I was seriously impressed (see picture) it was crunchy but not greasy, the eggs fluffy and buttery and the potatoes perfectly well done! We had breakfast at Tina's. Lots of great items to chose from. I took the breakfast sandwich which was a huge serving of sausage egg and cheese. It was absolutely delicious. My husband chose the sausage and gravy over biscuits and was just as pleased. Our lovely waitress (dark hair, very friendly) as such a nice addition to the restaurant. Chicken fried steak was ok, had more crust than meat and meat was a lil tough but it was decent. Didn't care for the hash browns, they were soggy. Eggs were cooked properly. Green chiles added a lil flare to the meal. There was an upcharge for the green chile and cheese. Great service, friendly staff. We are visiting Ruidoso from Tucson during Spring Break. We already know we like New Mexican food. This place has the best New Mexican food we have ever tasted. Tina's Cafe was referred to us by Linn Tanner (owner Tanner Traditions, an Indian jewelry store). The facility is very nice and I understand that Tina moved there somewhat recently. Service was very good and attentive. I recognized Tina from a Facebook pic and she spent several minutes at our table talking to us and introducing us to her new GM. The dishes were excellent. I had one of the lunch specials; an Asian style shrimp salad. The shrimp were big and excellent. My wife had chicken enchiladas which were excellent. The enchiladas were served in a different manner to us. Not rolled but stacked (3) and was a winner. This is our third extended visit to Ruidoso and not sure why we were not familiar with this place. Dinner is served on Friday nights and we might give that a try. In short, we were very pleased in all aspects and will definitely return. read more

We did not know that they closed mid-day and we were seated next to the restrooms. No one told us that it was near closing time. We ordered our food and when we were looking for our waitress, she was cleaning the toilet with bleach right next to our table. I called another lady over and explain that the smell was overwhelming and she said, well we are closed. She commented that the waitress cleaning the toilet did not make enough money so she worked extra cleaning the restrooms to make more money. The poor little white girl looked like Cinderella and the fat ladies standing around were like the wicked step sisters. What a bad experience and I will never go back. read more

After a short wait on a busy day we finally sat down. Honestly, the service wasn't too great. The menu was given to us and not much was said by our waitress at any other point. But the food overall was good. I don't know if you can tell from the pic, but the portion was pretty small. I ordered the chile relleno (a favorite of mine) and was a bit disappointed at how small it was. We had breakfast yesterday at Tina's. With all the great reviews, maybe our meals were a one off - not sure. The staff was great, very attentive, but the food was below average. My husband got a short stack which was fine, but both of us had eggs that I'm convinced were pored from a container and not fresh cracked eggs - also served cold. Coffee was ok. Bacon was fine. During a recent trip to Ruidoso we were drawn to this place by the Yelp reviews and let me tell you they were spot on. This place is a gem. While a little hard to find on the back side of the shopping center, the food and Ambiance was perfect. We got the No Name burrito and the Eggs Benedict and both were really good and more than filling. I really had a hard time finishing the burrito. Our server was always on top of filling the coffee and even talked us into the cinnamon roll which was great as a sweet treat later in the day. We will totally be back on our next trip. read more

The salad i ordered was the Spinach w grilled chicken and the garlic balsamic dressing was . Very fresh and delicious, very presentable, and the chicken was juicy, tender and delicious. On the door, 18 inches off the ground, is a sign, presumably for dogs, letting them know they are Not Allowed.... UNLESS they are service dogs. Happily, I don't give a flip about the silly rules, and Charles doesn't either, but the waitstaff needs to relax. I had the impression Tina puts cigarettes out on waitresses allowing a dog to eat off a plate, or God Forbid, bark! Biscuits and Gravy with sausage $2 extra? No, No, NO! Had breakfast here today. It's a very nice little cafe. I had a sausage omelet, and husband had bacon omelet. They were so big, and fluffy and fresh! The potatoes along side were very good. We each took half the meal home to have for dinner. The coffee is very good as well. Didn't have a pastry but the server told me oftentimes diners get a dessert after breakfast. Staff pleasant and personable. Clean establishment. I would definitely come here again. Watch out, the drive you think going to the diner is actually a one way parking lot. I went the wrong way twice with no problems but you might not be so lucky. read more

Came by Sunday for brunch before noon. Private parking lot available. We were told a 40 minute wait - but only waited around 20 or so because seats at the bar opened up and we opted to eat there. Food was tasty, portions are big, service was pretty quick despite them being slammed. This is a great date spot & great place for brunch! They serve mimosas by the glass or pitcher. To describe this place in one word, "Awesome"! The employees are all friendly, the food is excellent, the prices are hard to beat, and the atmosphere is inviting and relaxing! There's indoor dining, outdoor patio dining, and they also have a bar area where, when in the morning hours while waiting patiently for your name to be called for seating, it also serves as an overflow area to sit and wait. Speaking of which we were told (at 10:15am) it would be a 20-25 minute wait, but actually was only about 15 minutes before they called us. We were seated outside on the patio. With the shade and a nice breeze, it was very comfortable and relaxing. Our Server was prompt and friendly. The menu provided a lot of enticing breakfast choices, including breakfasts plates, breakfast bowls, huge 3 egg omelettes, biscuits and gravy, breakfast tacos, and an oversized cinnamon roll that looked delicious (to name just a few). I ultimately chose their "No Name Burrito". This baby comes loaded with bacon, sausage, chorizo potato, egg, green chile, cheese, and comes smothered with either red sauce or Tina's green chile cream sauce (I chose the latter), $11.00. It was about a 25 minute wait for the meal to arrive but the time went by quickly and it was well worth the wait. The "No Name Burrito" was amazing! Hot, fresh, loaded with the above described ingredients - it hit all the taste buds perfectly! I really enjoyed it! I was told that this is one of their favorites, and I can understand why! I highly recommended this! This is a great place (see opening two sentences). Thank you "Tina" and Staff for such a pleasurable experience.
