They were out of lettuce that was ready for my side salad but I didn't really miss it. Poor server had to tell me and it wasn't his fault. He handled it well. Two Cobb salads, two patty melts, green chile stew, one double bueno and two green chile wontons. Everyone enjoyed the meal. At the bottom of the bill it states the suggested tip amounts are based on the total INCLUDING sales tax. This is unacceptable. Probably would visit again but will not tip on sales tax.

We've tried Farley's several times, and despite previous disappointing experiences, we have continued to give this establishment another chance. Tonight was the last straw. We brought friends from Lubbock who were visiting us and chose Farley's because of all the TVs and the expectation that we could watch the Texas Tech football game. When we arrived, we were initially told the game would be on every TV. Then we were told they might not have the channel. Finally, we were simply told they weren't changing a TV. There are TVs everywhere in this restaurant, and there were maybe 15 customers in the entire place. We waited approximately 15-20 minutes trying to get someone, an employee or manager, to help us before finally walking out. The most frustrating part wasn't even the football game. It was the complete lack of effort to accommodate customers who were trying to spend money in your establishment. We weren't asking for every TV to be changed, we were asking for one. As longtime Ruidoso homeowners, we love bringing our friends from Lubbock here and supporting local businesses. Unfortunately, Farley's will no longer be one of them, and we certainly won't be recommending it to our friends and family back home. Customer service matters. Listening to your customers matters. With that many TVs, that few customers, and multiple opportunities to simply try to help us, there really was no excuse for how this was handled. We truly hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes some changes.

One side of fries and one side on onion rings. I placed my order over the phone ordering from their website that doesn't mention or show new menu. I ordered the food at 6:38 pm. I was told 10-15 minutes. I arrived and paid $41.38 plus tip at6:52 pm. And was told to sit and wait. I mentioned I'd stand which got me a lesson on bar space for waitresses, and not to block it, so I sat down. What attitude. At 7:15 I asked how much longer, and she said it's not done yet. I said I want my money refunded and I'll go somewhere else. She said she wasn't authorized to give refunds, she had to get manager. 7:22 she comes out rummages thru cash door, has to ask me what the name on the order was, then removes the receipt hands it to me and says it's been refunded. I asked for a receipt showing the $ was refunded she said no. Baby I know business was pretty rough over the holiday weekend. I know you aren't the cook, but realize this. I'm al local. I live less than a mile from your bar. We're all trying to make ends meet. Don't give me your attitude cause I live here and i liked yor food. I'll skip your food and hospitality! And my refund better show up or i'm filing charges. I can't believe what a crappy this experience was!

But lo and behold, k-bobs has a salad wagon. It is every bit what you want and a few extras, roasted green chilies and a great green chile corn chowder. I opted for the rellenos with steak strips, they were not traditional rellenos but still great the meat was satisfying and the chile spicey. They were on rice pilaf, it worked and thier beans are flavorful and satisfying. They have home made rolls i think are better than rodehouse!!
