Incredibly fast recall on the menu of options and regular favorites made our interaction with the host super easy. After we decided on a family size veggie (feta AND garlic?!? YES!) I wandered over to the game room. You read it right. Game. Room. Over 10 arcade games and two pool tables were set up adjacent to the pizza shop. A convenient change machine located on the east wall got me going. Crane machines, Big Game Hunter, you name it! I was impressed and entertained. The pizza emerged so quickly I barely had time to spend all mah quatahs. The thin crust veggie pie was tasty but left me wanting more flavor. The sauce was almost there. The tomatoes were so big but that was it. Even the garlic just couldn't propel this experience to a 5-star rating. I think they might be better thick crust/meat options to make the lab flavors pop. Stopped in Deadwood as part of our vacation. Tired of burgers and steaks, so decided on pizza 5 min. up the road in Central City for lunch. This place is a throwback to my childhood: Simple salad, pizza buffet, drink and ice cream for $9. But that's not all--video and pinball games as well as billiards and a piano provide retro entertainment. It was spacious and clean, and the owner was friendly. Locally owned pizza place nestled in the Black Hills. Pizzas are large and tasty, and cheesy bread is fantastic. Decor is a bit dated and video games are old, but there is plenty of space to spread out and pool tables are available. Very family-friendly with a helpful staff. read more

The waiters are lazy and make fake rules that always changes and the pizza is burning hot also the ice cream is badly transported poorly because the ice cream is thawed out and refrozen. And I always find water on the floor from the fountain!! Also why is their a real rule that said a group can only get one ice cream sample or is that a rule that the waiter made up to be lazy even though we were the only people in the restaurant if I can even call it that!! read more

Great pizza place serving unique pizzas with a fun, family friendly and inviting atmosphere. Staff is aways friendly and willing to make your experience ethe best they can make it. They often take pizza requests by proactively asking customers what their favorite pizza is when they come through the door. Pizza was pretty good. We ordered delivery to our hotel at the lodge at deadwood. Took a little over an hour to get to us. The employee that took my order over the phone was somewhat rude and I felt like he was rushing me off the phone. They were out of jumbo pizza crust when i was ordering. That is weird that they would not have the pizza crust. The delivery girl was very nice however. If the call taker was more polite and they actually had the pizza crust for the jumbo pizza's (we had a group to feed) I would have given them a 3 star rating. read more

We were there during the day, so we didn't really get to experience any atmosphere or the game room. However, the pizza was really good. We had the lunch buffet on a Sunday. The salad bar could have used a few more toppings, but the pizza was good, and they would put out whatever kind you requested. There are very few places in South Dakota, nor in the Black Hills area, that serve top pizza pies. This place does. Their thin crust is legit and there construction is exactly what a pizza should be. This place is the best! We visit lead/deadwood twice a year and we eat here at least twice each visit. The pizza is delicious! So many different flavors, never disappointed! There are still some we haven't tried yet but are excited to on our next visit. The staff is very friendly and the service is wonderful! We have been in right before closing and they still made our pizza. They have a buffet and will cook any pizza you request, and as long as there are people still eating they won't shut down the buffet at the advertised time. So I was in Deadwood on vacation and decided just to order in pizza one night I asked the girl at the front desk if there was a good pizza place in town and she gave me Pizza Lab. I didn't expect much especially being from Chicago ( we are picky about our pizza) . Boy was I surprised!!! I think it's the best pizza I have had outside of Chicago. The crust was thin but not floppy and greasy like a NY pizza and the sausage had a nice kick to it not that generic crumbly stuff you get from the chain pizza places. The best. The awesomest. We were roadtrippin' from Chicago to Yellowstone with a celiac. Stopped to mine some gold in Deadwood and found this place. We got two fantastic pizzas, one gluten free. Both were fantastic They take cross contamination seriously, and my celiac kid didn't get sick. The also have a good beer and wine selection, amazing video games, and great service. They're totally worth the short drive out from Deadwood, especially for the celiac and gluten intolerant. Absolutely, enthusiastically, recommended. This place is amazing. If you are up in the Hills and want pizza, unfortunately there is not too much to choose from. I am GLAD we chose to eat here. We came for a slightly late dinner one night while staying in Deadwood. The place is really neat inside and decorated really cool. They have pool tables, darts, and several arcade games in the main dining area and hall. We did play several rounds of pool. They have a large TV which actually had the baseball game I thought I would miss on. I'm assuming the man at the counter was the owner based on previous reviews. He was friendly and asked us how we were, where we from, etc... Pizza was fantastic, just as good as anywhere I've eaten. We had one of the all meat pizzas and a regular beef pizza. They were both awesome, though I would have liked slightly more sauce. I would love to eat here again on my next trip. read more

The first time I tried to go to Pizza Lab, it was about half an hour before they were to close, and we were told they couldn't make anymore pizza because they had a dance going. The Dance Hall was lit and looked ready to hop. The next day my boyfriend and I returned, triumphant. They had a lunch buffet going and the guy who seemed to be in charge (I believe he is called Pizza Jeff) thanked us for returning and promised us extra large servings of ice cream after we ate our pizza. The buffet consisted of several pizzas, and you could request specific pizza from the kitchen, a bowl of cut lettuce with some dressing options, a soda, and the promised ice cream. After we ate and played some video games and pin ball, we decided to get our ice cream. There was a young man working there dishing out ice cream to a family in front of us. Pizza Jeff shoved him out of the way to scoop out ice cream, I assumed it would be to ensure we get those mondo servings he promised.
