We were in the mood for some wings and didn't think we could do any better tee r than this place. Upon entrance, the restaurant was packed with people but there was no delay in getting seated. Our server was very patience since the menu did seem quite overwhelming, despite knowing we wanted wings. For starters, we tried the firecracker shrimp. The shrimp were delicious which left me longninf for more. They come in a small portion so don't expect to be able to share with more than two people. I opted for a 12 piece, bone-in wings split between the Gamecock and Spicy Parmesan. Both flavors were delicious. The wings were massive and I actually couldn't even finish the meal. This place has some incredible wings with many flavors, plenty of tvs to watch any sport, and seems to get busy so it has a great atmosphere. It took me way too long to try the gold standard of wings in Columbia, but it won't be the last.

I don't know anyone here in Columbia and am just getting to know the area and got recommended. We have a place in my hometown called Hartz Chicken and this rivals it (never thought I'd say it). I WILL be back, trust and believe that. Thank you to everyone at Bernie's for being so kind to me and welcoming me not only to South Carolina but to this gem of an eatery.

I believe they have happy hour in the price of $3 for their house liquors. The drinks are made well. The menu had a bit of a variety and it was hard for me to choose what I wanted because everything seemed like it would be tasty. After placing an order, the salads came out within 10-15 minutes, then the appetizer and right after the entrées. The food was hot. I ordered the egg rolls and the sweet and spicy wings. I wish the appetizer, which were the egg rolls, would have came out sooner as they were warm than hot, but they were good and came with a specialty sauce. It had a light kick but was tasty. The wings were good and hot. The sweet and spicy sauce had a good taste. I wish they were crispier as I requested. The fries were so good! Hot and seasoned well. The salads looked great as well but I did not have those. Their chicken club sandwich looked good as well and my sister said it was delicious!

We ordered $30 worth of pizza over the phone. The employee then said it would be an hour and ten minutes. The pizza was ordered at 6pm. At 7:45 pm the pizza still didn't arrive. The store was called and the employee said the food would not be ready until 8:20pm. That is ridiculous. We spoke to a manager, who confirmed that the pizza was getting bagged and would be to us shortly. At 8:45pm, still no pizza. The store was called and the manager said that our order was cancelled and she never told us that the pizza was heading out to us. The manager, Shelia, and the employee Destiny were incredibly rude and lied. We waited over two hours for pizza, that was cancelled without our knowledge. read more

The staff didn't seem very welcoming -- in fact, they appeared annoyed by even the smallest customer interactions, which made ordering and dining in feel uncomfortable. The restaurant itself has that classic New York / New Jersey-style pizza parlor vibe -- small, cramped, and a bit run-down -- but in this case it leaned more toward dirty and damp than charmingly old-school. Because I have significant issues with traditional gluten, I ordered the gluten-free pizza. It's made on a pre-packaged cauliflower crust that was largely flavorless and had a somewhat uninspired texture. The sauce was bland and really needed seasoning, and the cheese was simply... cheese. Nothing particularly good or bad, just very average. That said, I'm grateful that I didn't have any negative reactions after eating, which is always a concern for me when dining out. While the food itself wasn't impressive, it does seem to be a relatively safe option for those who need gluten-free choices while traveling.
