There is a sign by the cash register (only visible when leaving!) that says "we specialize in fresh food, not fast food, so please be patient." It's an admirable goal, but not if the expectation is that customers will be fine with waiting an hour for said fresh food. Our sandwiches were good, but that may be because we were ravenous when they finally showed up! My impression is that Family's Main St Restaurant is primarily a hangout for locals to catch up with one another while waiting for breakfast or lunch.
