As we walked into the restaurant 3 employees outside smoking was 11:45 lunch on a Saturday. Finally they walked in Buffet was not really stocked 3 pizzas 3/4 gone, pasta almost empty and salad bar a mess food everywhere. Several tables dirty and plates laying around. The thin pizza tastes like paper but the thicker one wasn't too bad. They Finally stocked straws and cups and as we were leaving they put a dessert pizza up and one new pizza. I've been eating Pizza Perfect since I was a kid (12ish), when they first opened in the Dalraida Shopping Center. It quickly became my absolute favorite and has been since. Today I was denied what I always get because the guy felt like I should just get what he suggest which is a small pizza because what I want I guess comes out cheaper than a small one topping...mind you I always get this but he said they never in all his 23 years... not that they can't because all I asked for like usual is add a topping to my cheese sticks...he just refused to make it on this day at this time for reasons still unknown to me...I just got my full $57 refund and went elsewhere and will never return... didn't think I needed to explain why I wanted my food the way I did but just fyi my son is autistic and hate red sauce so instead of telling you don't add sauce to. Yelp is full of entitled "foodies" who feel some sort of self-satisfaction in writing reviews. Montgomery has a horrible reputation of "eating their own" hanging up on one persons bad experience and boycotting a place. Don't let 3 stars fool you here folks. This hidden gem cranks out quality. I am not that kind of "foodie" I love real, Local, family-owned businesses and that is exactly what Pizza Perfect is. Say what you will about the buffet, or maybe the interior needing a little makeover. I came for some damn good thin crust pizza and that is exactly what they provided. You can't get pizza like this anywhere else and good luck dealing with the attitudes at other chain pizza places. Nice little place to grab lunch. They keep a steady flow of pizza. They have a small salad bar that okay, I would go back for lunch and the price is not too bad either. My only recommendation is to clean the restaurant a little better the tables are sticky and the floors nasty. read more

I rarely if ever give ratings like this because every eatery does their best, but I'm sorry I had to do it. If you are passing by this place and think, "oh convenient" or "yay pizza buffet", please, let your tummy rumble and drive the mile and a half down the road to Cici's or pop into the Winn Dixie freezer section and get something better for the same price if not less. I was invited/suggested to go eat here for lunch by an old coworker (which makes me wonder if she was being funny) so I didn't think it would be like this. To keep this review brief, the food is less than spectacular. It you are into wafer thin crust and dusty, flavorless toppings, this your place. Even the salad bar had a eerie air of oddity. Roughly 20 feet of buffet for the price of a burger and fry...I guess you get what you pay for. Walking into the establishments should have been a sign of what was to come. Not that everything has to be new, but honestly, the atmosphere was that of a soup kitchen more than a presentable eatery. It's not the owners fault at all! It's just the location. I do enjoy the homelike appeal of seeing the owners kids on the walls because it will remind you that this is a nice, family oriented local business, but it's just not enough. And honestly, this place is not very kid friendly if you wondered about that. That buffet line is over 3 feet tall, how can a child reach that? I eat at Pizza Perfect at lunch during the week typically once every two weeks or so. The pizza is excellent - both the thin and thick crust. The spaghetti on the lunch buffet is outstanding. The salad bar always has very fresh ingredients with crisp lettuce. The price for the lunch buffet is very fair at $8.00 for an adult. The lunch buffet is all-you-can-eat and drink. My son and his fiance came to visit last weekend and the #1 thing on their list of things for us to do (after seeing the new Star Wars movie in 3D at the IMAX) was to visit a piece of Heaven on Earth known as Marco's Pizza. The Atlanta Highway location here in Montgomery, AL is special because it has been the home of the most amazing pizza buffet a human could ever experience. The friendly, professional staff always kept the bar stocked with a wide variety of hot, fresh pizza piled high with toppings and cheese and savory sauce. I suspect the boy and his lovely girlfriend looked forward to this far more than seeing me and The Hotness but I can't say I blame him a whole lot. It's doggone good pizza. So imagine if you can the horror... the crushing disappointment we felt when we pulled into the parking lot starving and salivating and found our wonderful pizza heaven CLOSED. No, not closed for the day, but closed and GONE. Shut down. Despair washed over us and our stomachs howled in protest. In desperation The Boy whipped out his smart phone and did a search for another pizza buffet. The only one anywhere near us was a place called Pizza Perfect. The day was saved! Not only would we get to try a different pizza place, it was one with the word "PERFECT" in it's name! Weak with hunger and with roaring stomachs, we hurried into the plain, unassuming pizza joint nestled in an out-of-the-way strip mall, paid a very reasonable $35 for the four of us (drinks included) and stampeded to the bar. Our hearts sank. There, laid out under the heat lamps on a dingy steel bar were husks of pizza crust lightly sprinkled... no, sprinkled is too strong of a word... dotted? Yes, pizza crust husks dotted with specks of topping. The ingredients were so sparse, sauce included, one pretty much had an unobstructed view of the bare crust on nearly every piece. With nothing to insulate the crust from the heat lamps, many pieces had a slight curl to them and biting into them was like chomping down on a stale saltine. The only exception was the pizzas with sausage. Apparently they had gotten a darn good deal on sausage that week and they had a surplus. So if you like sausage on cracker (no cheese or sauce, of course) you'd have been in luck. As for the rest, it was sort of a game to get slices of different pizzas and by the taste try to guess what kind it was supposed to be. We were partially successful because it all tasted pretty much the same. We didn't even THINK of trying either of the two pasta dishes offered. They looked as if they had been sitting there since the previous day as evidenced by the dry, crusty layer of noodles on top of what little remained of each pan and the dingy gelatinous substance just underneath that. There seemed to be a "take it or leave it" approach to the bar presentation in general. After choking down enough pizza husks to ward off our hunger we began to take notice of our surroundings. The place was mostly empty but ours was the only table that wasn't covered with filth when we got there. The floor was littered with crumbs and other rubbish. People kept drifting in (I can only assume it was their first time also and didn't know any better) but cleaning up didn't seem a priority to the staff. The wall behind the tea dispenser at the drink station was splattered nearly to the ceiling with brown stains, as if something frequently caused the beverage to explode from the container. We avoided it and stuck to getting soda from the drink fountain. On a positive note, the soda was very good. It was properly mixed, refreshing and did a great job of washing down the dry pizza shards. So that was our experience. Stinging with the disappointment of being denied pizza heaven and ending up at pizza hell, we left, but not before I snapped a few photos and vowed to warn everyone I could to stay away from the diabolical evil that is Pizza Perfect. read more

