Showed up for dinner at 7:50pm. It's supposed to be open until 9. The sign said open. They said they were closed and wouldn't serve us.

Make a reservation on Sundays- they are the only restaurant open in town. Great service, their decor matches the time period, and their food was delicious and came out so quickly.

Quiet little place right on Main Street in Lead. Walking in you know it's an OLD building. The lady bartender had a fabulous attitude and figuring out we were NOT locals, she made us feel very welcomed. I ordered the Buffalo Snot beer.... Actually very good. We then ordered their version of a Cuban sandwich, which was very tasty. Outstanding actually. The fries were lacking crispness..... the Owner was floating around and we had a discussion about that. She knew and was trying to find how to fix that issue. Overall, a very good meal.

Curry chicken and veggies over rice. Yummy

Must experience Being a 'local' we were aware of the new ownership but had not heard how experiences had been. So we took a chance and our experience was fantastic. The customer service was exceptional and the food was delicious. Try it today.

Awesome food, great historic atmosphere! Bartender seems a little underdressed but is a sweet soul. Go eat drink and enjoy.

Solid food. Good people. Had steaks and they were good. Only issue was the "deep fried steak tips" were pieces of sirloin steak pan fried.

My wife ordered the Chicken Primavera with gluten free penne, featuring grilled chicken, pesto, and carrots. It was excellent and easily the standout dish of the evening. I had the grilled salmon, which was cooked well and was also very good. As always, we put restaurants through a bit of a stress test. My wife has gluten and dairy allergies, while I manage Alpha Gal syndrome, a tree nut allergy, and diabetes. The kitchen was able to accommodate the gluten free pasta request, which we appreciated. The atmosphere is one of the restaurant's biggest strengths. The historic building and the old photographs covering the walls make for a fun dining experience and really add to the character of the place. Service was just okay. Nothing was wrong, but it also wasn't particularly memorable. One thing worth knowing before you go: the restaurant adds a 4% surcharge for credit card payments, so if you'd rather avoid the extra fee, bring cash. Overall, we will probably pick something else a try if we return to Deadwood. Worth it if you are heading there just for the historic atmosphere. It's a great stop if you're spending time in Deadwood.

Upon entering the place wasn't very busy for 2 pm and we were sat down immediately. Our waitress was excellent. We were advised to try the Trash Can Nachos which were recommended by some locals and even though they were an appetizer my wife ordered them as a meal. They were excellent. I ordered the Wall- Eye Fish and Chips which I also thought was very good. Our waitress came by the table on several occasions to refill our drinks. Another very average meal in an understaffed restaurant. We arrived, and there was no one to greet us at the hostess station. I had to go to the back to the restaurant to alert them that there was now a queue of people waiting to be seated (others arrived after us). Our waitress was very nice. I think she was the only person for the whole restaurant. Thankfully we weren't in a rush, but service was slow. We ordered a couple beers and sodas for the kids. One of the beers was not available, so I switched up my order. The beers were locally made and pretty unremarkable. We started with the game sausage sampler. They were fine but not great. Then my kids had their kids meals, and I had the game burger, and my husband had a regular cheeseburger. I thought the game burger was fine, although I couldn't really tell that it was made of any meat other than beef. So not gamy, but not really remarkable either? This is a sports bar in a casino. Strangely enough, two of the screens were showing a pickleball game. I guess that's a sport, but really?

They even have a full bar! This is a sports bar, and they have the cool option to have a half portion of an appetizer instead of fries for a $3 upcharge. My husband was delighted to be able to have fried mushrooms as his side. The kids and husband had milkshakes, and they were made quickly, and everyone loved them. They have a bunch of local beers. I enjoyed my Rapid City made beer and enjoyed a sip of my husband's Spearfish beer. I had a burger, which was perfect. The fries were good. I also had some of my daughter's hot wings. They were meaty and spicy. I loved them, although I wish they had come with celery sticks. Not a big deal, though. After a long day of traveling, we called to place a takeout order about 30 minutes before closing. The employee who took our order, a woman in a green shirt, listened while my sister and I ordered, then let out a loud, frustrated sigh and said, "Ugh... is that it then?" Her tone made it very clear that our order was an inconvenience. When I arrived to pick up and pay, I stood at the counter much longer than I should have, and it became obvious I was being ignored. The woman in the green shirt who had taken our order made eye contact with me multiple times but continued to act as if I wasn't standing there. There were three employees behind the counter, yet none of them acknowledged me. The only person who finally came over to help was a kind woman who had been sweeping on the other side of the restaurant. She stopped what she was doing because no one else would. I have 13 years of waitressing experience, so I completely understand how frustrating last-minute orders before closing can be. However, that's never an excuse to treat paying customers with disrespect. We called before closing, were polite throughout the interaction, and simply expected basic customer service. If taking an order 30 minutes before closing and acknowledging a customer at the counter is too much to ask, then maybe customer service isn't the right fit. Being busy is understandable. Being rude and pretending customers don't exist isn't. Needless to say, we won't be back.
