Full disclosure: wood fired pizza isn't my favorite but I was excited to give Pizza Bruno a try! Came in with a friend and decided to share two pies so we ordered a ghost pie and a dirt nap. They were out of prosciutto so we asked they sub in pepperoni. I think the big red flag for me was that it took forty minutes for these two pies. Yes, forty! The place wasn't even close to busy enough to justify that. Additionally, while waiting my friend decided to grab a beer and thought that the beverages were self service since the fridge was readily accessible in the middle of restaurant. The server rushed over to explain that drinks needed to be ordered. Just a strange setup to be honest. As for the pizza itself? The flavors were really nice and I liked the combos on the specialty menu. The dirt nap was probably my favorite though I would order one of the NY style crusts if I returned. I am not in a rush to return though I would if in the area. I do love the Maitland social hall for the casual ambiance and outdoor space. However, I can't get past that forty minute wait time and without apology or acknowledgment from the staff. Every other pie joint can typically churn them out in under fifteen minutes max. read more

Pizza Bruno is not too shabby, I must say. Now, I've never dined in their actual space (nor have I ordered my own pizza with them). So, I cannot speak to the decor or ambiance of their OWN space. Usually, a friend of mine orders from them, and we dine in the bar area of Packwoods. However, anytime someone has ordered their pizza, I've enjoyed the one or two slices I've partaken in. I will definitely give them a proper visit to really sit and dine in their space, as well as order something from their menu. Until then, my surface-level experiences have been good. read more

I tried Pizza Bruno while visiting the Maitland social and really enjoyed the food. The servers were super nice and even offered to cut my pizza with a clean knife when I told them I didn't eat pork. I got the Wednesday special which is a NYC pizza with an extra topping and it was really tasty. I highly recommend checking them out! read more

