Came to this location for lunch. The service was great and I was able to try a pasta that I've been searching for. It was so worth it! The service was great and the staff were very attentive. The location is very well decorated and feels very authentic.

We visited Piccola for my little one's birthday because she wanted to try a new Italian spot, and it did not disappoint! We called to ask about reservations and they mentioned that there was a large party of 20 arriving soon and told us to try to come quickly. The place has a nice ambiance and very attentive waiter named Jesus. We started with the meatballs as an appetizer, and they were absolutely delicious. The marinara sauce was so flavorful, and the meatballs come served in a bread bowl, which was perfect for dipping. We couldn't stop pulling pieces off the bowl to soak up the sauce--so good! My daughter had the cheese pizza and absolutely loved it! She said it was super cheesy, just the way she likes it. The crust was soft, so she used a fork since it was a little too floppy to pick up, but that didn't take away from how much she enjoyed it. My husband ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, and he was really impressed. The portion was generous and filling, and the flavors were on point. I opted for the fettuccine allá carbonara, and it was another hit. The creamy sauce was rich without being too heavy, and the fresh pasta made it even better. It was such a good portion size that I ended up taking half of it home. Overall, we had a great time, and we'll definitely be returning! Highly recommend Piccola for anyone looking for a tasty Italian meal.

I was craving pizza and I'm familiar with the name so I decided to pop in after a facial nearby. It was fairly empty in the evening but very clean and the music was a vibe. Leo took great care of me. I ordered a sweet red wine and Parmigiana - he sampled me on the wine and I'm glad he did because I didn't really care for it and he suggested a better alternative (sparkling wine). The pizza itself was just what I needed - I got a personal (classic) and it was enough to fill me up + leftovers for lunch. After I closed out, he surprised me with tiramisu which was so rich and delicious! Overall this was a great choice and I'd be happy visit this location again if Leo is working :)

Good Neapolitan pizza located in Miracle Mile shops in Coral Gables, with a bit confusing prices. As new visitors to the area, my wife and I stopped in on a Sunday night without a reservation and were seated right away. There is a small open-air outdoor area, and quite a few tables inside along with an open kitchen that has a stone neopolitan pizza oven. Piccola has a pretty comprehensive Italian focused menu, attracting families and young singles alike. Being located in this highly competitive area, prices seemed OK. I knew they served both single size pizzas, but also had option called alla pala, a 17 inch length pizza meant for two. We ordered the Pala pepperoni ($26) along with an attempt to get a Peroni ($5) and a glass of the house red ($6.90...very good). Our waiter brusquely told us that there was no Peroni (as if I should have known), but told us they had a different beer (Poretti lager...not listed on the menu but was $6, which is still a fair price for an imported beer, so got that). He also indicated that we could choose to 'split' the pizza with a different topping, which I thought was a good idea (since a lot of places don't do that). I took advantage of by asking for italian sausage. Strangely, this triggered a back and forth where he wanted to make sure I wanted half pepperoni and half sausage, which I affirmed (dude...you were the one who initially asked)..well, the end result was that we got half pepperoni/half sausage but got charged for the Pala pepperoni pizza and an extra $5 for topping of sausage...not too much extra money but irritating to me since I couldn't think of a situation where this was an honest mistake (unless of course, they charge full price for half toppings, but if that is the case, why did you offer in the first place, unless it's a pure money grab?). As indicated above, communication wasn't good, so had no intention of ruining my wife's night by arguing about it. The pizza itself was very good, enough quantity for two people. They definitely americanized it by adding a decent amount of low moisture mozzarella. I'm used to italian sausage, "chicago style", which means a lot of fennel seed. This version wasn't that, which my wife appreciated. They were large chunks, cooked through, and added a lot to the pizza. If I would do over, I would skip the american pepperoni and just get the sausage. The crust was good, the outer topping-less edge was worth eating just by itself. Tap water is not offered automatically, thinking asking for water would trigger bottled flat for a charge, which seems to be common for Miami restaurants (and in Europe for sure). Service was OK, somewhat cold professional friendly (experienced that a bit at other places around Miami as well, especially in our last trip), almost putting one on edge a little bit. Payment is done at table, and like other places, expectation of at least 18% to 22% tip were the gratuity choices.

I came for lunch on an X day before the Fourth of July. The place was empty but so is Miami... I ordered the meat lovers pizza, which was simply incredible. The owner/chef made it himself. This place is a hidden gem, and it used to be spritz but the prior owner after spirit sold it named Coppola and did not do a good job so it closed , I have to say that when spritz was in business this place was very good , now is back in the hands of a true Italian from Napoli who knows how to make beautiful food, I will definitely be coming back

I happened to find Piccola pizza just strolling through the streets of Coral Gables on a Sunday afternoon. It had a very welcoming atmosphere with Italian decor and modern seating. The staff was inviting and helpful with recommendations. I ended up getting an eggplant parm and the Tartufata pizza topped with truffle and mushrooms. I am a little suspicious of the eggplant not being fresh because it came out two minutes after we ordered it. Nevertheless, the taste of both items was fantastic. The pizza was clearly baked from scratch and tasted very fresh. It was thin yet very filling. The restaurant was clean and I like the fact they put glass in front of the cooking station so you can see them prepare your pizza. If I am ever in the area, I would definitely go here for another visit!

We just had lunch at Piccola and it was delicious! The food was fresh, seasoned perfectly and reasonably priced. For dessert we had the Tiramisu Classico which I could eat every day! Our server was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Ambiance is cozy and friendly. A place well worth checking out if you are in the Gables area!

Don't waste your time at any other Italian or pizza restaurant in Miami. The pizza, carpaccio, eggplant parmigiana and chicken Milanese was classic and delicious and tastes just like it does in Italy (i would know I was born and raised in Italy). The owner and servers are Italian from Naples and we had amazing service. The outside and inside are super modern and cute too! 10/10 recommend - go!

The setting was actually really nice--quiet, cozy, with a good mix of families and friends. We sat outside and the overall vibe felt promising. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill pretty quickly. As soon as we sat, the waitress greeted us by saying the kitchen was closing at 10 and asked if we already knew what we wanted. It immediately felt rushed and not very welcoming. We ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, which was good--slightly citrusy for my taste, but enjoyable. For food, I had the chicken Caesar salad and my husband ordered the seafood gluten-free pasta. My salad was disappointing--it had more croutons than chicken, which made it feel unbalanced and not worth the price. His pasta was even more underwhelming, with only three shrimp and a few clams. When we brought it up, the manager came over and explained that portions are measured by the restaurant, but offered to add more chicken and shrimp if we wanted. While I appreciate the offer, it felt like something that should have been corrected automatically, not something we had to ask for--especially considering these are full-priced entrées, not side dishes. Overall, the ambiance was nice, but the food and service didn't meet expectations. For the price point, I expected better portions and a more thoughtful response to feedback. Maybe pizza is a safer option here, but based on this experience, I wouldn't return.
