a slice of pizza on a plate

Staff did a good job of keeping the buffet filled with pizza even with a busy lunch crowd. Pizza is nothing special and even with inflation buffet just seems a little overpriced at $12 a person without even drinks. The variety was good but when you can still get a large pie at most really good pizza places around here for under $25 it seems over $50 to feed a party of 4 ok pizza is pricey.

Dirty door hasn't been cleaned in a while.

Server Cierra got this place 2 stars. She was sweet and did a great job. The rest was awful. The pizzas were not good. Not much flavor at all, crust on the thin crust pizza was flavorless, super brittle and made the pizza seem like it had been sitting for hours. Ok not pizza with any flavor was the taco pizza. Also a thin crust and so it was disappointing. The amount of sauce they put on the pizzas was minimal at best. The pasta bar was ok. The salad bar looked like a rabid ground squirrel got into it. The food was not that great dessert pizzas were also sub par. What was worse for me was how filthy this place is. From the front door to the walls to the actual eating areas themselves. Lastly food gave me tummy issues 20 min after I left the place. Avoid this place. There are several other pizza places in town. Even little Caesars has it over this place. This was my first time here and will be my last.

Nostalgia anyone??? I saw this place on here, and said I have to take my family!!! The food was good, service was impeccable (Thanks sierra?) My only issue was that they need gloves or sanitizer on their bar.

Pasta and sauce hot bar / pizza buffet / salad bar

A very busy location on a Thursday around 12 noon. Pies kept coming out hot and fresh. Salad bar selections were all fresh - cucumbers were peeled! Ok, yum. I also like that there are a few pasta and sauce options on the hot bar. Bar none - cheese sticks and bbq chicken are crowd favorites and immediately get gobbled up. Pro tip - request a few pies you want and they will bring 3-4 slices to your table before they put it out on the buffet. Didn't try any of the pizzerts - just not a fan. Bathrooms clean and tidy. Like, half of Betsy was here as this is a very popular Pizza Inn location. Staff was ready - friendly and attentive. Kelley was great. I heard staff thank customers for coming in repeatedly as they departed. Best Pizza Inn I've been to. Will definitely be back. Lastly, to this guy who posted the comment below mine about .99 cent drinks - you sound pretty frugal. I suggest you opt for a Mcbeverage next time.

Server was rude and non-caring. Overpriced for what you got. Not very good food. Tasted like it had been sitting around a long time.

Super busy and popular in town. It's corporate pizza Buffett at its worst. Nothing good or healthy there. We are stunned how busy it is.

AYCE pizza at its best, IMO. Plus the dessert pizzas are a must try. Pasta & salad are also available.

There is one other restaurant as well as several businesses using this parking area so there is always traffic. Handicapped parking is limited with a couple spaces near their entrance and a couple more spaces further away from the door. You'll need to look for a ramp if needed as there is not one by their entrance, but that is not their fault. Walking in for lunch, there was a sign to seat yourself. The restaurant was slightly less than half full. Seating is a mix of tables and booths. There is a low wall on the left with tables on the other side which may be a bit more private or less busy. Most of the booth seats we passed need recovering and the general decor is older and could use a freshening. There is also a small bar in rear with about six stools. There is some background music noticeable but at a low volume which did not interfere with conversation. The temperature inside was rather cool and we left our coats on during our meal. Our waitress came by within a few seconds of us sitting down. She took our drink order and brought the drinks back within a minute. We asked for a few minutes to review the menu. After about ten minutes she returned, apologizing for getting distracted with bussing tables and taking other orders. It appears the restaurant was understaffed and our waitress was performing many tasks. We ordered two appetizers and two entrees. One appetizer dip came out piping hot in about ten minutes. The Buffalo Chicken dip was very good. There is distinct Buffalo flavor without significant spiciness. The majority of the included chicken was shredded as expected but there was one very large chicken piece in the middle. This needed a fork and knife to break apart to eat. The accompanying pita-type chips were warm, crispy on the outside and little puffy inside. The remaining appetizer was delivered about five minutes later, with the two entrees about five minutes after that. The Fall special Four Cheese Bruschetta dip was good. Three of the cheeses were well mixed and the mozzarella was layered on top in the middle of the bowl. Once this cooled a bit it was difficult to use the pita chips to dip any of the mozzarella so a fork was used. The fresh basil and roasted cherry tomatoes were nice garnishes. The Johnny's Special sub was fine but not really special. There was enough meat, lettuce, and tomato to feel it was a decent value but the flavor was overall bland. The onion, mayo, and Italian dressing were minimal to non-existent, at least as far as flavor was concerned. The bread was nicely toasted with a crispness without bordering on hard. The bottom of the sandwich did get soggy by the time the first half of the sandwich was eaten but it did not fall apart. The accompanying French fries were very good, crispy outside and tender inside. The Syracuse Stuffer Calzone was another decent value with adequate ingredients to make a complete meal. The steak was decently flavorful but there was also gristle (possibly grill scrapings) included which took away from the experience. The accompanying marinara dipping sauce was underwhelming. While the recipe ideas and flavors are interesting, the execution was lacking. The kitchen had an issue with the timing of sending out the different parts of the order although the entrees did arrive at the same time. Our server was obviously good at her job but was saddled with additional tasks beyond any reasonable expectation of being able to handle while still serving the customers. The overall potential of the menu does merit another visit.

We went for the "trust" pizza and a pizza with andouille sausage, banana peppers and half mushrooms. Love the idea of the trust Pizza, you just let them make whatever they'd like to make for you, may be a different sauce or any variety of toppings. You can do a "limited trust" where you, nix particular toppings you do not want. Pizza was fabulous, 5/5!!

Another fantastic find on our trip to Johnson City... another box checked: PIZZA!…read more We found Scratch Brick Oven and at first I thought we were in the wrong place because it's tucked into a residential area. But the second we parked, we could smell that wood-fired oven doing its thing. That smoky, toasty aroma? Instant confirmation we were exactly where we needed to be. Is this place fancy? Ahhhh... NO. And that's part of the charm. We went early for dinner (around 4:30ish). A few people were coming and going. You fill out your order on paper sheets and they make 12" pies, perfect for individual tastes. We ordered a plain cheese as our barometer (because you always judge a pizza place by the basics). I built mine with pepperoni, red onion, fresh mushrooms, and roasted whole garlic cloves. While I was trying to be subtle snapping photos, Theodore opened the door to the wood-fired oven and invited us to take a look. OMG. I LOVE a wood fire oven, and this one was glowing red hot. He explained the pies cook in about six minutes. They're thin crust but sturdy enough to hold their toppings once they cool and set a bit. Just look at the pics. Again... not fancy. Paper plates. Plastic utensils. But honestly? You could serve this on a paper towel and it would still be phenomenal. MIND. BLOWN. The crust is perfectly balanced and crunchy. The red sauce? Perfection. They smoke the meats in house, and that pepperoni was unlike anything I've ever had. And the roasted garlic? Absolute game changer. I imagine they already have a huge following, but if you haven't tried this place yet... put it on your list. Immediately.