Buffets always have less ingredients on the pizzas than an individual ordered pizza anywhere you go. Every place has it good and bad days or times. Pizza Perfect is, in my opinion, the best pizza buffet in town. It's located within a ten minute drive of most places downtown Montgomery, and offers very reasonable prices and a great selection. Pizza Perfect offers a lunch time buffet, with generally 8 different types of pizza at once. They are usually thin crust, though they will make deep dish as well. They are very ameniable to requests, and will usually have the type of pizza you ask for out within 15 minutes. They also offer a fair salad bar, and unlimited refills on drinks. All of this runs just $5.50. There are a few minuses about Pizza Perfect, and they all have to do with it's location. There is very limited parking, as it shares a shopping plaza with several other stores. Also, there is limited seating available, and at the height of lunch rush, it may be difficult to find a spot to eat at. Also, during the summer, they have had problems with the air conditioning. All of these should be addressed soon, though, as they are moving to a new location closer to downtown. All in all, if pizza is what you crave for lunch, Pizza Perfect's offerings just can't be topped. They also serve as a normal pizzeria after lunch hours, but I have not eaten their other than at lunch. read more

We went today late in the afternoon between lunch and dinner so there was no one else there. The pizzas were fresh and hot and they were making five more when we walked in. I've never had pizza sauce as good as their's and their crust is delicious by itself!! They make the crust fresh by hand every morning and you can tell by the taste!! The employees are very friendly and they pay attention to the buffet and constantly put out more hot fresh pizzas the second they see one is half way gone. In my opinion they are the best pizza place in Montgomery!! They are a "mom and pop" place and everyone should be getting all their pizzas from there!! First started enjoying their pizza when they had the store in Millbrook also... I was sad that when I came back from some time with the Army, the location had been closed. It was the ONLY place I liked delivery from. Now, I work full time near their Montgomery location and visit often for lunch. The buffet is hot and fresh, friendly service, and their BBQ pizza is to die for. This is a family run establishment and I've enjoyed meeting the family. I love thin crust pizza, so if you like soggy and overly breaddy/buttery pizza, go to Pizza Hut (gross)... this place is not that. It's real pizza. They do a thicker crust that is crispy and tasty and light, so if you don't like thin crust they will do that also... but way better than those pizza chains. The only complaint I would have is the salad bar is hit and miss sometimes... but they try hard to keep it up and I'm usually satisfied. Delivery is hot and fresh and fast... I prefer it over the buffet but both are good. And they give military discounts. It's also my kids' favorite... they beg to go whenever they can. I saw one review about the height of the buffet??? REALLY??? LOL!!! I had to laugh b/c I don't want kids reaching the buffet. Parents should do that. My 11 year old can reach it fine... I don't want my 7 year old's hands on the pizza. read more

This was the worst pizza we ever had. The sauce must have been put on with a paintbrush....it was almost absent. The pizza on the buffet was cold, little to no taste. The staff was not very friendly...AND THEN VACUMMED NEXT TO US WHILE WE TRIED TO EAT AMD TALK. Do not waste your time...or your money...eating here. The food is okay, but I went at 1:30 PM for lunch and there was not much left on the bar. It was dried out and got cold fast. The worst thing, though, is they were vacuuming, sweeping up, removing food, and lifting the rubber mat up to clean in front of the drink fountant, and I am sitting there eating looking at all this debris they are cleaning up on the floor! It made for a terrible experience. The place is nasty and needs a face lift. I did not feel clean eating there, especially with sweeping up right beside my table and debris probably flying int the area, and looking at the nasty floor and walls. I don't know if I will go back. read more
