This pizza pie cafe is terrible. The food was ok... The selection sucks. They only make half the pizzas that the one in rexburg makes. The service was horrible as well. We asked for pizza that they said they would put in right away and 30 minutes later... No pizza. We even asked several times. Don't waste your time here. Go to the one in rexburg. read more

I knew better than to take my family to a pizza buffet later in the evening, but what occurred last night was more than discouraging. We had just moved into a new house and had spent all day unpacking, I thought it would be a nice treat. I was wrong. After we paid we were told we could only sit in the front section of the restaurant because the rest had already been cleaned. It was packed. There was nowhere for my family of 5 to sit. So we looked into the next section with booths, again full. We ventured over to the area behind the salad bar to see if there was a spot. There were roughly 4 tables being used. We began sitting down and were told that we couldn't sit there because they had already cleaned those tables. We were told to wait for a table in the front section to become open. I was a little shocked, but we complied because we didn't want to be rude. We finally settled in at our table and went to the pizza bar. They had cleaned one half of it already and combined all pizzas available (including dessert pizzas) onto one end. There were still quite a few customers and there were definitely not enough pizzas coming out. I tend to eat more salad than pizza and the salad bar was clean and well stocked. My kids however had a dinner of a couple of pieces of pizza and a soda for a ridiculous price compared to what we expected. I will double check my receipt but I believe we arrived about 7:30, closing time is listed on the door as 9pm. I really don't think this is how the owners would expect closing procedures to go. Really good pizza! The bread sticks are totaly awesome! This is where I go when I am blowing a diet because pizza is my weakest link! The cheesy bread sticks are awesome and they come in the same size as a pizza and are covered in cheese really good , but if your getting take out make sure to get the blue cheese dipping sauce for the pizza and the bread sticks really good. I have only dined in once but it was good they have a buffet and many pizzas to choose from. This right now is my first pizza choice in Idaho falls because it is so good! read more

Hit the spot! I really like that it is an all you can eat buffet because sometimes you don't want a pizza of all one kind. It's nice to be able to switch it up. However, I have to say I definitely miss the good crust of the original Craigos in Rexburg when they were in their little po dunk red building. Pizza Pie Cafe has got to be able to make a better crust then they currently have. It's not as soft as the old crust. Hence the reason for 4 starts instead of 5. Location was clean, employees were friendly and pizza was well stocked. Don't think I saw anything that had run out. Great visit just up your crust quality a little Pizza Pie Cafe. read more

Management has been switched up here and it's back to being a great family restaurant. Cookie dough pizza and Oreo pizza are my favorite dessert pizzas. The firehouse Rick is not to be missed if you're a fan of spice. Good owners, good staff. They are very accommodating to people who want to have larger parties! They work hard to bus tables and get used plates out of your way so if we find that they are doing a great job we like to leave a tip on the table for them :) it's not my favorite pizza in the world but for buffet style and what you pay for it, it's great! read more

The only time I have been here is with a large group and we had a coupon or something. So for that situation I guess it is ok. Kids like it so that should tell you something, it is not that good, but what do you expect for the price. In my opinion most people cannot tell good pizza from bad, thus all the frozen pizza and marginal pizza joints. People will eat almost anything called "pizza". This is one of those kind of places, the McDonald's of pizza. So if you like McDonald's, you will love this place. I would prefer the take and bake pizza places. read more

Can sometimes get a little crazy, given all the people that are running around. Sometimes there are difficulties getting the pizzas I want, but the staff does their best to keep up with things, and they've always been very kind in my experiences. Pizza and salad options are good and taste good, but their pasta sauces can be a bit bland. Still, they have amazing deals and specials that make it affordable and fun to go there. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. I had one piece of pizza and I got the Buffalo wing pizza, with the amount of sugar on it I thought I might have got the desert pizza, but no. It was the most disgusting pizza I have ever had. The sauces in the warming containers looked congealed and some were separated. The rest of my family ate simply because they were hungry. Their pizza and dessert pizzas are good but every time I come here it is utter chaos. I order take out quite frequently and almost every time there is either a foul up with my order or I have to wait 10-15 minutes past the time I specified to have it ready for pick up. They need to have more than one person at the register for people to pay. read more

