We came in for some dinner before heading to my grandsons game and all in all it was a good experience...the place looked well kept and the staff were friendly. Had some tacos and some flautas along with your chips and salsa and all good. Waitress was friendly and service was good...

I went here for the very first time as a Kingsvillan and loved the authentic food, tortillas and friendly staff. I've been reccomending it to everyone since then. Our experience eating here was great.

Aftermath of what was Crispy Chicken Taco plate lol, it really was delicious or I was freaking hungry probably a little of both!!!

Clean place, clean bathrooms, nice bar and the food is good depending on what you order. Don't order the enchiladas!

Drove 30 minutes to eat here. Arrived at 9:19 pm and they were already closed. Online said it closed at 10. Very disappointing.

Tortillas were dry. I guess they were not fresh. My father had a seafood soup. They filled that up pretty good.

So disappointed. Gross food. Greasy food. Small selection. Dirty. Not worthy of a second chance.

Below standard food; old, dirty facility. Seems this is an old Texmex chain. Won't make that mistake again.

This place came HIGHLY recommended to us from my family. They said this is where you get authentic…read moreMexican cuisine. As a vegan, that made me excited because actual Mexican food usually has less cheese and can be made vegan. The business is quaint. There was a friendly hostess to welcome us in and our server was very hospitable. We ordered the chile relleno without cheese, zucchini in pasilla pepper sauce, and mole verde off the vegetarian options on the menu. We also enjoyed guacamole and chips. Our server was happy to accommodate our vegan modifications and it was really easy to communicate with him. The flavors are just WOW! Hands down the best guacamole of my life. The sauces are vibrant and rich. Everything tasted so fresh. And the prices for this quality of food cannot be beat. My husband and I literally licked sauce off the plates to make sure we did not miss one ounce of that authentic Mexican flavor. This place is top of our list of businesses to visit next time we are in town visiting family. We had an incredible experience and cannot wait to continue to explore the vegetarian menu options.

Unfortunately this place didn't hit for us The floors were…read moresticky and the table we sat at was not cleaned very well. I based my decision to go on how many stars it had. It's one of the only restaurants in the area above 4 stars. The service was good the waiter was attentive and seemed like a good hang but the food was something else. We were served chips and sauce that was delicious no complaints there. But it was when we received our entrees it all went down hill my wife settled for the abodobo shrimp tacos because every thing else she wanted was out of stock and I got the taco platter. The taco platter only really had one decent taco on it the other 2 were lacking flavor and filling. The chorizo taco was decent. The asada taco was lacking flavor and had barely any cilantro and onion and the pastor taco was rubbery and had no flavor whatsoever so ever. Had to drench it in the delectable hot sauce to make it go down a little easier. The shrimp tacos were loaded with shrimp but lacking flavor. Overall I hope this place gets it together it seems like it can be a great spot if it tries hard enough the staff is super friendly and I hope they succeed. Food was rough but the server was great

What a treat to find in downtown Corpus! After great experiences at El Camino's sister restaurant,…read moreWater Street, we expected good things and were still blown out of the water! Right from the jump, our friendly server brought us complimentary chips with salsa and two sauces. All were delicious and a perfect holdover as we dove into the menu. I am finding that 5 pm is "early" in Corpus and the restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, but started to pick up by the time we left. For us, we didn't mind at all as service was attentive and speedy due to the emptiness. We ended up kicking off with drinks in the form of a paloma and a desert rose (I never pass up an opportunity for mezcal) and both were perfectly balanced in flavors. To eat, we shared small dishes including the Tex Mex BBQ oysters, tuna tostadas, and side cheese enchiladas. All three were 10/10 in their own way! The oysters (which I usually prefer raw) had such a deep and developed flavor I could have eaten 12 on my own. The tostadas - a fresh and bright bite welcomed in the heat of the summer. The cheese enchiladas? Simple, but executed perfectly! They were reminiscent of a local place I used to frequent when I was a kid, and have ever since compared all enchiladas to. Rarely do I find a good match, but to my surprise El Camino delivered. As with other businesses in the area, expect to find street parking and to take a bit of a stroll (absolutely worth it when you pop into other places along the way and make an event of it). Once you enter the doors, you are transported into a completely different atmosphere where you no longer feel you are in downtown corpus. The decor is fun and bright, yet welcoming and warm and there is plenty to look at! I look forward to returning to try more!

Food was great, huge portions so beware. Our server came by frequently to check on us. I drink so much tea but she did an ok job keeping it full. The dining area reminds me of the 80s but not in a dirty way, more nostalgic. Awesome place to check out if you are downtown.
