Rosemary rocksalt bagel with chipotle lime cream cheese

Siegel's makes a delicious bagel! The service was very quick, even though they were extremely busy. I ordered the rosemary rocksalt with chipotle lime cream cheese. The bagel was flavourful and has a nice crisp texture. The cream cheese was tasty and had a good amount of heat. I will be back to try more bagel/cream cheese combinations!

Was visiting Vancouver for a weekend so of course we have to visit Granville Island Public Market to see the abundance of food options! We were walking around the market and this bagel place really caught my eye as they have a variety of cool bagel flavors that I haven't seen in the states like Rosemary Rocksalt and Sundried Tomato. We got the one of the lox bagels. This is my second time trying bagels in Canada and I still really like that their bagel is too heavy or doughy like the ones in NYC. The thinner bagel combined with the smoked salmon and cheese was in great proportion and really made it a delicious item to eat without feeling stuffed. Since this location is conveniently located inside the market, you can eat the bagel along the waterfront or at other public seatings they have inside the market. Love the ambiance at the market. Service is quick and good.

    Montreal-Style Bagels

When in Vancouver, you have to make a trip to Granville Island Public Market. I was hunting through the aisles looking for something to eat and some fresh bagels immediately caught my eye. On my first trip to Vancouver, I also had a lox cream cheese bagel. With that core memory in mind, I was determined to relive my quintessential Canadian experience. - Lox & Cream Cheese Bagel -- warm Montreal-style bagel, thick layer of salmon cushioned between cream cheese, finished with capers; rich, buttery, and the perfect lox-to-cream-cheese ratio Siegel's specializes in Montreal-style bagels, which differ from NYC bagels: they're boiled in honey water, baked in a wood-fired oven, slightly sweeter, and have a larger center hole with that soft-chewy inside and gently crisp exterior. There was a short line of others eyeing the fresh bagels, and you can watch them rolling dough right behind the counter. Service was quick and friendly--I got my bagel in under 5 minutes. Since Siegel's is located in the middle of Granville Island Public Market, you can grab your bagel and enjoy it right along the waterfront. The ambience inside is busy and bustling, but the moment you step out, the skyline views over the water are spectacular. A perfect snack paired with a perfect Vancouver moment.

    Smoke Meat Sandwich

I fell in love with Montreal-style bagels during a trip last year, and I've been hooked ever since! So I was thrilled to find Siegel's Bagels during our visit to Granville Market. One bite of the sundried tomato bagel with creme cheese and I knew I had to get more. Since I was flying back to LA the next day, I grabbed a dozen day-old bagels to bring home--6 sesame and 6 everything. Perfect for freezing and toasting later (just make sure to slice them first!). My husband couldn't resist the smoked meat sandwich and polished it off in no time. These bagels are the real deal--chewy, flavorful, and totally worth the carry-on space.

My friend and I came around 1PM on a Monday; although there was a line, it went by very quick. We ordered an Everything Bagel with Garlic Chive and another with Sun-Dried Tomato. Both cream cheeses were alright and not especially good. Bagel was on the denser and smaller side. Overall, indeed just an OK bagel spot.

Love these Montreal Style bagels. Smaller, crispier and denser than the New York bagels that I'm used to. Quick service and great options here. I had to go with the Salmon and Lox on an Everything bagel. I highly recommend it.

Siegels is one of the best bagels I've had in a while. The open kitchen, large oven is a show stopper. We ordered a rosemary bagel with Montreal beef. A little on the smaller side but 5/5 quality and flavour. Long line, worth it.

I heard a lot about Canada's "smoked meat" and stopped here for a late lunch while bicycling around town. The sandwich was generously filled with lightly smoked and tender beef; like a less peppery and less fatty pastrami. A half dill pickle accompanied the sandwich. The prices are very was very fair. The cashier was friendly. I recommend anyone who enjoys eating pastrami try Siegel's.

    Beautiful display of assorted bagels.

This location is not side the Granville Island Market. They make all the bagels on site menu is promising and cover all the bagel shop essentials. Bagels itself are on the smaller side with crispy outside and chewy inside. There are many different flavors available to choose from. Bagel display is neat and clean. There is always line at the register, but service is quick. I ordered smoked meat on everything bagel, with mustard. Although I ordered "large" but meat minimum amount and unevenly distributed. Mustard they used was lacking flavor. With all that and seeing all the visitors in line to order, I am sure this is tourist trap. They may have better and more convincing products in their other locations. Prices are higher side. I paid $13 for and everything bagel toasted with minimal smoked meat and one pickle. I think it is good to try this place once.

