We have been here many times and we love it. Today we went in this restaurant at 9 pm. We just ordered a pizza and the brasilian waitress gave BAD SERVICE to us. She was very rude cleaning the floor at 9:15 pm while we were eating and after 2 min she brought to us the check while i was eating the second slice of the pizza. She rushed us but we check the time in advance seeing that the restaurant clase at 10 pm. This absolutely the worst exeperience ever. My friend didn t want to eat anymore, he was very sad. This is the best pizza place In CT outside of Pepe's in New Haven, which some will say is the greatest Pizza in the whole US. If you are in Greenwich and ordering from anywhere else you are crazy. The crust is just about perfect. I don't know how they do it, but it's just crispy enough on the outside and just exactly perfect on the inside. BYOB is absolutely fantastic. Thank you for that. We get their pizzas to go a few times a month and can not recommend them highly enough. We are almost always thoroughly impressed. If I could give this place 4.5 stars I would, and only take off .5 stars for a few small things. First off, no delivery. Greenwich residents are used to being pampered. I'm surprised they don't offer delivery since I am sure people would happily pay for that service. When dining there the service itself can sometimes be off. Slow, sometimes a bit aloof, but not terrible or ever rude. Dining area is a bit crowded but It's tough to hold that against them, real estate is not cheap in Greenwich. The last two times we came here for dinner the tap water had stuff in it and service was oblivious to it. I don't ask for water anymore when I visit. So why 5 stars and not 4 despite a few minor issues? Like I said, it's the best pizza in CT outside of Pepe's in New Haven and I want you to go get pizza from this place. You will love it. Hands down the absolute best pizza in Fairfield county and arguably the whole state. The owner, Matt, writes the textbook on customer service. The ambiance is cozy and authentic, and the food is not just genuine fine traditional Italian cuisine but creative and incredibly delicious. Try EVERYTHING! Second time here and the food was great again. The service was another story......they brought out one meal and said our pizza order would be right out. 10 minutes later the waiter gives half-hearted "sorry" and said the pizza would be right out. Another 5 minutes goes by and he comes back out to say that there was a "mix up" and nothing had been made yet. We waited another 20 minutes for the pizza and the first meal was brought out again but this time it was cold. Manager stepped up did the right thing and the pizza was on them. I've been coming here for ages and the food is affordable and consistent most of the time. On occasion I've had an ok meal, not great, but just ok. My husband and I order the same thing every time. A medium salad and a small pizza. That's all she wrote. Their salads are huge. You can splurge for the large but you'll have left overs. It's about 20 bucks, maybe 30 with drinks. The pizza is Greek style. For those not familiar with this style pizza, it is different. I'm a diehard NY, thin pizza, addict. This is not NY style thin pizza. It's also not deep dish. It's sort of in between thick and thin and the dough is different. It's more "cakey" and soft than NY crisp crust. This place makes Greek style, Connecticut, pizza right! The crust is not mushy and not too thick. The sauce and cheese is not too heavy. I feel like they could add a tad more sauce some of the time. I've also gone for lunch and eaten other things including the grape leaves which are decent but not made there. My friend once ordered the mac & cheese pizza. I'm not a fan of putting pasta on pizza, especially cheesy pasta so I stayed away. No one liked it, even hot sauce couldn't rescue it. I really would stick to the staples here and not get too adventuresome. If you like this style pizza then you'll like this place for its consistency. I've seen some reviews of how horrible the salad is. It's not a fancy salad. It's your basic, run of the mill, mostly iceberg salad. I like a nice salad just like the next gal but it's nice to have a change once in a while. When I was a kid, iceberg was all the rage. Now anyone ever wants is a fancy, dancy, mixed greens, arugula, radicchio with amaranth and ancient grains, gourmet salad. It's back to the basics here. The salads are HUGE and they sparingly mix in some other veggies add a few olives and pepperoncinos. That's it. Plain Jane and sometimes that isn't so bad! Ask for dressing on the side or light dressing as they tend to add a lot. read more

The waiters are always friendly and kind. Pizza post is a small place, but small doesn't mean bad. Every time we come, it's pretty busy. A great sign that this a popular place and people love it! If only Pizza Post delivered... We've been ordering, and picking up from, Pizza Post for maybe 15 years. Every pizza is the same: crisp, hot and delicious. Never bready or cardboardish like some other pizzas. Never oversauced or gooey with too much cheese. Proportions, people! When they get busy, look out. All bets are off as to when your pizza will actually be ready. I've seen this once -- on Halloween. Never, ever, order pizza on Halloween. Such a total mess... But when I asked and told them what time I'd asked the pizza to be ready and how long I'd been waiting, all was fixed in a matter of minutes. I don't understand the bad reviews. Pizza Post is always friendly and efficient. The food is really good, for a PIZZA PLACE!!! It is not fine dining, it is not even gourmet pizza. It is pizza place pizza and it fills that niche very, very well. Salads are okay, again, for a pizza place. I had a soup once and it was delicious. I wouldn't bother much with the gluten free pizza. Its fine, but they don't make the crust in house, it comes to them frozen, and its pretty flavorless. As usual. Why can no one make a decent GFP?!? To me a lot of places make the same pizza, but I can tell you that pizza post distinguish its self for a few reasons. 1) As I mention I love the sauce. Ordered something for PU with clear direction,, I got all the way home however, had to go all the way back for them to fix it and find they also charged extra for the things I didnt want. I gave them an opportunity to make it right but all they did was throw me a loaf of garlic bread of which I had to make the sandwich myself at home and they even gave me an attitude.
