Pizza King brings me back to childhood when my great aunt ran one. I just wish the recipe hadn't changed over the years. We had excellent service. Great breadsticks and good pizza. No issues with refills, even refills to go. My husband aunt managed the pizza king starting in the mid 7os. His mom helped out and helped run this location back in the late 80s. He said it looked like the same ovens are still being used. read more

I love pizza king and I go to this location often. There are really consistent. There not my favorite location. But it's the closest to my house and always have a good product. When there dining room is open they have a pretty big menu for a pizza king. read more

An Indiana tradition, Pizza Kings! I have never had any problems with this location! My review is on to go only though. Great flavor, hot hot hot still when I got home, packaged perfectly, customer service taking the order over the phone and paying at pick was splendid!!! Ordered the same pizza we have ordered for over 7 years. They didnt make it right, so I called and sent the picture they asked and the "manager" proceeded to tell me I was wrong and we received the correct pizza. I explained I tasted a bite and can reassure her it isnt BBQ. She then in a passive aggressive tone stated " bring the pizza up here and we can make a new one". I explained its 5 degrees outside and since they screwed up they should send the driver to drop it off and pick up the messed pizza. The lady was rude. Not only was it the wrong pizza but, it looked like it had been sitting u der a heat lamp for half a day. The breadsticks were so hard and old I couldnt even tare it with my teeth and they were so hard it wouldnt even break when being hit against the countertop. THANK GOD WE HAVE GRATEFUL PIE IN GREENCASTLE OR QE WOULD BE SCREWED. read more

Pizza King has been a staple in the 'castle for as long as I can remember. It's experienced different owners over the years, but that hasn't seemed to impact that quality of the food. Despite being a mainstay in town and having a tasty BBQ chicken pizza, other pizza businesses have opened in the area, giving P.K. some friendly competition. I suppose everyone has their 'favorite' pizza place, but the King isn't mine. Despite having some tasty items and a fairly large menu (pizza, pasta, sandwiches, salads, stromboli. etc.) I never feel like I get my money's worth here. Note: they do have a lot of vegetarian options. Pizzas are thin crust and the toppings are 'thin,' too. Too thin. Bummer. However, they do seem to have the baking process perfected. My pizzas are never overdone or undercooked. Yay! Dine-in service here has suited me just fine; I'm usually getting in and out in about 1 1/2 hours or less. Wait staff is average. Restaurant itself had undergone a big renovation a few years ago, which really freshened the plane. bright and clean. Definitely a family-friendly dining establishment and great for larger groups. Ultimately my 3.5/5 (yes, I rounded up) star review is based on the mediocre food itself and the higher than average pricing (P.K. is a splurge IMO, given the pizza $ elsewhere). Pizza King wouldn't be my first choice for grub, but it wouldn't be my last either. read more

I love their No-Frills pizza and service here. I enjoy going in to going in to dine in, or to get carry out. They even do delivery. The pizza is outstanding. Thin crust, Deluxe, is the way to go! They also have a great stromboli! Their garlic bread is great too. They have a decent beer menu , and I really like the atmosphere inside. The customer service was just horrible! My son started working there (had only worked 3 days), and they didn't train him properly, and I ended up with raw chicken tenders! The MANAGER (when called), said she "Would handle it" (very rudely said this). I let her know the one she was going to "Handle" was my kid. I didn't say this lightly. Then today, he had a last minute doctors appointment that we didn't find out about until the last minute, and because of traffic, he was 6 minutes late. When I dropped him off, I called him real quick (before he was on the clock) to let him know I'd bring his hat back, and apparently when he went to text me real quick to let me know she had one for him, she then proceeded to yell at my son, after she had already yelled at him for being a couple of minutes late! Now if the owners are going to support their employee's being yelled at like they're someone's slaves, ESPECIALLY TEENAGE KIDS(!), (Oh, and she yelled at my child in front of other kids! How professional), then that just show's what kind of people they are! Oh and let me not forget to mention, this Manager, also thought she was gonna yell at me! WTF are you??? Wrong one lady! She also then tried to threaten me with calling the cops. Lady, bring it on. You will not treat my kid or anyone's kids like they're dirt! If nothing is done about this manager, I will be contacting a lawyer! Maybe this review will get their attention! Clearly they're okay with hiring people who treat people like complete shit! read more

We had an excellent experience at the Pizza King in Greencastle! The salad was FANTASTIC - tons of veggies - cucumbers, carrots, mushrooms, onions, radishes, the works! The pizza was delicious! The restaurant was clean and pleasant. We were just passing through, but we'd be regulars if we lived in Greencastle. :) read more

Been looking for years for the hand breaded tenderloin sandwich like they use to be. I've ordered other things before and have it delivered. They have great food but never ordered tenderloin because I was always disappointed when I would get it. So since everything I've ordered has been so great decided to try tenderloin. I was so happy I did. It was fantastic!!! Nice and the meat wasn't beat out so thin to make them huge huge all u tasted and had was breading. U can definitely split into for two sandwiches. So nice and meaty. So going to keep ordering here. Stroms, pizza, burgers just great!!! read more

Not a good experience overall. Or drinks were only filled once, and that was when we were brought a pitcher to fill our own. Which wasn't even enough to fill all glasses (7 people). The service was lacking in general. The kicker was when a salad that we ordered came out with extra protein in it... a dead fly. For a place with overpriced food, you'd at least expect better service or quality. I'm pretty sure this will be my last visit to Pizza King in Greencastle. read more

Three words come to mind. Terrible, dirty and expensive! Go anywhere else and you will get a lot more for your money. And much better tasting food. I cannot fathom why people like this place. Pappa Johns or pizza hut hands down better quality and better tasting food. Even dominos which is terrible pizza offers better value. read more
