When I am in town, I try to stop by and pick up a "Nacho" and a "Campachana". I'm disappointed that the prices have gone up tremendously, I understand things are hard but maybe they need to reevaluate their pricing. But the two items I order are great tasting and nostalgia for me. If the prices stabilize I will be back. The ambiance, hasn't changed in years; a small air conditioned eating area and a small open air eating area. Simple ordering at the window and they call out your number for dine in and the drive thru; you can stop and see the menu but the speaker system is broken so you order and receive your order at the window. My favorite takeout spot when I was little (sorry Happy Meals etc.!). This place began my obsession with good carne guisada, which is hard to find in the PNW. Chalupas & UFOs are great too. Visited a few years back, and it feels like a time capsule; even the 70's/80's artwork is the same! Delicious food, great price and friendly service. The staff is always there to help you with your order and explain what the food is if you don't understand some of the Spanish cuisine. Casa de Tacos is a tradition for my family. I live in San Diego, California and my grandmother still lives in Kingsville. Every time our family meets at my grandma's house for Christmas or any other time, we always order massive amounts of food from Casa de Tacos at least twice. Its definitely not the best mexican food ever, but its still tasty and full of goodness. The chacos and UFO's are their main attraction, but they also have good tacos and a pretty decent compuesta plate. They have alot of other stuff on the menu, so I'm sure you'll find something you'll enjoy. read more

I had always heard good thing about this taco place .. On a Tuesday late afternoon i decided to check this taco joint out .. I have to say i was really impressed by the service and the food .. I ordered crispy chicken taco a ufo (a nice thick crispy tostada on top beans beef guacamole and cheese was the star .. And some sweet chips( crispy flour tortilla chips seasoned with nice sugar cinnamon .. I was really impressed by the cleanliness and art work on the wall .. I always call in my order because usually we have to order at the window or inside and can take a little bit because they cook your food from scratch. I absolutely love their Compuestas Jr., UFO, and the nacho chalupa. There carne guisada and enchiladas are also good as well. I also love the ice tea. It's not sweet tea so you will will have to sweeten it yourself. I wish I knew what brand the tea was, it's my favorite beverage from here. This place could be considered Kingsville's homestyle Taco Bell. Expect quick and delicious cheap food, but not exactly the best in town if you're looking for that. Their UFOs are the most popular thing, but do give their amazingly juicy, shredded chicken fajita and avocado tacos a try. The inside is not exactly a dining experience but there is a nice open window area with some cool art, tiles, picnic tables, and Christmas lights that's nice in the evenings. I think it has potential to be the hang out spot for college students, given it's a cool environment (just add music and guests) and very cheap. Give it a shot if you're in town for awhile- it's a place every Kingsvillian should have at least once or twice. read more

CDT has an item called a UFO. It's a chalupa, but not any ordinary chalupa. I don't know what the Taco King does to the shell, but it's the best part. All the food is awesome and you can get mexican coke for an extra added bonus. The only downsides (and this is after 19 years of not going here and forgetting what the building is like) is that you have to stand in the heat and order and then half the dining room is not air conditioned (with no ceiling fans or anything) and the part that is air conditioned only has small booths that will handle 4 people at a time (there were 5 in my group plus a friend and her kid so it was not conducive at all for a group of 7 because you can't move tables around). To use the bathroom, you have to go outside and around back to the un air conditioned restroom (and it was 96 with 90% humidity that day) and then the cold water to wash your hands did not work and that's just not good when you have a toddler. So, food= 5 stars. Building =2 stars. read more

Taco Bell makes better food. They were out of most food. Tried the pizza taco and it was lacking marinara and mozzarella. The ufo isn't amazing. The enchilada in the freezer aisle at the store are better. The service was friendly but the food isn't as good. Won't go back. read more

I ordered some food here but there was no flavor and it was to dry , my biggest concern was I asked about the UFO story they had there and nobody knew a thing about it I was very disappointed why keep a painting and tile of a UFO at the place you work and not know what it's about ! Went to Casa de Tacos today with my family after hearing good things about this restaurant. I have to say that I love the crunch of the tacos and the rice was tasty but the rest just mediocre. What really turned me off about this restaurant was the dead cockroach on the floor in the eating area! Yuck! If this area was dirty what does the kitchen look like??? Next time I will check the food sanitation score before eating there again! read more

Service is ok. Food comes out fairly quick. Food is not impressive. I would think a restaurant names Casa de tacos, would have awesome tacos. Not the case. I have been here several times and ordered a variety of different item menus and have not been satisfied each time. Save your money for something else. read more

Well...we stopped because of the rating. I was hoping for better tacos with the name "house of tacos." The tortillas aren't home made and the filling was bland. You get what you paid for, for sure. I probably won't go back. Being from the valley, I was hoping for better Mexican food. read more