Whatever the opposite of "hitting the spot" is, that's what PPC was tonight. We thought because it was a Friday we would get to try a variety of pizzas, but right from the beginning our experience there was awful. It wasn't particularly busy when we got there, but the ranch dressing and all the forks were gone on the salad bar, so we had to wait for those to eat. Then when we wanted pizza, there was almost NO pizza. I waited for cheese pizza OR the cheese breadsticks for my toddler for over 25 minutes. We found out that one of the pizza ovens was broken, but they kept taking tons of people into the restaurant, causing massive lines, a crazy pizza shortage, and low-quality food. They should have at least put a sign on the door saying that one of the ovens was out, because for most of the time we were there, there was almost no pizza. They were prioritizing the to-go pizzas instead of the people in the restaurant, so there were very few pizzas and very little variety. By the time we wanted dessert pizza, that was completely gone, too. I waited in line for 15 minutes for that, and they only put out the apple pizza and the raspberry pizza (which didn't even have any streusel topping). When we left I checked to see if they had any other dessert pizzas out yet and they still didn't have any of the oreo or cookie dough pizzas out. The moral of the story is, IF ONE OF YOUR PIZZA OVENS IS BROKEN, EITHER LET PEOPLE KNOW WHEN THEY COME IN, OR DON'T LET PEOPLE INTO THE RESTAURANT. It was such a joke being there. I have got to say I've had the worst customer service I've experienced in a long time here. We got there, ordered a specialty pizza and some buffets at about 5:40 pm and found an empty booth. The place was packed and so they were really busy. We did not get the ordered pizza till 6:10 pm. We were a little peeved but understanding because they were busy. When taking the first bite the pizza was not hot at all but rather slightly warm if that. Well because it took so long to get the pizza we went to get a box to take home. We spoke to the manager letting him know that not only did it take longer than expected to arrive but that it was cold. Guess what his response was, "What do you want us to do about it?" He proceeded to ask if we were told it would be 10 minutes just for the pizza to cook. Then said they were slammed. All of it true and understandable. What is not understandable or acceptable is how you provide customer service. No apologies just desire to shift the blame to the customer. I did not know it was my fault there were so many other people desiring pizza on a Monday night My Bad. The kicker he was the general manager. In fairness, eventually he gave us 1 free buffet which is equivalent to the pizza we received cold and not in a timely manner. Overall good food, customer service by the GENERAL MANGER very poor. read more

I would highly recommend this place. Very good food and value. Just took our whole family, and had a great experience. Customer service was excellent. We gave a gluten free need in our family - so it great that we could go to one place where everyone could eat. They made a special pizza gluten free and she got to keep the left over. Not very good pizza, and like many others have said, they have a real attitude. Especially the female cashier, who thinks she is all that. Place is barely clean, and they do not really take care of anybody gluten intolerant. They do charge $2 more for the smaller gluten free pizza, and the manager kept telling me they paid $6 more for their crusts. They must be real idiots then, because I went to Whole Foods and found Udi's pizza crusts, 2 for $2.59. and, that is retail, not wholesale. That makes it about $1.30 each. They probably could get them for .60 each if they were smart. And they are small. Probably equals about two to three of their slices on the buffet. So it is a loosing proposition if you are gluten intolerant, you are going to pay more, and be able to eat a lot less, because most of the menu is not available to you. You can have their limited salad bar, like every one else. Read other reviews of what people think of it. You can have one pasta, when they have it prepared, otherwise expect to wait for it for some time. We had to wait over 30 minutes. And you can have only two sauces, instead of the others that they have. So it is not a good deal if you are gluten intolerant, while everyone else gets to eat as much as they want, you are very limited, and pay more. Maybe this is how they make their profit. read more
