This pizza joint, confusingly named "Pizza", opened at the location of another pizza joint named "D-Pizza".
I was lured in by the sign "5$ pizza", which in this economy, was pretty alluring. The shop front has a retro feel, with the old school lettering, black and white floor, and vintage "San Domenico" clock on the wall. There was a selection of four pizzas when I walked in. I chose one of them, but was suggested by the chef wait: he had a cheese one about to come out of the oven. Two minutes, he said.
Minutes later, I was handed a PIPING hot slice of cheese pizza. I quickly lost the battle of waiting for it to cool down a bit, because it was really, really good. The crust was thin, the tomato flavourful and fresh, the cheese bubbly and golden. So I went on, eyes watering, stuck between trying to slow down and eat faster. Then I went for another slice.
It's Italian, it's good.
