It goes without saying, this is a pizza buffet, so I definitely temper my expectations. That said, they delivered on my visit. Pizza was good, salad bar was well tended. Pasta was really good. I'm not big on desserts, but I tried some and they were pretty good. Cashier was friendly and service collecting plates was outstanding. The pizza and the dessert pizzas were good. They were on top of making sure the pizza station was refilled constantly The Alfredo and carbonara sauces were curdled and lacked flavor. Mane let me just tell you something : the employees who work there are very hard working and seem as though they want you to have the best possible experience. The place itself has plenty of room to sit a large quantity of people and the place is kept consistently clean . One of my favorite things about PPC is their pasta. Oh, my goodness is that wonderful. I mean, I know it's Barilla but the sauces that go with it are divine! Their pizza can be very hit or miss. The salad bar is your typical fare. It's good but nothing fancy. Hint, if you don't like to deal with the crowds like me go early. I suggest getting there right as they open. My only beef is that the pizzas usually aren't out until fifteen minutes after they open. Cleanliness is decent. I know it's hard to keep it clean when you get a large group of people, especially with children. I have seen it unkempt though when they first open. Make sure you get all your cleaning done before close guys. It's really important. read more

Fun place to take the kids so they can go wild and eat as much pizza as they want. Toppings are a little skimpy, and always out of Hawaiian pizza. That seems to be a crowd favorite. Pizza Pie Cafe has a great variety of pizzas with combinations I wouldn't typically get but loved to try! I don't have a big stomach but I definitely room for dessert pizza and it was worth it! So disappointed in this place!!!! We had planned a 50th birthday party and reserved the party room. We had not been in there for 10 minutes when they came and told us they needed to put other people in the room because the restaurant was busy. We were absolutely shocked and devastated!!!! When I made the reservation they said we would have the room for 1 hour do we had planned activities around that timetable. We were not forewarned about other people coming in. If they had told me that, we would have made other arrangements. We have a member of our group that cannot be in loud environments or around a lot of people,which was yet another reason we booked that room. Weeks of planning destroyed in a matter of moments. Friends took us here last week. $11 buffet not bad price. No Coke products for your $3, though. The Buffalo pizza was oddly sweet, stopped at one slice. Pepperoni pizza was OK. All crusts were a little doughy, needed more baking. Crust should just be thinner for the time in the oven, but being a buffet, they want you to fill up faster. I just stopped eating the crust after the first couple bites per slice. Took numerous trips to finally find a Hillbilly pizza available. The pasta bar was fine. A variety of noodle shapes and five sauce options. My friends rave about the Salad Bar, but I did not try it. Dessert choices were all pizza crust based. I was bummed a few weeks ago when I found out from medical test results said I was seriously gluten intolerant. I contacted a few close friends who I knew deal with celiac disease every day. In spite of that, the pizzas all tasted like they had been sitting in the window for an hour or more (which they hadn't). Salad bar was ok, but just minimal on options. Lunch was 7.25 per adult. Great value, great environment, great employees and some pretty good pizza. You can never expect pizza from a buffet to be amazing- much less at such a great low price, but they do some creative and fun things here. My favorite is the buffalo chicken pizza. When I was very first introduced to it, I was kind of let down because when you hear "buffalo" you are thinking of a delicious, tangy, vinegary bite. This one is not your traditional "buffalo" flavor. If you've been to Wingers, it's more like a Sticky Fingers pizza. Once those expectations are set and you're aware, its a delicious pizza and is reason alone to go. There's another one that's a spicy one with jalapeños and it's also very delicious. Their salad bar is hard to beat. Everything is much fresher than a lot of other salad bars you may have visited and questioned how long the lettuce has been sitting there. I start off with a huge, well composed salad to set the tone. The pasta is good, but in my opinion, between everything else, there's not much room for the pasta. But if you're a pasta guy/girl, they have a variety of pastas sauces, and the carbonara is pretty legit! The dessert pizzas are good, but I wish they undercooked it a little bit or something (If that's even legal). I just think it would be such a nice complement to all of the crunchy crusted pizzas to have a nice, soft dough for the dessert pizzas. They just seem a little too dry. Maybe they could throw on more toppings and that would solve it. However, they have like a pizza of the month or something, and they had a dessert pizza that was straight dynamite! It was like a nice soft sugar cookie, topped with deliciousness. Lastly, the staff. They always seem to have young, really upbeat and friendly employees. Beware anyone who is cilliac/gluten intolerant. Although they do sell gluten-free pizzas, they will charge extra every time you would like one, on top of the all you can eat buffet that is mostly unavailable to GF eaters. Your alternatives for gluten-free are a mediocre (on their best day) salad bar or GF pasta that takes 30 minutes and multiple reminders to ever show up. When you mention anything to management, they will then proceed to talk down to you like a little child and say they appreciate you coming in. The food quality and customer service is severely lacking at this location. You're better off going to Domino's or Lucy's. read more

