An area known for its wealth and prestige! I am proud to admit that I recently meet some friends at Pizza express after a great wander through the Luxury shops in Knightsbridge. As I tend to find with pizza Express they do mould into the area of which they are situated, they are what I would call flexible. This particular restaurant is quite spacious and our waiter was extremely charming. We sat at a round table and were waited on all evening. The decor was standard pizza express, wooden floors, wooden table and chairs quite minimalistic with paintings and decorations but nice. I would definitely go again as it didn't have the rushed 'in and out' feeling of other Pizza Express's I have been too - much more relaxed and slower pace. read more

I give this place a 5 star mainly because of the service we received from our waiter (a tall, slim gentleman), who paid a special attention to us and was extremely helpful once he found out we were not familiar with the city. He was funny, friendly and helped us out with finding a ride back to our hotel. We stopped here after our visit to the Harrods shopping center, and we were so glad we did! Pizza Express is kind of the British equivalent of an Applebees or Chili's type place yet with a very different vibe and much simpler and nicer decor. I make the comparison to show that is a reliable food option when busy in the city. As mentioned, once you've been to one you've been to them all. the pizza isn't bad, honestly and eating pizza with a fork and knife is worth doing since you're in London after all. if you can't beat 'em join 'em. lost and hungry and happen to stumble upon a PizzaExpress? hard to go wrong. ps great for kids read more

We ate at this Pizza Express branch with our two kids (aged 3 and 5) six months ago and have nothing but praise for the place. Let me start off by saying I like the Pizza Express brand. Despite being a pizza chain, they're serious about their food and what goes into it -- and it shows in the quality of their finished product. Their attitude to children is also commendable -- they seek to educate about food as well as entertain, for example eschewing tie-ups with film releases in favour of chef's hats and design-your-own-pizza type activities. This branch was great. What impressed us most was the care and attention they showed our children. Some places we've been to seem to treat our kids as an unfortunate distraction; not this place. The kids loved the attention, and the meal went down a treat. The restaurant itself was a bit cramped but was pleasantly set out; the decor was good and the service efficient. It's not the easiest to find, but don't let that put you off! Although pricier than some other Pizza chains it's worth paying the extra for the quality we got. All in all, an excellent establishment: highly recommended. read more

The food is about average, the drinks are pretty good though. Now the service on the other hand is deplorable we were told that an item containing nuts was nut free. We were also told the bathrooms were down one flight of stairs though a member of our group was chastised for using those stairs. The resteraunt is filthy and the bathrooms could make someone seriously sick and the journey their is and I kid you not 3 flights of stairs 5 doorways and an uncomfortable time getting out of your seat the restaurant is not as good as any of its counterparts. i am a pizza express paid up club member and a big a fan (the fleet pizza express is great) however i visited the beachamp place branch of pizza express and was dismayed at the quality of food. Tagging along we had our two children and buggy and were promptly forced to go to the basement area with the buggy down some steps. we were quickly attended to by our waitress for our visit (thats got you one star).the drinks were served at room temperature and we were also given the wrong drinks (there was a bit of a language barrier with the waitress) we ordered and waited 30 minutes for our pizzas to arrive.the pizzas were cold,the base was like rock,and tomato base was very sparse (about 2 " away from the edge)We never saw the waitress again until another hour (they werent busy)making it impossible to complain when payment time arrived i handed over my bank card and loyalty card,when the waitress returned, i got my bank card back but no loyalty card (with eight stamps on) we then proceeded to try and make her understand that the loyalty card was missing,she denied ever receiving it. i have complained to pizza express direct but had no response in the past two weeks.all in all i would say avoid this pizza express in beachamp place.disappointing to say the least. read more

This pizza express is quite small. There are two floors and the downstairs is rather dark, I personally prefer to sit on the top floor where you can see the chefs cook your meal. The staff are friendly and the food is good. Pizza Express is my favourite Italian chain in London and it's always great value read more

Meh... pizza was fine, though undercooked and soggy bottom. The service was very good and the staff were very friendly. I came with a big crowd and I think that it would have been easier both for the chef and the customer if there would have been bigger pizzas for sharing, the quality would be better as well. read more

VERY TERRIBLE experience. I've been being ignoring for over 20 mins. no one comes. I shake hand to waiters and the yong lady just pass by me. I have to go to find her and be treated RUDELY. never seen such RUDE waiters befor. defintly not come anymore. If you want to see what is real rude, come here they wont let you down. read more

in short: NO GO FOR GLUTENFREE!! BEWARE!! in long: came here to finally have some gluten free pizza in London. Dont do it. It says on website and menu that all pizzas are available glutenfree. We ordered the "Soho 65" to share, most times a whole pizza is good to share we thought. We also ordered some "Potato Nocciola": Golden fluffy potato balls, baked in our ovens, finished with Gran Milano cheese and fresh parsley. They where cold, unfrozen and deep fried for sure, tasted really boring and the cheese was almost not visible. As we got our order, we were kind of shocked. The waiter didn't feel quite comfortable as well when she slowly asked us if everything was okay. We didn't tell her it was not, cause its not her fault. but she could probably read our faces. Heres the description in the menu of our pizza: Mozzarella and tomato with black olives and garlic oil finished with rocket, shaved Gran Milano cheese, torn buffalo mozzarella and extra virgin olive oil What we got was a gummy raw cold dough circle, half as big as a normal pizza with tomatoe sauce, some cheese and 5 black whole olives. Thats it. It was almost not chewable, I wonder if they even baked it. And for that we paid the normal price of almost £16. Please. Just dont do that to yourself. It was aweful. Im just happy we could laugh about it and make the best of the situation. Would have liked to go up to the kitchen and show the cook how its done though. Its not that hard, we do it at home all the time. No idea why restaurants have such problems, they just dont try. And they could have gotten right at least the toppings, dont you think? This place has the worst web site ever, which starts a miserable customer experience. The web site completely blocks you from actually talking to anybody at the restaurant. So we ordered online, which required an account setup -- so now they have all my info -- and then after this laborious experience we placed an order. Credit card was declined. Tried twice again. Declined twice again. Called the card company; the bank was seeing nothing and wasn't declining anything. Web site indicated order was placed. So I went to Beauchamp Place restaurant location. No order in the restaurant's system. Plus the kitchen had run out of two of the things we ordered. So we compromised and placed an alternative order. Wait staff was unconcerned with any of these issues. Said we would have our order in 15 minutes. 35 minutes later we got it. Paid with the card that was declined online. No problems when using in person. Tried to describe the web problems to restaurant staff. "Not our job." And the food? Not worth all this effort. Charred ashy tasting pizza crust, generally plain food, way too much tomato paste. All this for £29. Better food available from every other pizza chain out there. An expensive lesson. I would post this with NO stars if the Yelp system allowed. read more
