The Pizza Factory is a Mauldin staple- they've been around forever (expect for the hiatus where they moved locations). They haven't done many renovations to their current location- so it looks identical to the old Pizza Hut inside. One of my favorite parts about the pizza factory is the salad bar. They have tons of toppings and everything is fresh. The pizza is made fresh to order and is packed full of flavor. My favorite one to get is the supreme. Have been going to pizza Factory for 20+ years. Love the new location. It was a Pizza Hut back in the day. All employees are great and remember us every time we go there. Service is always great. Love they still have a couple machines to play. read more

I truly wish I could give this place negative stars. It looks like a dive & it truly is. There were rat droppings in the bathroom. I saw small roaches near the counter. I did not see them until I went to complain that I had hair in my pizza!! I should have realized it would be nasty when the exterior looked so run down. I try to not judge a book by its cover but this should have been a red flag. We walked in & the host was incredibly rude. Her name was Lydia. The man who came to speak to me about the hair claimed he was the owner. Well his attitude was terrible. I'm a paying customer & I'm showing you disgusting hair in my pizza & he just blows it off.... I guess I should have checked Yelp reviews first. We ordered a medium work pizza & garlic cheese toast. If you can get past the grease pooling on the top, the cheese was like plastic. The crust was dry & tasteless. The garlic cheese toast was greasy too but not terrible. The lack of cleanliness & rudeness of staff will keep us from patronizing this dump again. I made time google this. Pizza factory has changed hands. I was not aware until eating my pizza. It tasted different. The crust seem thinner /seems to have no sauce because in picking up every slice the contents fell out. To make matters worse it was a small. If have been a patron for about 30 years. I want to send kudos to the owner of this establishment, you have a very good coordinated operation running here. The food was superb. It's definitely not the old pizza factory (the owner closed and the new owners bought from her.) The sauce and crust used to be so sweet and now it's kind of bland. There's days where it reminds me of the old PF and then there's days where I'm super disappointed because this used to be the best pizza ever. I live out of state and been coming here for decades, it was always the best pizza, I was sad when they closed but very happy when they reopened, I went the other day and the place was empty I received my pizza and it was the first time I could truly tell that this was a new owner, new everything. My pizza was dry, no flavor just not the same. I ate two slices and threw it away. I ordered my pie walking out the airport I couldn't wait to get my favorite pizza, upon tasting it I was wondering what am I going to get for dinner? The four stars are for the pizza. The pizza is great. We like the pizza, hate the atmosphere. They allow smoking and it heavily hangs in the air. I've been coming here forever. The pizza is okay, I think it's more about the nostalgia for me. Last night I went to pick up my food and they had a puppy in the KITCHEN. I am a dog lover and I understand but they were passing this puppy around while making food and that was not sanitary at all. They also don't wear masks. It looks the same as it did when my mom took me and my brothers there after kindergarten, 24 years ago. The food hasn't changed. Actually, it never changes. Pizza Factory has perfected consistency. In all the years I've been going, the portions have remained the same and the prices are unbeatable. I can honestly say that the lunch special I got yesterday was a perfect clone of the one I got 15 years ago. So many places these days cut corners and find ways to charge more for less, but not this place. If you're one of those people who are always looking for the perfect New York style pizza, then this place is not for you -- don't expect that. Pizza Factory's pizza is a unique creation. My favorite is The Works, which (from the bottom) is a soft medium crust, sweeter sauce, layer of beef and sausage, layer of onions, olives, and mushrooms, all covered with a thick layer of cheese. A personal pan is the perfect size and is big enough that you will have to loosen your belt a notch after consuming it. I'm not going to take away a star for the smoking. This location is closed but Pizza Factory re-opened down the street in Mauldin. It is now located in the old Pizza Hut building next to the Post Office. The pizza was always good but right before they closed the old location, the prices went way up. We haven't tried the new location yet but we will. Hope the prices aren't sky high..... read more

The Pizza Factory opened sometime in the 1970's and I don't know if they have updated the place since. Doesn't matter. The people are super friendly and the pizza is excellent. It's not New York style or Chicago style or even Pizza Hut/domino's style, it just the Pizza Factory and for the last 30 years I have enjoyed their pizza.
