. I can now say I've done a Yelp review for a Quad-City Pizza: it was great and the sides were excellent, too.

He said he thought it could use a little something to give it a bit more flavor. I agreed. Maybe some garlic would have helped? My Long Island iced tea also tasted fine. However, I have to question the alcohol content. I drank it in less than half an hour and didn't feel a thing. I decided not to get another one. At $8.88 per drink, I didn't think it was worth it. I want to stress that the food and drinks we got tasted fine. I just didn't feel like I got what I ordered. We had a good time out on the patio, so the time wasn't wasted, but I highly doubt I'll be going back. I didn't take any photos because I wasn't expecting to do review.
