Me and my girlfriend ordered takeout from here not long ago, we called to place an order and we could not understand a word the owner said, about five minutes after we placed the order, the owner called us back and yelled at us demanding cash and said that his card reader wasn't working. He yelled at us and said "GIVE ME CASH OR NO PIZZA". we drove over to the restaurant and we had a very similar interaction where the owner was very aggressive and demanded cash and told us to pay three dollars more than the listed price(we had a coupon for 2 large pizzas for $21.95) he told us to pay 24 dollars and that "the menu prices were outdated" which was probably false and he was just trying to scam us because he knows that the pizza sucks and the restaurant is losing business. We get back to the house and we open the pizza box and me and my girlfriend both take a bite of the pizza and we gagged at how disgusting it tasted! It had absolutely NO SAUCE, just weird textured dough and crappy cheese. The restaurant itself also looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 30 years. We tried the pizza we had again the next day, I had 4 slices and my girlfriend had 2, we both got minor food poisoning and were bedridden for 5 hours. NEVER EVER GO HERE, save your money and your stomach, go to dominos instead, they have better pizza and better service. we will never come back and have this disgusting, vile "pizza" ever again. 2/10/2018 - pizza has improved a lot! Chicken sub was decent. Good marinade on chicken a lot of meat. Chicken wing dinner had tiny salad with dressing, nice amount of fries, but 8 tiny wings. Pizza is flavorless and dry. Gave them another shot a few months later. Same experience, only this time the food was 15 mins. late, no apology from driver, and cold. Pizza still flavorless and dry. We ordered a pizza to Hopkinton tonight. The pizza is listed as 17.66 on their website. We were told that we could pay with card when they arrived. After 1 hour our delivery driver got here. 1. He said his swipe didn't work 2. He said our order was 37$ then 21$ when asked for a receipt 3. We were forced to pay $40 for a pizza. Wanted to try something new and gave this place a try. I definitely recommend it, the small pizza itself was amazing and was really impressed after looking at mixed reviews. The staff were super friendly and made good conversation. Very personable and welcoming. If I had to pick any complaint about the pizza it was that the middle gets slightly softer than the outside of the pizza due to the cheese being on top of the other toppings. I'd ask if you could put cheese on first after the sauce to try to avoid this. Other than that the pizza had amazing flavor, crispy edges, and good quality toppings. read more

I have been ordering from Pizza Bella for the past year. Every single item I got was fantastic. Tonight, we ordered the chicken sandwich and steak pizza. The chicken sandwich was to die for. They have this four-cheese white pizza with feta that's really good, but we tell them to go light on the feta, otherwise it takes over the whole pizza. We haven't had any issues with delivery; they usually take about 45 min from the time that we order until we get the pizza in hand. read more

While I really like the pizza. Today is my 3rd time ordering delivery. It's super slow. As of right now, I have been waiting 50 minutes. Wish I could give more stars, as the food is usually fantastic. But after two recent events I will no longer be patronizing this establishment. The first involved a GrubHub incident- the order appeared to process as normal, but apparently my credit card information didn't go through. No biggie, as this appears to be grubhub's fault and not theirs, but the delivery boy was incredibly hostile about it. He honestly seemed like he was on drugs of some kind, probably uppers. He immediately basically accused us of trying to scam him after we gave him his cash tip, without explaining the situation. I had to explain that I had used my credit card- great customer service there on this place and grubhub's end. He was still incredibly urgent and had a very creepy fake/grin after pretending to calm down, as if we were trying to insult him or steal from him. Very aggressive and somewhat scary, considering we are two females alone in a house and he was a very large and threatening man. Treating a customer this way over a mistake/miscommunication that WAS NOT THEIR FAULT is not how you get repeat business. Not to mention that forcing me to give my number to some random on the phone screams "scam artist"- I will he closely monitoring my bills for the next few months. If I see any out of turn statements, I'll know who did it. To top it all off, the food was cold and gross. The calzone was dry, not at all delicious like it had been in the past, and tasted funny. Like the sauce was expired. Plus there was barely any chicken in it. Despite all these errors I tried them one more time. And once again I received an odd tasting and not very generous calzone. At least it was hot. The only good thing I can say about this place is their cheese fries are fantastic. For everything else, you're better off going to Mangia or Pizza mine. They're a little more expensive but it's worth it for the food quality and customer service. They will have to MASSIVELY improve if they expect the business of me, my family or any of my friends in the future. They used to be amazing so idk what happened! I recently moved to a surrounding town. Since I have moved I have ordered a couple times from this place, because as a mom of a newborn, you just may not have the energy to cook lunch or dinner at times. Food has been decent, which is why I have ordered more than once. Today I placed an order and to my surprise it was cancelled. I called and spoke to a man who said I live too far. I was surprised because I have ordered delivery a few times. He continued to say "yea you live 7 miles away and the driver is not going to drive out that far when you didn't leave a tip"! I paid with my card, but typically if I have cash I will tip in cash instead of charge it because I have worked in the food industry as a server so I understand the difference it makes. I'm disgusted with lack of consideration from Pizza Bella. You should be ashamed that you made that assumption and lost a customer due to your lack of professionalism and service. read more