I thought this place was ok. Seating although fairly empty was a little confusing. It says wait to be seated but there was no one looking to sit us for a while. It then took a while for someone to serve us, and again it wasn't that crowded. The good part is they have a lunch special. The bad part is, it's about a $20 lunch. You do leave full and the 12 inch pizza and salad, are a good sized portion. The kale salad was amazing. I would go back just for that, if the portion size is bigger for just the salad. I wanted something that wasn't pizza (ironic that I went to a place called Pizza Bruno) but they do have salads and at lunch only they have 2 piadina options, the Italian or the meatball. I opted for the Italian Piadina and I was delighted. The dressing I was told was a vinaigrette but there was a whisper of sweetness which was a nice counterpoint to the saltiness of the Italian meats and melted mozzarella. Hands down, five stars for Lexi! She handled 16 of us, demanding, hungry patrons like a champ! She was amazing. From the moment we walked into the moment we left, she handled every request, every dislike, every time delay with grace. She is absolutely wonderful. Now for the food, I didn't think it was better or worse than the original pizza Bruno. The garlic knots had a lot of oil in it this time which scared me because I didn't want anyone to get sick. The pizza was cold when it came out and it was very greasy. The wings are grilled, I thought they were oven baked, and a little bit crispy, but they are Not crispy and the skin is very much the texture of skin. So those were my lessons learned here! 5 stars for our first visit to this location of Pizza Bruno. The space inside is super cute and there's patio seating if you'd like to bring your furry friend! We haven't been to Pizza Bruno for some time but I remembered really liking it before. Since we were running a little behind we wanted to order ahead and came across a sweet deal on Uber eats bogo Original OG pizza! The original og is normally $18 but a little more on the app for $20 I'll definitely be back to try some other pizza pies and you can't go wrong with their famous v garlicky rolls, $12. Arrived right at opening for lunch. Got seated right away. Our seater/server, Evan, was super friendly and helpful. Garlic knots are the star here. They are so good. Delicious and wow! The OG pizza was so crisp and fresh. Tasted amazing, the crust was perfect. Now let me tell you about this sandwich! You MUST try it. It's also huge. Filled with Italian deli meats, nice vinaigrette , some arugula and cheese. $12 on lunch special irs so worth it. I was so excited to try this new location and it was worth the wait. I visited on a Friday evening around 730 and the place was occupied but not overly busy. They had a few seats available, but I chose to sit at the bar for dinner and a show. The staff greeted me warmly and offered me water as soon as I sat. As I pondered over the menu I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and being offered some complementary olives. They had a great selection of 80s and 90s music playing the place was clean and tidy. Now on to the pizza. This pizza was so delicious. I can imagine craving it again soon. I'm looking forward to returning and trying to meatballs and the house bread.. their salads are a work of art and I can't wait to try that as well. I am someone who does not eat dressing, but I tried their house ranch and I wish they bottled it up for sale. It's so delicious. We stumbled upon pizza bruno and were glad that we did! This place had a great, pretty cozy ambiance (must be the rainy day adding to it). We were seated and taken care of pretty quickly. Their garlic knots were overflowing with garlic and it was delicious! Their Blanca pizza was also pretty yummy. The touch of lemon in the ricotta was such a good choice to help cut through the heaviness of the pizza. It had a good amount of arugula on top, which we appreciated. I wish there was more balsamic glaze drizzled on the pizza. The crust was pretty burnt for my liking, so I wish it was less burnt. Overall, vibes were good, food was good, people were good! I wish I could give this place 100 stars. The highlight of the meal was the garlic bread appetizer. I am going to be daydreaming about it for days! It comes in a plate of garlic, covered in garlic - every garlic lover's dream. The red sauce was a great compliment and the bread was so soft. I would come here for that alone! The pizza was thin, the way I prefer my pizza, and the toppings tasted fresh. The workers were very attentive, friendly and I appreciated that they cleaned our plates. It was well lit and clean, but there were not a lot of tables so I recommend coming earlier. I love pizza places and this one is really close to home, so points for location. The pizza was good, and my pepperoni pizza was loaded up with pepperoni, so that was good, too. I like pizza with a Coke and they were out of Coke when I went, but had plenty of other options of beverages, especially beer. The server was really friendly and helpful and even apologetic for being out of several items, but even that was very commendable when poor service or attitude is so common. Being a night owl, I was somewhat surprised they closed so early in the evening. Like 9pm early! The space is cool and even has some tables outdoors. My suggestions would be for the owners to put up some planters to have a visual and noise buffer from the constant noise traffic on Horatio. And while grunge and angsty music was not my preference that late at night (never really but especially when I'm ready to relax) but to each their own. Some might like that genre, but my guess is those that like grunge will be out WAY past 9pm. The music alone would keep me from going back but I like the food, the location, the friendly servers and the vibe so that will probably even override the angry music, as it did the night I was there. read more

No one came to the table to explain until we complained after 35 -40 minutes and even then was told "would be out soon", no accommodation or apologies. I travel to Winter Park a couple of times throughout the year for work and heard about Pizza Bruno. The first time, I went to the College Park location and wasn't all that impressed. I was then told that the locations cook their pies a little differently and I should have gone to the Curry Rd one. Tried that and thought it was amazing. When this new location opened in Maitland (5 minutes from my work office), I was excited to give it a try. I ordered for my team 2 classic originals, 2 Roni's, 1 Roni +sausage and 1 "The Dude." The "Original" was good, but not "amazing" in my book. The Roni stepped it up and had really good flavor. But "The Dude" is my new favorite. Definitely inspired by cacio e pepe and has exceptional flavor and just the right amount of pepper to pair with the Pecorino Romano. Side note - the guy I spoke with on the phone was awesome - very polite. He even called me back 5 minutes after we hung to let me know the time he quoted me that it would take would be a little bit longer than originally thought. read more

Loved Pizza Bruno when they catered our party in 2023 ( I gave them such a glowing review), but they are not displaying the same attention to detail in their new Maitland restaurant. Untrained staff ( no plates for the pizza and utensils given- holding cups at the lip with dirty hands), sour wine, pizza was off. The meatballs and kale salad were good. Spent $130. They ask for a tip when you place an order and then did not do anything. I know they can do better. I hope they turn this around. This was just so disappointing. read more
