Decent pizza place known for their sandwiches. Was told that the quality of the food has gone down (for the regulars that have been here before). I didn't get either - just their spaghetti and meatballs. Pasta sauce was heavy on the tomato flavor and not much else. Meatballs were ok as well. Pasta was overcooked and soft - I liked them but maybe not to everyone's preference. read more

It's under new ownership and has been a hit and miss. Some days the food is just so wrong, just not consistent in flavor, ingredients and even texture. They seem to do a little better with Gyros and Texacalis on Fridays. Service needs a big improvement as well. Gave two stars cuz zi could not give 2.5. read more

Awesome customer service, clean place too. Ended up having the bbq sandwich and loved it!

We stop whenever we are near Kingsville. Food is always tasty and well prepared. Wife loves the Patooties, which are baked potatoes topped as you like and with imagination. I really love the Hero sandwich. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Staff is always friendly and helpful. read more

paid almost $40 for two meals that were incorrect and contaminated with chemicals . to start they took our order wrong and then argued back-and-forth about what we wanted rather than taking accountability. made us wait 10 minutes after we received our food for two pieces of breadsticks when we ordered six. then they barely served us any of the pasta we paid for and the bread that was thrown with it was contaminated with some kind of cleaning chemical or dishwater, made us sick , and made us throw up our food. Then when we tried calling about the issue, they argued with us back-and-forth, lied about grabbing management, and wouldn't give us a refund until we took back all of the food we spit up as proof. disgusting food, horrible customer service. read more

No changing tables, and nowhere in the restrooms to change my baby! Pretty sure it's a federal law...... The food was meh I liked it more before the new owners but the service was quick for a busy day. read more

Customer service was great. Food delish. Had a party of over 30 people and staff made sure we were taken care of, constantly checking if we needed refills and food did not take long. Highly recommend. read more

The cheese curds w hot honey is incredible and the usual Texacali is so good!! Service is always great

The Texacali's are NOT what they used to be. What happened to the hoagie bun? They also need to have someone that speaks proper English so that the orders can be taken correctly. When you ask for Texi Fries and you get a Texacali and fries IS NOT CORRECT. When you ask for a BBQ Patootie, you dont get chopped up breakfast potatoes and brisket. Sorry not happy with the New Owners. read more

Yummy as always! New bread used for the sandwiches and they are making their own potato chips. Really enjoyed it all! read more

Today was the first time I've been back since COVID. They still don't have indoor dining. My friend told me they were closed permanently. I called and ordered a to go Mexicali. That's when I found out they don't have indoor dining. The sandwich was as good as ever. They do make great pizzas and subs. Old place that has been around for a long time. It must suck to be a college kid in Kingsville and lose one of the go to places. read more

It's been a while since I've been to Young's so thought I would drop in while I was in Kingsville. It's certainly not what it used to be. The Texicali was disappointing. The size was so much smaller, the meat was dry, the bread was not at all fresh. Won't be going back there again. $14 for a tiny sandwich and drink. read more

Always loved the Texi-Cali, but it's Not the same as it used to be... maybe other items are better.

The food is great!! Service is amazing and very honest. I left my purse and wallet and it was return safely to me!!

No amount of interior renovation can save this place. My pizza may have been decent but the hour we waited for our drinks was unacceptable. Then we had to stand in line for 15 minutes up by the bar just to pay the check. I actually enjoyed my pizza and I wanted to enjoy this place so bad but they will be closed y the end of the year if they don't figure out customer service. You can go anywhere else in Kingsville and have a better time and same quality of food. read more

Worst pizza my husband and I have ever had. Stopped by here for dinner one day based on the good reviews. Cool inside, definitely a college scene type of place. However the pizza sucked. It was worse than the frozen kind you get at the store. Tasted like hard cardboard. We won't be returning. read more

It's a variety of subs, pizza, potatoes with different toppings, and pasta. Friendly place for the family.

One of the best places in Kingsville! I have literally been coming here my whole life, over 30 years of amazing food. Doesn't matter what you get, you're gonna love it! My grandparents lived in Pernitas Point on lake Mathis and we stopped here every time we came to visit them from the valley. I recently moved to corpus from Fort Worth and the first place I took my family was Youngs! My name is probably in ten different spots on different walls haha! If you haven't been, you'll see when you get there. Definitely a must go place! read more

I understand Young's is in institution in Kingsville, and I'm not sure what happened during the height of Covid, but I'm sorry - Young's isn't what is used to be, if it ever was. I've had two of their sandwiches in the last 3 weeks, and the 2nd was even more disappointing that the first. To start with I had their Steak sandwich: While I'm not one to complain about over-stuffing, this was ridiculous. What wasn't stuck to the outside of the bun when I opened it, spilled out as soon as I picked it up. The steak itself was dry and flavorless. And the bread was damp. After the fiasco with the Steak sandwich I thought I'd give them one more go. So, next was their Turkey sandwich; I figured it is difficult to get this one wrong. Well, I was surprised. The whole sandwich was wet and soggy, dripping with [what I'm guessing] was watered down mayo. The turkey [and the rest of the sandwich] was dry and flavorless, that is aside from the smell of pickles - which was overpowering and came from seemingly everything. I could only bring myself to take 2 bites before throwing the whole mess in the trash. The good news is that the service was great - the people are friendly and nice to deal with. I just wish that could have made up for the poor quality of their sandwiches. Honestly - Subway (gag) is actually better. read more