I had a bad experience here recently. It was my first (and last) time ordering delivery from Pizza Bella. I laugh when reading about the "super fast" delivery in the other recent reviews, because the woman who delivered my sub literally DROVE UP MY FRONT LAWN TO MY FRONT DOOR. I don't think she has a driver's license to be honest. (She was foreign and didn't speak English.) She drove OVER a small snowbank to boot! LOL. I wish I had a video. She drove PAST our driveway, over the snowbank, and onto the grass. I know this because she left tire marks. Imagine my surprise when I opened the front door to see her standing there with my sub, and her headlights directly behind her! (I can laugh about it now.) The sub was just okay. Not great but not bad. The packaged brownie was disgusting. It was so artificial-looking (read: chemicals) that I literally threw it out. I called the manager to tell him about the driver and he didn't seem to care, really. He said, "if she does it again, I'll fire her."... I guess that is caring? idk. I emailed them about refunding my pre-paid (online order) delivery tip, but I never heard back, so I disputed this through PayPal and was able to get my tip refunded that way. Oy! So, if you have "Wow!! Super fast delivery"...or..."it arrived [in 20 minutes]! Speedy service," you probably didn't see her tearing down the street to your home! ...in reading other reviews, it looks like they have a history of not screening their drivers very well. We've been on the hunt for good pizza since moving to Ashland from Newton in March. Pizza Bella is not good. We were hopeful after seeing 4 stars, but were very disappointed. The dough was thick, bland, under cooked and floppy, but the crust somehow tasted stale. All we could taste in the sauce was oregano and there was way too much cheese (and we love cheese). The cheese to sauce ratio was way off. The only good thing on this pizza was the pepperoni. Even Papa Gino's blows this place out of the water. I guess we'll continue the search for edible pizza in Ashland. read more

They make killer salads. My personal recommendations include the Greek salad with chicken or lamb. Loaded with meat and dressing on the side. And if you like falafel, try their falafel pocket. Having had pizza from here once before and remembering it was pretty good, we ordered last night. 2 small pizzas, both of which ended up in the trash. Undercooked, clumpy cheese, minimal sauce and not much flavor. I have to remind myself that the pizza around here is never going to taste like what I grew up on in NY/NJ - but this wasn't even close to good pizza. I had to recut it myself, and then put it in the oven for a few minutes in the hope it would crisp up; it did a little but the cheese/toppings just slid off. After moving here from Providence, RI, where we had great delivery options, we have been searching for a consistently good restaurant. We've finally found it! So far I've had their pizza, jalapeno poppers (the cream cheese ones... Yay!!), chicken kabob dinner and my husband had the wings. Everything was delicious and the kabob dinner was enough for two meals. This is my go to place from now on. Only down side, and this is just personal preference, the wings are breaded. I got an alfredo chicken and broccoli calzone. It was pretty good. My only complaint about it was the broccoli was mostly stems. It doesn't exactly add to the quality of the calzone. Oh, and it came with two little cups of marinara sauce that was just awful. It was like watery SpaghettiOs sauce. My wife loves the Grilled Chicken Salad. I have a couple "favorites". The first is the Cheeseburger Sub, next is Steak and Cheese Sub and my third one (I'll try others too) is a Tuna Sub.
