My husband and I each got a lamb plate that comes with a salad and rice or potatoes the food was fantastic and the staff are amazing, always asking if you needed anything else with a great attitude and smile Place really clean and nice. The only con I see is that everything is an extra charge including if you want some spicy sauce in a little cup is an extra charge. Normally they give you the choice of potatoes or rice with the plates, and they let us have potatoes as a side. The potatoes were good, but it's not difficult to make good flavorful middle eastern potatoes. I can make it better at home. The same goes for the shwarmas. These dishes are supposed to be packed with flavor and it was so so bland. I like Lebanese food for their unique and packed flavor, and that wasn't there, even with the sauce. Excellent, filling, and delicious halal food! They are one of the few restaurants that serve halal meat in the Lake Charles area, and they just opened in the past 2 years due to hurricane delays. They serve classic Labenese and Middle Eastern food. Their shwarma plates are definitely filling enough to last you for two good meals! The plates also come with 2 free sides. I tried their vegan falafel shwarma plate with rice (it comes with 6 pieces of falafel) and tabbouleh and baba ghanoush as my sides. You can also pick from a variety of different salads and hummus as your sides. My plate also came with tahini sauce and toasted/baked bread. I loved my meal, and despite the big wait time due to new restaurant staff being trained and some confusion with the orders of my group, everything was delicious. The restaurant is relatively newly built, so everything looks amazing and clean! There is lots of indoor and outdoor seating space and the bathrooms are very clean. They do not sell Shawarma meat, I ordered Shawarma meat, but what I received was definitely not Shawarma. If I'm being honest, it tastes like a really bad attempt at Mexican food. Extremely disappointing, especially giving their astronomical prices. From now on, I will drive an hour and a half to Zorbas if I want Greek. read more

I stopped in here with a friend for lunch on Tuesday. The restaurant is brand new and has a clean calming minimal feel to it. Even though they were busy, there were plenty of tables available including an outdoor seating option. Since it was our first visit, we picked up a paper menu located near the entrance and sat at a table to decide what to order before walking up to the cafeteria-style line and register to order and pay. I ordered the Lamb Kabob Plate Combo with sides of Mudardara (Lentil Rice), Baba Ghanoush (Grilled Eggplant, Tahini, Garlic and Lemon Juice with Pomegranates sprinkled on top and a Pita), and Feta Cheese Salad (Lettuce, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Purple Onions, Feta Cheese, Olives and Vinaigrette Dressing). My friend ordered a Chicken Shwarma Sandwich Combo with Seasoned Yellow Potatoes. My plate of food was huge. The portion of Lamb far exceeded my expectations for the price. The Lamb was seasoned well and tender enough that it had the mouth feel of eating Filet Mignon. I ate every bite. The Feta Salad was pretty good too - I once again ate every bite and I would order it again. The Baba Ghanoush was just so-so. I didn't like it enough to keep eating it past about 3 bites and would not order it again because I just kept thinking I would have preferred regular Hummus instead which is what I would try out next time. The Pita however, was soft and puffy and pillowy and warm and tasted homemade and fresh and I put some of my Lamb bites in it to finish it off because I wasn't about to let it go to waste. The Lentil Rice was a problem. While I did not care for the cinnamon sprinkled on the extra large pieces of red onion which I could have easily eaten around, I couldn't overlook the strong vinegar flavor that was added to the rice. I too add vinegar to my rice when cooking, however, if I add too much that I notice it and taste it, I consider it a mistake I do not want to repeat. I do not really want that to be the only thing I can taste and especially while eating what looked like such an interesting rice to taste. I would not order the Lentil Rice again. However, luckily, I was able to taste my friend's Seasoned Yellow Potatoes and they were delicious. Next time I would like to try the Coriander Red Potatoes. I also got to try a bite of her Chicken Shwarma and it was tasty, tender and delicious so I would definitely order that if I was in the mood for Chicken. I ended up going back with another friend just 2 days later and ordered the Kafta Sandwich and a Spinach Chicken Roll. The Sandwich was huge and tasty and filling, but basically tasted like a wrap version of a hamburger. The Spinach Chicken Roll tasted fresh and was super flavorful and was quite a bit of food for just $2.00, but it was slightly uncomfortably spicy for me. If you like spice, then give it a chance. They will even let you pick which sauce you'd like for dipping, but I'll be giving the Meat Pie a chance next time I visit. read more
