PK is our go-to carry out spot in Laurel. We always look forward to the pizza, wings, and cheesesteaks. Good, hometown comfort food. If you've never tried PK Fries, you must! They never disappoint. I'd also like to give Love, manager in Laurel, a shoutout. I was recently picking up a takeout order with my 10 year old daughter when another customer walked in. This customer was using very foul language over the phone in front of my daughter. Love stepped right in, recognizing the inappropriateness of the situation, and asked the other customer to take her conversation outside. ** Delmar store ** This was my second visit to the Delmar store. Other family members were raving about Pizza King so when the store opened in Delmar, I thought I would give it a try. The first visit, we sat down. The service was good, however the pizza lacked cheese.. pretty much down at the Papa Johns level. Second time, I walked in to place the order. Ordered a large thin crust with extra cheese (based on my past PK experience) and with meatball on half and pepperoni on half. When I came back to pick it up, at first, they could not find my order and there was a lot of confusion behind the counter. When I got the pizza home (15 mile drive), they put pepperoni on half (which was correct) and meatball on the whole pizza. My spouse said that the meatball topping tasted like what "dog food would probably taste like". No complaints about the pepperoni. The cheese was no more than Delmar Pizza or Milanos will put on a non-extra cheese pizza. The pizza did not settle well with me either. Was Pizza King worth the hype? Not really. It is better than Hebron Pizza and the national chains but no match to Milano's. There is definitely room for improvement here. I will chalk this one up for growing pains. Let's hope they can improve their product, get better sources for their ingredients and improve their service quality/accuracy. And as noted below, a hokey website... Have went to Pizza king before and we have always had a bad experience. Went to laurel Pizza King and got our seats. Sat there for at least 5-10 minutes, nobody came to get our drinks. Fuck Laurel, DE Pizza King. I have had it. The service is BEYOND slow. You'll be waiting 25-30mins EASILY before you're served. I've been letting it slide for over a year now, but the other thing is: they have been messing up my orders a LOT lately. Get rid of these teenagers who work there and don't give a shit about anything. I ordered 2 chicken Caesar salads over the phone and they even re-read the order back to me (correctly). I pick it up and just got home only to find out that they didn't put chicken on EITHER of them. I am tired of this subpar bullshit. EMS has been going to Laurel PK for years, mainly for breakfast. Over the last 2 years, we have lost all hope. It always takes around 5 minutes to get a server's attention, 10 minutes to get coffee/drinks, and at least 40 minutes to get food. Some days well over an hour. Mind you, they are not busy when we come in either. They have 3 tables MAX. We usually have some combination of cold food and improperly cooked eggs. The waitresses are always pleasant and we dont want to take it out on them, but we have drawn the line. I will not be back any time soon. read more

Sunday evening 8/28 myself and some others met for dinner here, there was one waitress , I believe her name was Zoe , she was such a sweet and kind young lady. She handled everyone she was serving in the dining room so well. She told us she was new to the serving side , and that was the best service we have received at this location in a long time. We had a negative experience a few weeks ago with a young red hair waitress and hadn't plan to return but I'm glad we did. There was no manager on duty last night so I hope this makes it to them and back to Zoe, the world is so negative , let's recognize the good things. read more

2021 Update. We ordered take out several times while in Laurel this year and the service was much improved and the food tasted great.

