Loved it and debated getting another one soon after - Apple Jack (5/5): I don't have too much of a sweet tooth but this was a very nice treat! The apple slices were juicy and the bread / biscuit was soft. Not crumbly which is a win in my books! - Chocolate Cupcake with cream frosting on top (5/5) as my kiddo demolished it without us trying...that should definitely say something about the taste! - Iced Latte (5/5): always a good pick me up, especially on a sunny day! Service was fast and staff were super friendly (and patient). The cafe was cute with a few tables inside and out. On a nice day sitting by the lawn enjoying your drink and eateries is such a perk! Overall we enjoyed our time eating the baked goods here!

The chocolate cake was nothing short of decadent. It was fudgy and delicious! The raspberry scone was also delicious. I loved the crunchier parts while my mom loved the middle. All of the employees were very kind and helpful even though there was a long line. There are only a few small tables to sit at, so you may not have a place to sit and enjoy your treat.

I guess my expectations were a little too high and my eyes ordered more than I should have. Ordered 2 cinnamon rolls and a long John. I was quite disappointed in both. The cinnamon rolls were quite dry and not enough ooey gooey cinnamon, butter and sugar filling. The frosting doesn't quite melt either. It was only when you got to the center was when the cinnamon rolls were soft with filling. The other parts are just dry and flavorless. The long John was also underwhelming. They used the same frosting as the cinnamon rolls inside the long John. I guess I'm used to more of a custard filling. Sadly, I'm still in search of a great cinnamon roll in Whistler.

Crêpes for Thanksgiving [Whistler, BC Canada]…read more Located in the heart of Whistler Village we came across Hot Buns Bakery while strolling along the walkways and decided to stop by. Inside is cozy and busy. Luckily, we were able to get the last table. This is a counter service restaurant. They will call your name when food is ready. There was no sign but looks like we bus our own table too and place dirty dishes and silverware in a plastic bucket. Although they are famous for their cinnamon buns we opted to try their crêpes and got one each from their sweet and savoury options: "Breakfast" savory crepe which includes egg, Black Forest ham, mozzarella and balsamic glaze. I dunno but it was a bit too salty for my taste. "NSB" for the sweet crepe: Nutella, strawberry, banana, whipped cream and chocolate sauce. Now this was yummy! They also offer sandwiches and waffles, croissants, vegan pecan bars, brownies and other sweet treats. The chocolate croissant was warm and delicious. This hotel disappointed on every front…read more Prior to our visit, I called on three occasions, trying to get information about guides and experiences. I spoke to two different concierges (whoever answered the mainline each time I called claimed to be one). I was shocked to find the concierges spoke down to me, failed to listen to me when I was asking for information - substituting instead their assumptions of what they thought I was going to ask for, and insultingly tried to explain to me how websites and phones worked. In addition, they appeared to lack any independent knowledge about who to contact for what. Instead, they would refer me to Google. Had Google answered my questions, I would not have had to call the concierges in the first place. Twenty-four hours before we were to arrive, we learned we could not travel to Canada because our 4.5 month old puppy would not be allowed back into the US until she was 6 months old. I tried to find puppy care on this short notice, but could not. I immediately called bookings.com for help, and they said they were happy to refund me, but Pan Pacific had to approved it before they could do so. Bookings.com wrote and asked for the refund the day before we were to arrive. In addition, I personally called and emailed Pan Pacific that afternoon and again the following morning, asking to cancel with a refund or reschedule for July or August when our pup would meet the US's 6month age requirement. The following day, I received an email from Pan Pacific refusing to refund my prepayment - even though we would not be able to come. They also falsely characterized my request as a same day cancellation. This is not some small B&B or family-owned hotel that may not be able to handle cancellations or for whom a cancellation of a three-night stay in their cheapest room class could have serious financial consequences. The Pan Pacific Hotels Group has a multitude of hotels in at least thirteen countries and advertise on their website that there are more coming soon. I can't think of a single reason why they wouldn't just let me postpone my reservation to later in the summer if they couldn't afford to simply cancel and refund my $700US and change (the total cost of all three nights). Also frustratingly, after refusing to refund my money for a room I couldn't use, they said they would provide me the "courtesy" of adding my family members' names to the reservation. My reservation was for myself, my 12 year-old, and our puppy - all of which was disclosed to them upon reserving the room. Clearly putting the room in my child's or puppy's name accomplishes nothing. And since I paid for the room, shouldn't they be required to let my designee stay in it? Is that really a courtesy? In my opinion, their "courtesy" was a meaningless, valueless platitude that felt, and was intended to feel, dismissive and rude. I truly miss the days of customers being valued and treated with a modicum of respect - or, at the very least, treated with the intention of creating customer goodwill and /or trying to obtain repeat business. Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre really appears not to care at all about their customer experience. And if that's true, wouldn't it be far better to stay at - and support - a hotel that does?

They've been around since 1990 and are known for their Montreal-style bagels and smoked meat, with bagels baked in a traditional flame oven using fresh ingredients. We arrived late in the day, near closing so by the time we got there, they had already sold out of a few bagel varieties. You can keep it simple and order bagels and flavored cream cheeses, or go for deli items and full sandwiches featuring Montreal smoked meat. I went with the regular Montreal smoked meat sandwich. It didn't take long to prepare, and we took our food over to the market's dining area. The portion was generous and came with a pickle on the side. The bagel itself tasted fairly standard to me--though to be fair, it was the end of the day--but the smoked meat was the real highlight: moist, tender, and full of flavor. That's the part I kept going back to bite after bite. Overall, I'm glad we stopped by. It's an easy, satisfying market meal and a great way to try a bit of Montreal-style deli culture in Vancouver. Next time, I'd definitely go earlier in the day for the full selection.

Came in the afternoon. There was so line whatsoever, no one before or after me. Looked like they had some online orders. The lady who took my order was impatient when I was ordering and kept rolled her eyes when I asked if there was anything else I should try. So I only ended up ordering the one popular bagel I see everyone get. Pick up was awkward, they didn't call out a number or wave me over. They just left it on the counter till I asked. I stood near them the whole time so I would've miss my order. Overall, wouldn't come back bc of that experience but also the bagel was okay. Either way it's probably worth a try if you're in this market place anyways.

This is a Japanese bagel spot that has a variety of interesting bagels - they're more like pastries than anything. I got the matcha mochi bagel which has red bean inside, and every bite as delicious. It's fortunately served warm when you buy it, though I went at 9am so it was fairly early in their opening hours so I am not sure how it fares later on. I wished I got a savory one for comparison and to try more options but I had to save room for future meals.

I had never heard of Japanese flavors in bagels so I was super intrigued. The location is a little tucked away but I followed the directions of other Yelpers and found the spot no problem! They have a small counter on the basement floor of a business building. There's lots of couches and tables so you could dine in if you want to! I had a very hard time choosing which flavors to get because they seriously all sounded good, but I went with: honey butter, red bean & cream cheese, and kinako chocolate. They were all really delicious but kinako chocolate was a stand out for me! Second favorite was the red bean & cream cheese for sure. I really wish that I had asked them to heat it up for us but I was worried that it'd get hard by the time we got back to the hotel. My only regret is that I couldn't finish all 3 bagels in one sitting and that I didn't stay longer to try out all the other flavors!
