One of the best pizza places in the Portland are. This one is located in Tigard off of Hwy 99. The Pizza is more expensive than other chain restaurants, but worth it. The crust is AMAZING. Be prepared to have it be an hour for pick up if it is the dinner hour or busier event windows because this place is popular. Jonesing for pizza, my wife and I decided to give Pizza Caboose a whirl after seeing one of their trucks deliver to our neighbors yesterday. I decided to pick it up and ordered an extra large Hawaiian with extra canadian bacon on a thin crust. The first thing I noticed was how light the box was. Really light. When I got it home and opened I was pleased with the amount of toppings. It looked pretty good. Sadly, that initial satisfaction was short-lived. The pizza had almost no sauce on it and the crust looked and tasted like it came right out of the freezer. It was very bland and had a cardboard texture. That and little to no sauce, results in a very dry pizza. That said, the atmosphere is nice and the counter service was very friendly. The building does sit back off the highway and is easy to miss if you've never been. All told, I can't recommend their pizza as it wasn't cheap, was undersized (16"; most extra larges start at 18 and go up), had no sauce, and a dry, stale crust. I will not be back. We ordered online and picked up 2 large pizzas from Pizza Caboose. Easy to create your own pizza from numerous items offered online our first pie was a large thin crust with olive oil, mozzarella, canadian bacon, sausage, and green olives. Our second pie was the every kind of meat they had on thin crust. The restaurant is hidden behind a small bowling alley with a lot in front. When we arrived the pies were done and payment was quick and out the door we went in less than 5 minutes. Pizzas were pretty outstanding and I must say my creation with the green olives was OUTSTANDING! Prices can be viewed as high (about $30 per pie) but quality is outstanding. Pizza Caboose - Yay! Very disappointed in the service. We drove all the way down from Olympia only to find their dining room is not open. They had between 6-10 people working behind the counter but blamed the closed dining room to short staffed. Meanwhile, we ended up going to another pizza place (48 North Pizza) a mile away with only three staff and they had indoor dining. read more

When in doubt of the perfect thing to get your hungry boyfriend for dinner and you should always pick pizza. I actually see pizza caboose all over my neighborhood and I got it recommended by my neighbor. You know that people are recommending you the good stuff when they actually have a map of your apartment complex. The pizza was delicious in flavor they were able to accommodate the fact that I want a pineapple on my side and my boyfriends doesn't and so their half-and-half was easy to do although I did have to call it in and I felt like I was in middle school again. I've had friends that swore the Caboose's pies were the best in town. I've had their pies during meetings, etc. in years past too and they were always good and a bit different. We recently started trying their pies because we got so disgusted with the inconsistency and declining quality of Bellagios' on Barbur and the Caboose delivers without using a third-party service. We're so glad we switched our go-to pizza delivery to the Caboose. Their pies are better than I ever recall. No need to wonder if the cheese and toppings are real or ???, the crust is excellent and the delivery prompt and has never handed us a dropped or cold pie. If you haven't yet, give the Caboose a try. Awful. The sauce tastes like a can.. Not a decent can of crushed San marzano tomatoes. No. Like a cheap "pizza sauce" can. Their marinara literally comes in a pre packaged pudding cup. What PIZZA place doesn't make their own sauce/marinara? It's so easy to make a good one.. Toppings are also bad. Obviously frozen, not at all fresh. Very bland. I mean VERY BLAND! We read great reviews and recommendations on this place. I placed an order on line which was very convenient. My husband and I ordered the "cow catcher" which is ground beef and mushroom with original crust. The first time, we ordered a small and it's enough for only one person (4 slices). The next time, we ordered the same but in a large. Both times it was delicious! If a crust is stale or burnt, I don't eat it at all. Their crust was PERFECT and I ate the entire slice. I feel it would be disingenuous if I did not point out that this review is being written during the COVID-19 lockdown. I've seen their little trucks driving around Tigard for years so my wife and I decided to give them a try during the lockdown as we're trying to make an extra effort to support local businesses. I placed an order via their web site at about 5:00 pm on a Saturday, indicating we wanted it delivered for 7:00 pm. The time came and went and at about 7:20 pm I called to see if I could get an ETA. The person on the phone told me it had been made and was out for delivery. I very much understand that places are very busy with take-out and delivery orders during the lockdown so I thanked him and told him we'd hold tight. Around 8:00 pm the order finally arrived, the driver commenting something to the effect that the person who was supposed to have delivered the order didn't take it. I offered him a tip anyway, which he declined. The pizza was decent but I'm not sure it's twice as good as a Papa Murphy's take-n-bake. I think next time we'll save some money and go back to Papa Murphy's. read more

I have both grabbed delivery from here extremely drunk as well as ran in to grab a few bites with large groups. Drunk me would like to suggest that this pizza can be eaten in one sitting. you will be extremely full but you can accomplish it if you put your mind to it. Drunk me also noted that the bread sticks are not necessary if your planning on destroying an entire pizza to yourself at midnight. Sober me showing up to eat that this pizza shop says the pizza is pretty good as well. The taco pizza is great and the slices are the right size for handling and for eating. the little trains all over the facility are also a nice touch. This is probably my favorite pizza place in town. If you're going to spend money on pizzas-splurge a little and go here! The inside of the restaurant is a little old fashioned with cute little trains running overhead. There's also a nice big fireplace to sit around! I'm kind of a fan of little "hole-in-the-wall" places, and this is it for me. The pizza is absolutely delicious. I have never had bad pizza here, ever. They have some unique flavor combinations that are just mouthwatering! The sauce is tangy and sweet, and just a little spicy. The pizza crust is thick and crunchy, but towards the middle just a bit softer -perfecto! The staff is always kind and friendly, I typically just pick up but they deliver too. A solid 4 stars. Came here for dinner not sure what to expect, though intrigued by the high Yelp ratings. Upon entering, you're greeted with lots of train paraphernalia and a general feeling like you're in a legit 1970's/1980's pizza parlor. I'm talking old school, in a good way (at least in terms of the vintage ambiance). Once at the counter, a very helpful employee walked me through how it works and the fact that they make all their dough and sauce. I ordered a large custom pizza (black olives, green peppers, and pepperoni/sausage on halves) along with a small side of potato spikes. And the price was fair - $25 or so. Then we took a seat in the caboose and waited for our pizza to arrive. In probably 10 minutes, it came to our table along with the spikes. The pizza is excellent (I preferred the sausage over the pepperoni). The spikes also were really freakin' good with the ranch dipping sauce. I would absolutely come back here again. We've been coming here since our kids were toddlers. Always a good time and good pizza. Great staff. Love the train and fireplace. One suggestion: It's too quiet inside. Sounds too library-ish at times. Definitely need some music. A jukebox would be awesome -- as well as generate $ for the establishment. Maybe in place of the stuffed animal claw machine. read more
