Meatballs
Nick C.

Great new pizza spot in Coral Gables. The star of the show is definitely their sourdough crust. It is so soft and airy. I started with the joysticks, which ended up surprising me the most. They were delicious and I could totally see this concept taking off as they add new flavors. The meatballs were good, not as warm as I would have like them, but the red sauce really shined on that dish. The pizzas are a little on the small side. I ordered the fancy cheese and the pepperoni. As mentioned, the dough is so light you can easily down a whole pizza without feeling uncomfortably stuffed. Service was great. If I lived closer I'd probably come here more frequently, but it's definitely a spot id come back to. Given it's in coral gables it's a bit on the pricier side for pizza. The only thing that I found a bit annoying was that the pizzas weren't properly sliced, which made them a little difficult to serve and eat.

It's essentially a Detroit style square pizza with crunchy caramelized cheese on the crust around the edges. The pepperoni here is first rate--thick cut and crunchy cupped on the pizza. Try to experience the pepperoni if you can. This restaurant is on The Miracle Mile and has limited outdoor seating, but very nice and plentiful indoor seating, as well as a bar area. It's a nice place to eat in. Keep in mind that deep dish pizza just take longer to cook, so it might seem slow to arrive. I would make sure they put the pizza order in as soon as possible and get that ordered first. You will have plenty of time to think about the appetizers and order them.

The setting was actually really nice--quiet, cozy, with a good mix of families and friends. We sat outside and the overall vibe felt promising. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill pretty quickly. As soon as we sat, the waitress greeted us by saying the kitchen was closing at 10 and asked if we already knew what we wanted. It immediately felt rushed and not very welcoming. We ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, which was good--slightly citrusy for my taste, but enjoyable. For food, I had the chicken Caesar salad and my husband ordered the seafood gluten-free pasta. My salad was disappointing--it had more croutons than chicken, which made it feel unbalanced and not worth the price. His pasta was even more underwhelming, with only three shrimp and a few clams. When we brought it up, the manager came over and explained that portions are measured by the restaurant, but offered to add more chicken and shrimp if we wanted. While I appreciate the offer, it felt like something that should have been corrected automatically, not something we had to ask for--especially considering these are full-priced entrées, not side dishes. Overall, the ambiance was nice, but the food and service didn't meet expectations. For the price point, I expected better portions and a more thoughtful response to feedback. Maybe pizza is a safer option here, but based on this experience, I wouldn't return.