Craigo's (now Pizza Pie Cafe) is probably one of the few restaurants I would miss when moving out of the eastern Idaho area. Having said that, the place is less than perfect. First, this place is usually very busy. Usually busy with a lot of kids too, which can get annoying very quickly. I suppose that's the nature of the beast of a buffet, but this place is especially bad in this area. Don't expect a nice, quiet evening here. It is likely not going to happen. Pricing is fair. About $8 per person for the whole buffet with a drink (that you do have to get yourself) is pretty cheap, and likely the cheapest buffet in town. The salad bar is the best part of the whole deal, with plenty of fresh ingredients every time I've bellied up to it. Very well maintained for sure. The pizza is so-so, and only a little bit better than Little Caesar's. At least there's plenty of variety with baked potato pizzas, barbecue pizzas and more. Even delicious dessert pizzas! The pasta is definitely not the reason to come here. While it's passable, it is literally just simple noodles and sauce. Expect nothing more. Why would I waste my appetite at a restaurant on something I could easily make at home? Perhaps the biggest problem with Craigo's is their hours. They close at 8PM. 10PM would be more appropriate, because this place definitely tends to satisfy my night cravings for a yummy salad. Overall, good salad, decent pizza but bad pasta and terrible environment do drag things down a bit. Definitely check it out, if you can get in before they refuse you (seriously, this does happen) because they're closing for the night. read more

We really, really miss the original college-town Craigo's in Rexburg. That place was amazing. Huge, delicious pizzas and the dessert pizza was amazing! I have no idea why someone thought it was a good idea to mix things up, but here we are. We do like this place, though it isn't perfect. I love that they have a gluten free pizza option, though it's expensive for what you get, and the wait is quite long -- my family will have all finished and my GF pizza will have just arrived. I also like their GF pasta option, though I do wish they had more GF sauces. The kids enjoy the all you can eat buffet, and the dessert pizzas are still very good. I quite like the salad bar WHEN it's tended. Sometimes the lettuce and spinach doesn't look very fresh, last time I had to pick through a lot of slimy Spinach pieces which was kind of gross. I do enjoy the fact that they have craisins, my favorite salad topping! And wish they'd offer some kidney beans for the lettuce as well, and chilled pasta (including GF). My husband says the pizza isn't like, award winning or anything, but it is a nice place to take the family. It can be expensive without a coupon, and it's often crowded, but I appreciate it for what it is, and hope they stick around. read more

The one star is not due to lack of service or food quality. Let's just say if you want to take a risk contracting covid-19, go to this location. There seems to be an almost complete disregard for the well-being of the public. No social distancing, no mask requirements, no sanitizing, and they are packing people around the buffet table like a bunch of sardines. It's disgraceful. The only protections they have is oversized plastic gloves and a black tray to put your dishes in. With the gloves, you're touching handles that have been touched by so many people. Visiting from out of town and got the gluten free buffet. The pizza was good, but the dessert pizza was a joke. I went to the pizza pie cafe in Boise and I was able to get the cinnamon pizza for dessert. But, in this one there were only two options of apple and raspberry available. I ordered the apple and my sister got the raspberry. When they came out my sister and I were shocked. It was literally an extremely thin amount of fruit spread on the crust and nothing else. No icing. Nothing. It was extremely disappointing. I truly don't understand why any company would think that was acceptable to give paying customers. This place is funny. I enjoyed reading the history of their company that was literally written on all of their walls. None of the food is really that good. The pizza lacks some flavor and is a little doughy. The white sauces on the pastas taste like flour. But it's a family environment. That's why you came. The kids like picking out their own pizza.
