I travel around for work a lot and saw that the Sherman Pizza Hut has a buffet so I decided to stop in. I walked over to the buffet and got some breadsticks and pizza and was looking for sauce but they did not have any out there. I asked the server and she said it was 55 cents for sauce. Then I noticed the pizza was hard and crusty along with the breadsticks. So I asked if they had any fresh stuff coming out and the server barely set a word and looked annoyed and walked off to tell somebody they needed more pizza. I got up and walked out. Let me begin by saying this is the cleanest restaurant we've ever been to. This is the Pizza Hut on Texoma Parkway in Sherman, Texas. The waitress, Brianna, was awesome. She was attentive and not overbearing. She came and checked on us several times - just the right amount. Not to mention the food was great! We met the Manager. He sat down and talked with us. He recently took over the restaurant. They moved him from McAllen, Texas I believe they brought the right person to get this restaurant turned around. I would highly recommend this place. This location is terrible! Why do I keep going back thinking it will be different!? The cheese sticks are never covered completely with cheese so you end up with a lot of bites of just unflavored bread. Almost always never include the marinara that comes with it or the extra you paid for, plus they barely fill their cups up halfway with the marinara. Most of the time the pizza doesn't have the crust flavoring as requested. The Cinnabon rolls either dont all have frosting on them or they are burnt therefore do have enough frosting because they used more to cover the burnt parts. Most recently ordered 16 boneless wings, the 16th "wing" was the tiniest crumb, just a hard piece of breading but they counted it as 16. Pizza Hut has the potential to be a good restaurant but you have to have employees who care about the final product that goes out. No idea how the food or service is. My family went there Monday night and spent almost 25 minutes in the drive through line and barely moved! We ended up having to go to the Denison location 10 miles away to get our chicken sandwich fix and when we drove past the Sherman location on our way home; we saw the same cars in line that were there when we left. They opened a weekday buffet that was promising. I tried it the first week it started and the pizza was great. However, the very next week that changed. They just could not get the food and drinks out to the scarce customers. I waited about 20 minutes for refills while patrons scrambled for the few slices of pizza served. To top things off, they changed the price practically gouging customers. The signs showing the buffet price (which had been there for weeks if not months before the buffet opened) had been hastily removed, leaving one telltale straggler behind a pole. I understand sometimes staff doesn't show and off days happen, but the questionable price hike did it for me. I don't blame the employees. I DO blame the owners, whoever they may be. I arrive they know nothing about any of it. I go back home, call to complain and a loop recording to wait. I called the 800 number for urgent calls. I drove over 30 miles round trip to pick up an order my wife made online, asked when I arrived at the location if when handed my family's food, if that was the whole order because it did not look like enough, ( I did not know upon arrival what she ordered,) the kid at the window sad yes then threw my receipt in the trash in front of me, got home, was missing a pizza, called to speak with the manager, the same kid answered, was rude, and put me on hold for 20 minutes after telling me the manager was too busy to take my call. Ordered a pizza and breadsticks. When I showed up on Saturday at 530PM there were NO cars in the parking lot. Looked closed. It should be! Checked pizza in trunk of car, seemed fine. Did not check the breadsticks. Who would? When I got home there was no sauce. Called the store. Told me to come back for sauce. Thats 60 miles round trip! Called customer service. First bad experience was Easter night. We ordered online pizza and wings. After 15 minutes a payment was not taken from our card and no one would answer the phone. We called Domino's, ordered, they took payment, and then suddenly Pizza Hut took theirs. Domino's arrived before Pizza Hut, and Pizza hut took their food back after arriving and refunded us. I ordered online. It told me 45 minutes. I called the store to confirm the special instruction of cheese and peppers. The guy said it would be closer to 35. I was happy. Well once 45 minutes past and still no pizza, I have the benefit of the doubt and waited. After an hour I called. I told the girl that answered what happened she confirmed my order and address then proceeded to tell me "it left the store about 30 minutes prior and she don't put a tracking device on the drivers so she does know where he is..." I waited anther 20 minutes or so then got both kids dressed (single father of two kids) and took them to the closest drive thru. My waitress was awkward from the minute we stepped in the door. I ordered pasta which came with bread sticks. She brought out the pasta first, then about 5 minutes later the bread that goes with it.
