I have been a Pizza King fan since it opened I. 1978 when we were rewarded pizza parties after little league games. Over the past year or 2 this place has gone down hill drastically. Food quality , menu selection ( no home cooked meals) and service have all gone down hill. It kills mento not support the place , but it continues to be a disappointment. Poor management for sure. We ordered 2 orders, one being a large pepperoni pizza and the other being wings for delivery. They use DoorDash for their deliveries. One was made by me which was never delivered, the wings were ordered by my sister which were also never delivered. We called the restaurant and we were inquiring about our order, to see if DoorDash had already picked it up, they couldn't find either order in their system YET DoorDash was able to find it and refund us. We were also clicked on by worker named Sofia. And she laughed when I told her she had hung up on us, maybe deliver your own orders and hire better workers that have better customer service skills & update your order systems where you'll be able to find customers orders. This is the second time that they've gotten my order wrong, not only is my order wrong but they delivered crab fries to my house. I'm deathly allergic to shellfish and could've went into an anaphylactic shock this is gross negligence. Honestly, you could drive right past this place and not even think twice about it. While in town visiting my girlfriend we wanted to have a good local breakfast. We pulled up in the parking lot was really full. That's always a good thing on a Sunday morning. When we walked in the wait wasn't very long but the waitresses were arguing with the hostess about a table that was sat and nobody took. The hostess, a younger lady, looked like she was doing the best she could; however the waitress, who could of probably been her mother and then some, was publicly talking down to her. It was very off putting.. I was really hoping this particular woman was not our waitress. Fortunately she was not; but unfortunately we got an equally unenthusiastic waitress named Tracy. Tracy did not seem to care about anything. I do understand that wait staff these days are very understaffed, but she didn't even bring silverware, didn't even say hello, just came over and asked what we wanted to drink. When I asked about the coffee, she may have even scoffed at me for assuming there was anything other than black coffee out of a pot. This is definitely not a latte kind of place, but I was unsure if they offered anything other than just black coffee. The customer service here is incredibly horrible. The only two people I encountered who even smiled at me was the hostess and the other young lady who took our check.. Started to see a trend here.. The only reason this place is getting three stars instead of two is because the food was decent for a pizza shop kind of place. I ordered a sausage gravy bowl and pancakes. It's very much a basic good ole breakfast. I'm sure this is a great place for the locals and I can see why. The cost of breakfast was also very fair for what you got. Hopefully things get back to normal soon and the wait staff can potentially learn to love their jobs again. Seeing that I am spending more time in this area, I would be inclined to visit again but definitely not with the current wait staff. read more

Great just like the other locations. The food is consistent and priced well. The portions are fair sized. I ordered a small chef salad with extra cheese and extra pickles. The extra pickles didn't happen but the cheese sure did! No complaints here. The hubs ordered a BLT on white toast and it came with fries. His sandwich was fresh and the bacon crispy. The crinkle cut fries were good a bit over done as if they had been dipped 2x resulting in a few very hard and inedible. ( not a big deal) They have some of the best sweet iced tea around. I wish they had the kind of ice that they use in Harrington. Crunchy ice like ROFO. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and would Love to have her again. Honestly been going to this place since highschool. Never really complain or had any issues and the food was good. During break I went back and wanted some PK fries so I called in and order it. The lady told me 20 min so I waited 30 min to go in. Then proceeded to wait another 30 min... for some fries. Pizza King was a really pleasant surprise for me. It's another one of those diner-style restaurants in this area that has like a billion options and I'm sure every single one is done right. I was extremely torn between the pizza and fried chicken. I saw many pizzas turned out, but when I saw a section dedicated to fried chicken....I couldn't resist. I got it with the cole slaw and macaroni and cheese. They waiter took my order and came back after a few seconds to say they would be making it fresh and it would probably take a good 20 minutes or so and if that was okay. I told them hell yes because I will always wait for good, fresh fried chicken! We ordered some onion straws in the meantime and I was happy. If you are in the mood for fried chicken....get this fried chicken. The skin was perfectly crisp and opened up to some of the juiciest chicken breast I have ever seen. I also really appreciate that a 3-piece white meat meal gives you two breasts, not two wings. Also throwing out there that it isn't terribly priced. This place is getting added to my favorite mac n cheese list. Holy cow it was good! I couldn't tell if it was homemade or not but it definitely wasn't the kraft equivalent that so many restaurants serve. The cole slaw was a bit watery for my tastes. It is hard to find good pizza on the eastern shore but I have found it. Plus the price was very reasonable. For the two of us lunch came to $23. Today this a.m. the breakfast and service and waitress were very good for our stop, not our first time here for breakfast and its never been a poor experience as far as food goes,sometimes they have boisterous public assistance in for breakfast that we really don't want to hear what takes place in their lives,you cannot tune it out and it becomes right on the edge of annoying, while enjoying breakfast but that aside we are thankful for them and appreciate what they do! So where do I begin...I am a frequent patron to several of your locations, however, Friday (11/16) was probably my last. We arrived at PK in Seaford at 6:45 and placed our order with a very pleasant server. She put in our order at 6:52 and at 7:30, we still did not have our food. 40 minutes is a long time to wait for a table of two! We left after waiting this long for our food and went to Smith's. In 10 minutes we had our dinner. I felt really bad for our server because it wasn't her fault. In the last couple of years, the service of several of your restaurants are less than adequate. Your establishment is hiring young kids that could care less whether they do a good job. We used to go to the PK in Georgetown but the service there sucks so we stopped. So delicious!!! You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. I love their huge, fluffy, intoxicating pancakes. My favorite. I also love their malts, sundaes, cakes, and pies. For lunch or dinner I like the burgers, hot turkey open face, fried chicken, and the fries are out of this world. Perfectly done. The restaurant is clean and the service is fast and friendly. When I'm in Delaware I go at least thrice a week. I normally eat clean, but this is my treat! And the scale always goes up to prove how good the food is.