Super yummy sandwiches. Never had their pizzas, but I am sure they are just as good. The interior is cool. In one room, there is a huge cartoon-ish map of Texas. The walls of the woman's restroom is covered in comic strips. There is also a loft-like seating area, which is pretty neat though you have to go up some pretty narrow stairs. read more

Young's Pizza makes pizza? Apparently, they do. However, I don't know anyone who goes to Young's for the pizza. People go to Young's for the sandwiches, the "patooties," the atmosphere and the nostalgia! Now, I have had some great sandwiches in various sandwich shops throughout America (and even abroad). Young's offers Kingsvillians something that you would normally find in a bigger town or city. Its close proximity to the Texas A&M University-Kingsville campus makes it a great stop when you're a student who is not sure what you want to eat for lunch or dinner. A few years ago, I ran into a former student of Texas A&M-Kingsville in the Silicon Valley of the San Francisco Bay Area who noticed my Javelinas t-shirt. When she learned that I attended college and grad school at TAMUK, she brought up two things -- football and the legendary "Texicali" sandwich from Young's. If you're in Kingsville, you owe it to yourself to visit Young's and order a Texicali. I can only describe it as a South Texas cheesesteak -- with a flare of both California (grilled mushrooms and Monterey-Jack cheese) and Texas (jalepenos, jalepenos, jalepenos!). You'll eventually want to try one of everything. My only criticism is that there isn't much variety in terms of bread and sauce selection for the various sandwiches. I am used to visiting great sandwich shops in the Bay Area that typically offer everything from sesame seed rolls, sour dough, dutch crunch, whole wheat, gluton free, etc... Consequently, a sandwich can taste very different depending upon the bread that it is served within. read more

We have been eating here for years and love the Texicali's. Always eat here when we go to Kingsville. Scott is the owner and he often is working there. Back in Kingsville and can't wait to go get my Texacali (large of course). Scott Conner (owner) is the best. read more

Young's Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Kingsville, Texas

I've never had Young's Pizza but that's ok because the sandwiches there are killer!! They leave me mouthwatering for more ;-P. This is one of those places you get what you pay for so while the price might be a little up there it's worth every penny to me. Love the inside, every person that goes in leaves a piece of them behind adding many signatures and shout outs to others on the walls, tables, etc. (I have wink wink)To me it's a warm cozy atmosphere that has been broken in just right, perfect for tourists, college students and locals alike. The frozen yogurts are pretty good too and you can choose between chocolate, vanilla or strawberry..simple yet satisfying. I also like how friendly everyone is in there. I've never seen anyone not smile at me or be rude plus they are pretty quick at getting your food to you all while getting the order right..Two thumbs up from me!! read more

When you're in Kingsville, you have a lack of options to begin with when you're a foodie. Add vegan on top of that and you're almost screwed. However, Young's gave me probably the most substantial meal I had while in Kingsville, TX. While it was simply a crapton of avocado, tomatoes, and onions on a roll - I LOVE AVOCADO. Subway would never put this much avocado on a sandwich. Definitely not the best veggie sandwich I've ever had, but a very good option. Especially for a small town. read more

The Philly cheese stakes are the best in kingsville highly recommend getting some for family from out of town.

Great local spot to grab a bite to eat friendly employees too. Family owned and food is solid. Great sandwiches, potato's and pizza!

Horrible experience. Staff was rude. Food was over priced. I ordered a side salad for $5.09 and all it was is a little bit of lettuce and tomatoes. Pizza did not have fresh ingredients (canned mushrooms). Soda was flat. I asked them several times to fix the soda machine and they never did. We went to Whataburger afterwards. read more

Picked up a pizza on the way to the Valley. Fresh, hot and mighty tasty. Would have loved to try a sandwich but need something we could eat on the road. You will need to park across the street. Very nice waitstaff. Will be back to try out one of those tasty looking sandwiches! read more

Ordered the large BarBQue sandwich. Great sandwich- 5 stars. Not drowning in sauce, but sauce baked into brisket had great flavor. Bread was soft and fresh. Meat was incredibly full of smoke/flavor, was extremely tender. Pickles included for extra zing. 45 minute wait was a bit excessive- 3 stars. Parking is across the street at El Tapatio (there are signs for Young' Pizza parking). If you use smart phone... gps might direct you to turn just before (and miss it). Best bet- get eyes on and park across street. Atmosphere is College like. read more