Worth the wait in line - get a sandwich, or just some bagels to go. They have have several flavours of rugelach, which is something I don't see often. If you are ordering a sandwich or bagel with cream cheese you might have to wait a bit if it is busy. Otherwise the line moves pretty quickly.

Reuben ($13.15) - 3.5 stars. A little skimpy on the meat. Fri lunch 2024-12-27

On the the Friday after Christmas (December 27), it was a 10-15 minute wait to order, then another 10 or so for our food. They did mix up two of our bagel halves, so instead of getting a plain bagel with cream cheese, my kids got half rosemary rock salt and half plain with cream cheese. Luckily one of them did like the rosemary rock salt. The food court was crazy busy but we were able to get a table for 5 of us. * Chocolate Walnut Rugelach - 3.5 stars. Tomato was really not fresh. * Egg, Tomato & Cheddar on Rosemary Rock Salt ($8.75) - 3.5 stars. * Cream cheese plain bagel ($4.75) - good enough, kids ate most of it! * Reuben ($13.15) - 3.5 stars. A little skimpy on the meat.

I'm still figuring if I'm a bagel person! But when we were here, I definitely wanted to try their bagel, such a queue to order. I got the everything bagel extra toasted with cream cheese, the game changer was the raw onion and capers on the side. The bagels are just lovely and taste amazing with the capers and onions. Perfectly hard on the outside and soft on the inside unlike some bagels I've had that are rock hard. My husband got some lox on the side and he actually just had that and loved it. Glad I could try this place. I am a bagel person! ‍

This is a Japanese bagel spot that has a variety of interesting bagels - they're more like pastries than anything. I got the matcha mochi bagel which has red bean inside, and every bite as delicious. It's fortunately served warm when you buy it, though I went at 9am so it was fairly early in their opening hours so I am not sure how it fares later on. I wished I got a savory one for comparison and to try more options but I had to save room for future meals.

I had never heard of Japanese flavors in bagels so I was super intrigued. The location is a little tucked away but I followed the directions of other Yelpers and found the spot no problem! They have a small counter on the basement floor of a business building. There's lots of couches and tables so you could dine in if you want to! I had a very hard time choosing which flavors to get because they seriously all sounded good, but I went with: honey butter, red bean & cream cheese, and kinako chocolate. They were all really delicious but kinako chocolate was a stand out for me! Second favorite was the red bean & cream cheese for sure. I really wish that I had asked them to heat it up for us but I was worried that it'd get hard by the time we got back to the hotel. My only regret is that I couldn't finish all 3 bagels in one sitting and that I didn't stay longer to try out all the other flavors!

Parking here totally sucks, so take the bus like a hippie. I must admit the bagel selection is pretty good here. There are both sweet and savoury varieties. The bagels seem reasonably fresh, and the flavours are pretty good. I had a shrimp salad on a jalapeno bun, and it was quite good. The bagel was pretty crunchy, and the filling was somewhat fresh. I also had their blueberry bagel with pineapple filling. This one was like eating a cake. Yum! Staff (2 Korean ladies) are very friendly. The only thing that gets me is the price. $4 for a bagel really isn't cheap. Thank goodness for those entertainment coupons.

Well, let me say first of all, that I would probably never come back, but certainly not without a coupon! Their sandwiches are ridiculously over-priced. They must slice their cheese with a razor blade, because you can practically see through it. I paid $7.11 for a ham & cheese bagel - and I found out they charge $.40 extra for a cheese bagel. They also do not let you use the coupon for salmon (lox) or the 'club' sandwiches. I asked for my bagel NOT toasted, but after eating my sandwich, I'm thinking I should've had it toasted because the bagel is not fresh. It's hard and way too chewy. I love bagels, and this is one of the worst I've had, especially considering that it's coming from a bagel shop. I can go to Subway for a FOOTLONG ham & cheese sandwich with all the fixings ($6.71) for less than what you pay for a little bagel sandwich. And Subway doesn't charge extra for their cheese bread.