Well it never ends here , went in for breakfast , was seated , got our drinks and sat there for 30 minutes waiting for a server . People came in were seated and order taken . The customer told the server we were there before them . Waitress says you still have not had your order taken . We said no . She continued to take the other order and said she would be right back ? We waited another 5 minutes(timed) and never did get waited on . Would have never happened if Donna still worked there . She was very good at making sure everybody got served . A bad place getting a lot worst . They need to hire some adults to take care of a very bad business . To many young people that really dont care . I'll start by first saying I have spent a LOT of money at PK over the years, at their Georgetown and Laurel locations. ** Georgetown Location ** The wait staff at this location are great, friendly and courteous. However the kitchen has become terrible. They don't pay attention to customized orders. Example (no lettuce, or no condiments) and many times, ESPECIALLY for carryout, this gets completely ignored. The quality of the cooking at the Georgetown location has started to fail miserably. Under cooked boardwalk fries, also to mention that recently the fries have been discolored as if they are using rotten potatoes. This isn't your normal 'discoloration', I am talking black and gray potato all the way through most of the fries. The sandwiches are assembled as if a child threw it together. Their wait staff always yelling back to the kitchen on things the cooks have missed or have done wrong. They are charging way too much for putting out the quality of food that they do. I no longer recommend the Georgetown location. I had a few complaints in the past and reached out to PK via Messenger. My last/recent complaint got completely ignored by PK administration. ** Laurel Location ** The food at this location is better, there is some attention to detail when orders are placed, but again, they've missed things in a few of our orders which were carry-out. The biggest issue at this location is not the kitchen, but the counter staff. They have gone through a few employees over the years, but I think PK's training at this location promotes employees to be rude. I have multiple instances of very rude counter staff at Laurel. They talk and treat you as if you're wasting their time. Ask for condiments, you get nasty eye-rolls, you're placing an order, they stop you in the middle of placing your order to answer the phone, they look completely disgusted that they have to take the phone order. Then they return to taking your order, even ruder then they started out. Many of the counter employees here have major attitude problems, not someone I'd want working in my business at all. Lastly, this holds true for both locations, the cell phones..... Whether its wait staff, counter staff, or kitchen staff, its super obvious and most are always on their cell phones. There have been times that I have waited at the counter to pick up my order, and counter staff are exchanging looks on their cell phones with other employees, laughing and carrying on, completely oblivious to customers standing 10 feet away from them. I actually walked out the Georgetown location once because of this, just leaving my order behind and taking the loss because I was so disgusted with the level of service. That is my experience with those two locations of Pizza King. My family and I have spent a lot of money over the past few years with PK, but after the continual experiences above, we won't be back. And honestly, though communications with PK, they don't care. read more

We have been going to the Pizza King at least once a week for almost 20 years. Over the last few years the service and food quality have declined. We always get the same; a pizza with extra cheese and boardwalk fries. I would never say that their pizza was ever very cheesy however tonight there was such a lack of cheese that you could see the sauce over most of the pizza. Tried to discuss it with the waitress who just discounted our concern and then the manager reacted very rudely and condescending. He ultimately blamed his employees for being too heavy handed with the cheese by not weighing it on previous occasions. Over the last few years we have patroned four of their restaurants. Laurel is definitely the worst. The Manager/Owner would certainly benefit from some customer service training. The Pizza King is a good choice when you're just looking for some place to go. Best. Pizza. Ever! They make their dough and sauce and you can taste the difference! Their wing sauces taste homemade (not sure if they are) and are delicious. It's very reasonably priced, my bf and I eat very well for less than $25 with leftovers! I haven't had their desserts yet, but they sell Otis Spunkmeyer cookies! Yum!! We live 20 minutes away and would rather drive here than any other place closer to home. read more

I go for the subs and pizza fairly regular . I'd say the cheese steak is really good as is their thin crust pepperoni pizza .I think of these particular foods with the name Pizza king. Not eggs and bacon. Unlike Jason M. , I would find eggs and bacon in an eggs and bacon sort of establishment.Not a problem for me. But I will say, they don't have american yellow cheese, and are a bit on the high side for the level of food they serve especially on take out. Having said that I love their cheese steaks so much that I get to where I desire , and am willing to drop a couple extra dollars for the deal, and american white cheese isn't so bad. absolutely worth checking out read more

I WOULD RATE THIS PLACE LOWER IF I COULD! I live 2 blocks away and eat breakfast there every Saturday and Sunday, For the last 3 months or so they have not gotten 1 order right. I asked to talk to the manager. After 25 minutes still a no show the poor waitress was completely embarrassed that the manager did not show. I finally left The waitress did remove my meal which was cold when it got to the table along with the other 3 meals ordered. I call the regional manager a guy named Doug that was an effort in futility since all he did was make excuses for the manager who was also the cook Becky. This of course only makes the situation worse since she was the one who couldn't get the order right in the first place! I guess no matter who I talked to it would have done no good. At least that is the impression Doug gave me. Eat there at your own risk just don't expect to get what you ordered. read more
