We ordered the signature fries, crinkle fries that have special seasoning on them. What we got, an order of cheap frozen bag fries. I would've saved the $12 for the 3 orders of fries if I had known. Not happy about that. Also, $7 in delivery and convenience fees??? The prices are already a premium for fast food. Then it defaulted to a $8 tip. $15 to get fast food delivered? $60 is definitely too much for fast food burgers for me, my wife and my 10 yr old. But I would've still been okay with it had I gotten what I ordered. Probably won't order from them again.

We arrived a few minutes before our reservation time and was told sorry there has been a mixup we don't have any tables. It will be 20 minutes. We could not wait as our son had an appointment that morning. So they told us we could sit outside at a folding table and get our drinks and place our order and they would sit us when the table was open. We said ok. After getting very hot and bitten over and over with gnats we walked up to hostess stand to see when our table would open. She was calling in a party to be seated. I asked why are they being seated when you told us next open table since we had a paid for reservation. She said ooops that was an error. She said but another table will Open in 5 minutes or so. We were so uncomfortable in the heat and gnats that we asked for a refund of our deposit. It seems as if The place is very mismanaged. The coffee is light brown water. To say we were disappointed is an understatement.

Brunch is serious business in Augusta and after one visit to The Brunch House of Augusta I…read morecompletely understand why this place stays packed. While in town for the weekend my husband and I wanted brunch somewhere unique to Augusta instead of another chain restaurant, and after scrolling Yelp and seeing all the glowing reviews we decided to give this Black owned, family operated spot a try. I noticed online that you can make a reservation for a $20 fee that gets deducted from your check. At first I was a little surprised, but after seeing how busy this place is, it makes total sense. We decided to roll the dice without a reservation anyway. When we arrived on a Saturday morning there were already several people waiting outside. There isn't really an indoor waiting area, so the hospitable hostess took my name and phone number and kindly asked us to wait outside. Later I noticed the sign explaining the process. She quoted us a 40-minute wait, but thankfully we were seated in about half that time. Inside, the restaurant is quaint and cozy with a classic diner feel complete with counter seating and booths. The ambiance is casual and welcoming. If you have a larger party, there are a couple of outdoor tables that appear to accommodate around six people, but personally I think this spot is best enjoyed with a smaller group. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and kept everything moving smoothly despite the busy brunch crowd. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles while I went with the Garden City breakfast bowl loaded with veggies and home fries plus a salmon croquette on the side. Every single thing tasted homemade and full of flavor. This is what Southern comfort food is supposed to taste like. My husband said the chicken was seasoned well and fried perfectly, and the waffle paired with it beautifully. My breakfast bowl reminded me of the kind of breakfast my grandma used to make, comforting, flavorful, and cooked with care. Portion sizes were just right,  enough to leave satisfied without feeling miserable afterward. Prices were also very reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. Stellar customer service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. If I ever find myself back in Augusta, this will absolutely be one of my repeat stops.

I also tried the fried catfish -- the fish itself was okay, but I prefer a thicker, crunchier batter. The lemon pepper wings were probably the best thing we had. On the positive side, the service speed was excellent. Our food came out quick and hot, which was definitely the highlight of the experience.

My food was not prepared to their usual standards and the issue was resolved. I have had the black eye sandwich which is a chicken Philly and fries. Both are usually delicious.
