My partner and I were on a road trip and decided we wanted a road pizza. We were disappointed as the Pizza Inn in Robstown seemed to be permanently closed when we tried to call in an order. So we found this parlor on the map and gave it a shot. We got a classic large thin crust pepperoni. It was delicious! The place was cute and clean on the inside when we went in. The gentleman working the counter was friendly and helpful. The only (small) notes on the pizza is it leans on the greasier side and the sauce could use just a tad more garlic. That said, the crust was perfectly crisp even at the center, it wasn't too messy to eat in the car, and it was super tasty. We definitely recommend to anyone looking for pizza in the area or just driving through. read more

I do not visit Kingsville to often but I was here today and this pizza is delicous . I ordered take out 6 different type of pizzas , I'd say the thin crust is definitely the better one vs the original the taste is a lil different on the original. The cauliflower pizza is great highly recommend that pizza was nice and hot when I picked up . We stopped in on a whim coming back up from the Rio Grande Valley - and are we glad we did. We came up State Highway 281 northbound from McAllen, turned right on Hwy 141 and when we pulled into a parking lot to find a place to eat, lo and behold across the street as I looked up my wife goes "What is that? Pizza Parlor?" And so it went. Glad we did - super friendly staff and we each got a personal sized 8" pizza, and it was perfect. Perfect crispness, cheese-sauce-topping ratio was perfect and it was definitely a popular joint. The iced tea was also on point, which is important when you have to get back on the road on a Saturday afternoon on a drive to Houston. From greet to eat and close, Pizza Parlor has it going on with a smile - the owner greeted at the door, we had a lovely waitress, and everything was good the whole way through. I have to also say the decor was quite retro-chic, they had the whole classic car thing going on, a tribute to the 50's when you walk in, and it definitely is a place to enjoy some time, and certainly family-friendly and you get a real "regulars come here" vibe. Definitely worth a trip back in the heart of Kingsville, Texas. I've heard so many good reviews from this place, I decided to go check it out! I went with a couple of sisters, and we were greeted with the nicest waitress! This place has amazing food for very affordable prices. I freaked out when I saw how affordable everything is. The spaghetti is great, not the best, but still great! The pizza I had was amazing, though! I loved how much effort they put into their pizzas and how they make it with so much love and care. They used fresh ingredients for everything they served me and my sisters. The bread is to die for (garlic and the huge breadstick they served us). I can't wait to try more of their food. Biggest regret? Not finding this place sooner!! We are visiting S. Texas for the Winter and Kingsville was the only place to get our weekly fix of Za. We had tried all the other places in town, and the best ones we had were the fresh ones from Walmart....Ugh!! That is, until we found this gem. Being over a half hour drive away, we wanted a "take & bake" option so we could have a fresh, piping hot Za. When asked if that was possible, the girl answering made it apparent they didn't offer that. I was handed off the the Manager, Brian, and he saved our lives!!! I explained what we wanted and he worked with me to offer a par baked option on their thin crust, fresh made dough (another huge plus). We had the 13" with Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Mushrooms, Onions, Black Olives, Green Peppers & Pineapple. We baked it as suggested, and could tell when we pulled it out it was what we had been missing the whole trip!! The crust was a perfect bite, all the ingredients were obviously fresh and it made our weekly Za experience worth the 1 hour plus round trip. And while much of the inside was closed for dining, the throwback 50's decor was attractive and inviting. The '57 T-Bird in the lobby was an awesome invitation for a quick pic. Meeting Brian was an absolute pleasure, and it was apparent he cared about my request and my satisfaction. Thanks Pizza Parlor.....see ya' next week!!! read more

A must try for anyone passing through Kingsville, and for anyone from Kingsville, it's a place to support through tough times. I've been eating here since I was just a kid and it's never changed. The inside is like a time capsule, super charming. The pizza is always thin crust with classic toppings and yummy stringy melty cheese. Right now they're cut down to basics, so the salad bar is gone, and they could update pizza styles and toppings to compete with niche pizza places like you find in bigger cities. Maybe someday they could put in a brick oven or do specialty pizzas but right now this is a place to help keep afloat. Domino's and the other chains are going to make it regardless, give this little place a chance cause it's not Kingsville without it. read more

Family owned and operated for 30+ years tells you they're doing something right. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the pizza but it looked great as it passed by. Too bad we didn't see the Za until after we placed our order (sigh). Ambiance: The 1950's white Thunderbird, wall decor and music give the place somewhat of a throwback vibe. However, like most of the buildings in Kingsville the building was older and coupled with the decor gave the place a bit of a tired look. Service: Relaxed atmosphere allows patrons to seat themselves, and serve themselves from the salad buffet. The staff that took our order was very polite and quick to check up on us so couldn't ask for much more. Appetizer: The meals come with a couple bowls for both the salad and the pinto bean / soup bar. The salad was cool and fresh, a big plus on a hot day. That alone made it worth the stop. I especially liked the beans and corn bread with some of the jalapeños from the salad bar thrown in. We didn't try the soup of the day, which was minestrone so can't comment there. Chow: My wife and I tried the meatball sub and homemade lasagna. The sub was served on homemade bread giving a fresh crispy taste. The meatballs were also good but like the meatball sub sauce and the lasagna it was could've used a bit more spice and seasoning. I also think the lasagna needed more meat as well. Still everything was well prepared and tasty. Cleanliness: Floors, tables, salad and soup bar were all freshly wiped down. Neither of us made it to the bathrooms but from the condition of the rest of the restaurant I have no worries it was clean too. Overall: It was a good meal with great service at a fair price making it A-OK in my book. We'll definitely be back next time we're passing through...and we'll be sure to try the Pizza then. 3 Stars. read more

This pizza parlor never disappoints. On our last visit to Kingsville, we were looking for something a little different than the usual burger places. My favorite thing about the pizza parlor is their salad bar! While it's not a large salad bar, the toppings on it are unique and delicious. There's also soups available as well. The thin pizza was a little overcooked but the baked potato was delicious and the sandwiches were soft and fresh. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful with the menu. Unfortunately at check out the cashier did not honor the waitress mistake. I had ordered four 8inch pizzas and the waitress brought me three and one 10inch pizza. I asked her if she would still charge us the 10inch and she said it would be at the 8inch price since it was her mistake. At check out the cashier was rude and did not want to honor what the waitresses and I had agreed on. She spoke to the waitress and still did not honor it. Sad to see the cashier act as a child over a mistake by their waitress and then running customers away. Also the roof doesn't seem to be improved. The buckets and yellow caution signs were in parts of the building and moping up every 15 minutes. Every time it rains outside it's raining inside too.
