Once the employee decided to get off of their phone (to which they immediately returned for the rest of the evening) we placed our order. We would've loved even some minimal engagement on our selections for the flight or acknowledgment of our choices or presence period. As someone who was worked on the service industry for many years I would've forgiven this behavior at 8:45pm but we would've been better off just enjoying wine at home given it felt like the establishment was closed from the second we walked in. The prices are great, when I was there last night they had a flight of beer samplers for 6 bucks and I had a glass of dry riesling for 4 bucks! Rad!! It's a $3 up charge for that service, but that seems fair to me! I really love this concept. So unassuming, a different way to take on dinner and drinks. There are only four coveted spots that are open to the person behind the counter. However, there are a bunch more seats behind the splash guards which protect the food.
