It's a pretty simple place, you place your order at the counter and they bring it to the table, the fountain drinks are self-serve. There were a few customers already seated but our food arrived within a reasonable time and was still hot - we all order burgers and crinkle fries, I choose the Mad Dog Burger, easily a 1/2 pound of fresh beef, jalapeño mayo, fresh cut jalapeños and pepper-jack cheese with pickles, onions, tomatoes and shredded lettuce on a toasted bun - this was definitely a delicious hand crafted burger and we all three ate all of the burgers and crispy fries. The staff here is extremely friendly and went above and beyond to ensure everything was as we ordered it and that we were all happy with our lunch. This a burger I'd definitely order again and a place I would frequent if I lived in the area the prices are extremely reasonable especially compared to fast food. Maplewood Burgers is amazing a local place I discovered in Sulphur, and I'm really glad I did. This…read moreis the original location on Maplewood Drive that gave it its name. This location seems like a cross between a restaurant and a convenience store, but don't let its humble appearance fool you. There's some great burgers to be had here! I guess we should start with the headliners, which are the stuffed burgers! These hearty creations have a variety of fillings stuffed into the center of the hamburger meat itself, making them a huge moist juicy and delicious handful! The variety of fillings includes mushrooms and Swiss; boudin; BBQ brisket; and even macaroni and cheese. These are a great choice, but one can also get a plain old fashioned hamburger or cheeseburger with toppings outside of the patty if one wishes. There are a choice of breads for these, so if you want it on Texas Toast or a Jalapeno Bun, it's all good! Then you need a side. There are of course fries and onion rings, but also tater tots and sweet potato fries. If you have any room left they have a pretty nice selection of ice cream and frozen treats. This location is just north of I-10, so it's convenient to stop into for a quick lunch. If one is so inclined, you could get an order to go, and enjoy a picnic at the nearby Maplewood Park.

McDonald's open and near the hotel. Atmosphere - Not rating as we used the drive thru. Food - I was not the driver, and did not want to search the menu for something different. I went with two cheeseburgers. Was informed by the pick up window that "Everything is cooked to order". Which I say is BS. Our hotel is in view of the drive thru, aka walking distance. My two cheeseburgers were at room temp and the cheese did not even melt. I think they took two old patties and built my burgers. I really do not care that my wrapper on the cheeseburgers were on the wrong way. So hungry I still ate those two blah cheeseburgers with my beer. Service - Simple. When we got to the second window, they told us to go to Spot 1. "Everything is cooked to order". We had to ask where Spot 1 was. They could have told us to go there immediately after paying. The person that brought us our food was disheveled from a long day off work. Future - I hope not.

And this is not the first time this has happened. I waited months before going back and it did no good. I have never had this problem at the restaurant in Orange, Texas and I have been there many more times than the one here in Sulphur. I love the food, but the service at the Sulphur location is awful. It's the employees that are awful and not the food. I will definitely be returning to the one in Orange (exit 873) but it will be a very long time before I even think of returning to this one.

I can not remember the last time I was at a Sonic. Yelp knows, I do not. LOL Atmosphere - Not rating as we used the drive thru. Food - I love a secret menu, okay their menu is not so secret as it is on their website, just not on the menu board. I had to try the Frito pie, medium, and a larger chilli cheese tots. A Frito pie is basically is chilli, cheese, and Fritos. Dang those Fritos do not get mushy. Those things were solid to the last bite. I was needing this comfort food tonight. Service - Quick and easy. The secret menu item was not even an issue when I asked about it. Future - Comfort food kind of place for a late night dinner.

A woman who took my order in the drive thru stopped taking my order mid sentence to yell at her coworker that she liked the song that was playing in the car that was next to mine. I was also alerted that there would be no fries tonight as they were out. I was frustrated and left. I came back the next evening and, to my surprise, there was only one lane open. I was told that it was to help make closing easier. How does having one drive thru lane closed affect the speed of closing? Anyway I place my order and am let known that, again, there will be no fries this evening as they are out again. I'm frustrated again at this point and say "Wow, two nights in a row no fries". And the gentleman taking more order says "Yeah, you gotta get here earlier if you want some fries". I've NEVER been to a CFA that didn't have fries and I've NEVER been spoken to by an employee at a CFA the way that I have been when I come to this location. It's so bad that it honestly has changed my opinions on Chick Fil A as a whole. I get worried going to other locations that it'll be as bad as this one.
