During my recent trip to London we had struggled to find places to eat that everyone in the group would be okay with and enjoy. Not everyone was adventurous, and some were downright picky. We passed by several location of Pizza Express and were intrigued, so on our final day there we stopped by to see what it was all about.
Coming from the states, having "Express" in the name of any restaurant immediately brings to mind "fast food" "low quality" "greasy" "blah", but this establishment couldn't be any further from that.
The menu was expansive, with pizzas ranging from the "American Hot" to the Margherita. Everything was freshly made to order, flavorful, and affordable. I ordered from the "Leggera" menu, which was a list of lightened up options and it was great. The tomato and mozzarella appetizer was good as well.
The staff were attentive, polite, and eager to make sure everything was exactly what we wanted it to be.
Two thumbs up. read more
